Overall, my stay at the hotel was good, but there were a few areas that could be improved. The staff was friendly but not particularly attentive or proactive, which left room for better customer service. While the facilities were decent, they lacked some of the modern touches or maintenance that would elevate the experience. Cleanliness was satisfactory, but there were minor details that could be better attended to for a truly spotless experience. The comfort of the room met my expectations, though it wasn’t outstanding. In terms of value, I felt the pricing could be more competitive for what was offered. Lastly, the location is convenient, but it doesn’t stand out as exceptional compared to other options.

I had to wait in front of the lobby for quite a while with a small baby because the door code didn’t work. It took some time for someone to answer the phone, and when they finally did, I had to repeat my name, phone number, and other information multiple times to the same person. It felt quite inefficient and frustrating, so this is definitely an area that could be improved.

Room was great. The firepit and outdoor fireplace was very nice. Price was great.

No staff at all. The "self check-in" didn't work at first and there is literally no one to talk to. The hotel emergency phone number led to a circular computer menu. They said they wouldn't check the message until the next morning. The computer also insisted I needed to talk to Booking.com, who insisted I needed to talk to the hotel. Luckily I was able to figure a work around for the test system.

The property is basically a motel, but with nice touches, and rustic theme. Furnishings sparse, but large room, comfy bed, and small fridge in room. Gas woodstove in room that we didn't use (summer visit!). The common room was nicely furnished with comfy couches, etc., Keurig machine, drinks in fridge. The continental breakfast was sparse, but fine for us. The juices and milk were communal style in a refridgerator. There is no management on site, so all communication, door codes, etc., are sent via text. We had no problems with that, and found everything we needed in the room or the common area. It was nice that the common area is accessible 24/7 via door code.

Everything was fine, but guests should be aware there is no onsite management, and the continental breakfast is a bit sparse with communal-style juice and milk. Pay attention to the texts coming from the hosts - this worked fine for us.

The history of the building is fascinating, we adored the old school popcorn maker! The parking spaces right in the front were super convenient. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. A great location, walking distance to restaurants. a grocery store (Tops), and a Walgreens!

The fire alarm went off a couple of times unprompted, we had to disconnect from the power source in the ceiling, it had batteries so not a big deal. The mini fridge vibrates heavy enough when the motor cuts on/off, to rattle the plate that the coffee mugs sit on so we moved it to a different spot, again no big deal. Being a light sleeper, these minor inconveniences were just that- minor!

Very clean hotel with LOVELY and friendly staff, and really appreciated the self check-in option since we weren't sure of our arrival time. Loved our room with gas stove and Adirondack rocking chairs, especially with single digit temps outside. Great toiletries and appreciated Keurig coffee maker in room. The"family room" area was well-stocked with snacks, fruit, etc.and you can self-replenish room supplies, which is very convenient. Close drive (15 min) to cross country ski center and even closer to downhill Gore mountain. And the area does a GREAT job plowing the roads!

Not a criticism of lodging, but be aware that there are very limited eating options nearby if you stay Mon-Wed. Fortunately, there's a nice breakfast spot (Marsha's) right next door and Topps grocery store across the street (where we purchased readymade food). All other restaurants in town were closed till later in the week or closed due to lack of staff. Next time (and we hope to return!), we'll come later in the week!

The hotel is beautifully decorated with all the tech amenities that made my son happy! It was clean and very comfortable. I found myself walking around the property barefoot like at my home. It's centrally located to everything we planned during our stay. The staff go above and beyond and despite it being "contactless" they were receptive to our needs and available in the great room during much of our stay. There's a toaster, microwave, drip coffee maker, basic snacks and more in the Great Room as well.

Less about the hotel and more about the unexpected in the area. We arrived Monday night to realize all the local eateries are breakfast/lunch or closed on Monday nights. We grabbed stuff at the grocery store a few doors down (Tops) which is the most expensive grocery store I've ever been to anywhere. I wish I had planned that part better.

This was our second time to stay at The Alpine Lodge. We chose it again because of the location and the comfort. We love the king-size bed room with the fireplace!

The hot water is way too hot. It can scald you if you are not careful. We recommend saving some energy and turning it down to a reasonable temperature-- 125, for instance.

Me and my son loved loved loved the Lodge overall! The staff was super friendly, well kept grounds -thank you Ethan for keeping the parking lot and walkways snow free- perfect location and room was comfortable and homey. The quality of the supplied toiletries and bath towels were a definite delight being so luxurious!!

Wish there was a dishwasher! And a different kind of shower curtain that isn’t so lightweight.

I’m up early so it was to be able to go a get coffee and breakfast bar- I was able to sit out front and read while everyone was still sleeping. Too bad it was raining/cold because we would have loved to sit outside nd enjoy the fire out. Hoping to return again ☺️

NO inside rug to help with snow on boots. Made floor slippery. No shovel to remove wind blown snow. No on-site staff or number to contact staff .
