The location is good, walking distance from the city center. The room was okay, including basic needs such as a mini fridge, an electric stove and a microwave.

The furniture could be laid out differently, as there is not much space left with the current layout. The bed facing the main door just didn't seem right as it blocked the way and made it more difficult to enter the room. The room is okay but it needs some redesigning for a better review.

Nothing actually about the property itself, just the fact that it’s in a way close to a big main road and sometimes during the night there where some people drifting their cars! As I said nothing related to the actual property itself!!!

Nice location downtown, easily get to all the stores we needed to restock. Check in instructions were easy and clear even though there were no staff on site.

Incredibly comfortable apartment. Plush furnishings. Best nights sleep in ages - best mattress I’ve ever slept on! Quick stroll into centre of Akureyri. Would love to stay again.

Where do we start? Fantastic hosts, absolutely lovely people to deal with from start to finish. Apartment location is spot on! Just a very short stroll to The HOF, which is where the tours and buses go from. We were so lucky to have a little balcony overlooking the valley - which was unexpected and lovely! Totally spotless, super comfortable with everything you could possibly need. Bed was amazing, and the whole apartment was warm and toasty. Very-very highly recommended… I’d go back tomorrow if I could!

There was some issue with room booking, our room was already occupied... we walked into our room to find two (very nice) strangers drinking wine. Not ideal, for us and for them. However, the issue was solved promptly, and in less than 30 minutes, we were in another room. From conversing with the couple in our room, it sounds like there is one code that opens all doors (maybe the one used by the cleaners). It's not ideal and not the safest. If my partner and I had bad intentions, we could have walked into other flats. Hopefully, it will be just a misunderstanding, and if not, they will fix the issue.

We booked this place last minute because of bad weather and they were very accomodating, they even managed to let us check in early despite the room being occupied the night before . TV and internet worked great, kitchen was simple but it worked. Very close to the city center, easy parking, walking distance from everything in Akureyri (including restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets...) Nice little balcony. It felt good to stay here, we couldn't have found a better place to stay at during a storm.

It wasn't sound proof at all. We could hear all the neighbours. The kitchen could have been a bit bigger, we were only 2 persons so it worked but the cooking plates were very hard to use with more than one small pan. The shower drain was a bit slow if you like a little bit of pressure.

Modern yet cosy. Plenty of space. Close to town centre. Mega clean. Balcony.

Communication with admin person could be better. Told we couldn't access flat until 4pm and there was no budging on that although it was Xmas eve and airport shut at 3 and hard to find out if any cafes etc would be open for us to go wait. We just went there anyway at 3pm and it was ready. Didn't need the stress in advance. Also asked for just some milk in case no shop but they said no. A little more leeway would be nice. Instructions for hob shd be provided plus a lamp in sitting room.

It was so nice to have a bigger room with a private bathroom and kitchenette. The beds were on the firmer side, which was great for us. The room was a little hot when we arrived, so pull the shades close and open the window when you get there. We forgot to pull down the shade on the door, so we had an early morning. Also, since it's really close to downtown Akureyri, there is night noise. I recommend wearing your earplugs if you are noise sensitive.

The room was hot when we arrived. We left the door open for a while and that cooled it down. A little street noise, but ear plugs would have fixed that.

Stayed here three nights with three relatives. Good location in town that is far enough away from the noise that can happen in the city centre, but close enough for it to be a 10 minute walk away. Kitchenette was nice to have to prepare simple foods. Grocery stores are nearby that are within walking distance. Large blackout curtains helped keep the unit dark even with 5am daylight. Smart TV available in the room. Parking is easy on the street.

My companions mentioned that the beds were too soft, though I slept on the couch and that seemed firm enough. No outlets by the head of the bed. Shower doors didn't quite close all the way, though if the shower head was angled correctly, this was not an issue. Water has the sulphur smell of a volcanic area, but that's typical. We could hear the people in the unit above talk inaudibly. The apartment is located around some one-way streets, so it is helpful to have GPS guide you through.
