Location is GREAT Very close to the village of Lake George as well as all the outlet stores. There is a major grocery store close by as well. The property has a beautiful brook. Outdoor pool is nice (although a little chilly at first). They do not offer breakfast but there is a community kitchen available as well as outside grills and picnic tables. They have a little play area for the little ones. There is an awesome pizza place right across the street as well. We come to Lake George every summer for a family reunion and have been staying at the Brookside for more than 15 years. If you're not looking for fancy, but looking for a nice peaceful relaxing place Brookside is the place to stay!!

Truthfully, I have stayed at the Brookside for years and I am never disappointed!

I liked that the room was recently renovated. It had a new floor, new doors, new paint on the walls. The a/c and heat both worked great. The beds were comfortable. It also had a brand new deck in the back looking out on the Brook. That was very nice.

There was no coat rack or even coat hooks to hang up anything. That didn't thrill me. There was no shampoo in the and very cheesy little soap bars. The towels were terrible. I ended up going to Walmart and buying towels, hand soap and shampoo. Also, we only had one room key, until my buddy tried to go back into the room without me and the owner finally gave him a second key. Those were my only complaints.

We like the location and the amenities. Staff are courteous and helpful. The place is nicely decorated with fresh potted flowers throughout. The stream that runs through it is calming and relaxing. Ample parking spaces. The pool, though modest, is refreshing.

Upon checkout, I let management know about a few items needing attention. The mattress worn, mini fridge did not work well, not cold enough to store milk, in fact it did not feel cold at all. No place to eat a meal in the room. Small table was available, however, tv and cable box were on it. We recommended a bistro table with chairs be placed on the small open porch to have a place to sit, eat, and perhaps use the table for our laptops. Management was appreciative of our feedback and told us they, the relatively new owners, were in the process of updating some of the items mentioned here, and a few others. Otherwise, all else was fine. We will return and encourage friends and family to reserve rooms there too!

The cabin/room we had was very clean with a refrigerator in room & although they didn’t have a microwave in room they did offer a community kitchen to be shared by all guests if we chose to use. They did offer grills outside if we chose to cook. I like the room we chose because had a back deck with chairs to listen to the Brook and enjoy morning coffee. Stage at front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. My companion forgot her blow dryer and although not one in room she was able to call front desk and borrow one. The room had the basics no frills and extras but was very clean and no issues whatsoever. I would recommend and use this place again because can’t beat the price so can spend more of your dollars on your entertainment/adventures.

The only downfall I saw at the time we were there for our weekend ( September 13-15) it was in mid to upper 80’s and would have liked the pool outside to still be filled to use.

We booked a girls trip and the recent reviews had us worried. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. We stayed in cabin 24 and it appeared small but actually had plenty of room. Think cabin in the woods! It was clean yes there were bugs (ants, misquote's) but your literally in the woods! Bring bug spray if your going to enjoy the fire pit,swings or the chairs by the brook! Other reviews mention bed bugs but we checked every nook and found nothing and no signs of any! The pool is the perfect size and heated! The cabin had a fridge and coffee pot but they also have a fully stocked (pots,pans, full size fridge microwave and much more) shared kitchen! Room service provides everything you need daily unless you request them not to! There's no extras like shampoo or other things you normally get in a hotel so bring your own! Everything from the staff to the quality of the room was amazing! The trolly stops right in the driveway so no need to drive and it's only $1. I highly recommend this place if your looking for a great place to stay that gives you a little more outdoor options! Although it was a girls trip we did walk around and they have a play area for kids and a great little authentic Italian restaurant across the street!! Will definitely be back!!

Only downside was the beds were hard!

Comfortable, clean and friendly staff. It’s an older motel but the price was right. Pool and grounds lovely. And not to forget, the shuttle stops right at the motel and it’s only a $1 pp. to take you into the village, Bolton Landing, or Glens Falls. So convenient however you can walk into town which takes about 15 minutes. Also Number 1 pizza is right across the street 😋

The cabin we stayed in was cozy and comfortable; nothing fancy, but perfectly fine, and very clean. We appreciated the extra coffee packets. We liked the feeling of being in the woods near the brook, though the main street was a short distance away. The person in the office was very friendly and accommodating.

The table and railings of the porch need to be cleaned! Still, not a deal-breaker. We enjoyed our coffee sitting out there in the morning.

Cute and quiet! Just outside of town. Cabins are perfect for a couples getaway. They keep making improvements every year. Love the brook! Friendly owners and staff. Small pool good for a dip if there aren't too many kids jumping in, but it gets crowded quickly. Picnic tables, BBQ grills, and shared kitchen space available on site.

Love this place. But a bigger pool would be AWESOME. I can say that about any pool though.

I love the location. It’s far enough away to be peaceful but close enough to walk if you are up for a nice walk on a beautiful day. The staff is always friendly. It is probably the cleanest motel I’ve ever stayed in. I book here every year I stay in lake George and most of the time you need to book well in advance. High recommend

The location was great and really pretty. We loved the grills available and outside seating areas. We loved the deck to watch the creek. The pool was clean and very clear water.

We had some loud neighbors the first night but they left after our first night and then it was quiet and enjoyable. The location a little farther up from the city provides not as much commotion and more quiet. We did not like the housekeeping service coming into our room while we were gone and not asking. We would prefer being asked about housekeeping expectations when you check in.
