When we booked, we did not realize that this is a vacation club resort. They did not pressure us to go for a presentation. We said no thanks and they were fine with that. We were only there 2 nights and were out exploring the area most of the time, so we really only used our room and had desert in the restaurant. Staff were great and the resort has lots of activities. If you enjoy fun outdoors activities, they have a lot to do. It is a really large gated and secured property with plenty to do on the property. Close to other attractions as well. Check it out!

The cabins are amazing. They are really spacious and very well fitted out. The location is exceptional, beautiful, scenic, and very quiet. 5 minutes drive from historic Gordonsville and only 45 minutes drive from Shenandoah National Park. The staff were exceptional from check-in to check out. Special mention to Deanna on reception, who was so professional and helpful. The facilities are outstanding with several swimming pools, mini golf, tennis, kayaking, horse riding, and lots of craft activities for kids and adults alike. The hotel and all it offers is excellent value for money and we would highly recommend it. A wonderful experience.

We wish we had stayed longer!

This place is wonderful for families - the setting is beautiful and so much to do for everyone, without having to leave the gates. The price for extra activities was reasonable and the free coffee machine for guests was a great touch.

The food at the restaurant/general store was good but quite heavy, particularly at breakfast (which was only available at weekends). This made it tricky to feed hungry children in the morning when staying at the lodge. A standard hotel breakfast (toast, fruit, etc.) would have been a welcome addition we would have opted in to.

the place was beautiful. I like that it was spaced out. Lots of things to do. The rooms and cabins were clean and supplied with everything you needed. Front staff was always pleasant and helpful. The boat are staff was nice and boats awesome

Coffee machine was broken the whole time we were there. The restaurant staff was often rude. The staff in the craft area - was often rude.

Staff were all super friendly. We enjoyed using the sports equipment, playgrounds and pools. Golf carts were fun .

Kitchen appliances all had some flaws. We had to set something in front of the fridge to keep it closed. Dishwasher leaked so we stuck the floppy gasket back in to stop that. Range bottom drawer was broken.

Beautiful setting, location, tranquil... Staff very friendly. Breakfast tasty..

No chairs in room to sit. Breakfast a lil expensive. Aquatic recreation, rental stops too early, 3:30pm...Operational hours should be extended during day light saving period.

The facilities and activities offered were fantastic. The pool area was beautiful and stables were wonderful to see.

We've been there before a few years ago and the General Store used to have more items in it. There were a few things we forgot that we thought the store would have but they didn't.

Everything was beautiful. So many activities like tennis putt golf horseback riding kayaking.

We had some trouble with our air conditioner. They were very prompt to try and fix it. They offered us the option to move to a different room. It takes a few minutes to get to restaurants.

Very peacefully and beautiful views the staff on point and love the variety of attractions to have fun. Overall awesome experience well recommended

Everything was excellent but I can recommend to put more light in the room more illumination

We loved the activities and accommodations at the property. The cabin was comfortable and clean.

Our check in was delayed 2 hours because the cabin was not ready and the parking was very tight.
