Location is a big advantage. Can park the car and walk to most attractions and restaurants. We liked resting on the lake and using the water amenities. The property still has a rustic feel and many service members made us feel important, as if they wanted us back - in particular: the general service/maintenance manager was walking the property all day with a smile and front desk was extremely friendly. The property is undergoing a 3-year renovation, which is all to visible with some service members, cleaning never came to our room, and electronics were not working at the bar. Being an EV friendly facility (4 working charging stations) is a big plus - plug it in and forget about it. We would come back.

We loved having lake access, especially having young kids. No need to pack up a bunch of stuff and worry about forgetting anything or the hassle of finding a parking space. The room was clean and spacious for our family of 5. The view from our balcony was beautiful. There was an outdoor pool too which was great if the lake water was too cold or too choppy. There are 2 restaurants on site which is super convenient. The proximity to downtown gave us the option to walk or take the car.

Parking can be a little tight the closer your room is to the lake but other that that, I can’t think of anything.

The staff was easy to work with and the amenities were great. We will definitely be back.

It was great that the kayaks and paddle boards are there to use but they sit unused often because of their policy of when they can be taken out. If I walk up at 3:20, tell me I have to be back by 4:05. Don't tell me I have to wait until 4:15 to take them out as they sit on the sand unused. This would be my only minor complaint.

The location was excellent. Right on the lake. Private beach and heated outdoor pool were great amenities. Lots of outdoor spaces to hang around and take in the view. They had a restaurant on site for brunch which was nice, did not need to leave the property.

The room itself was outdated. Cosmetic nitpicking but worth mentioning: our doorframe had a slight gap which was concerning and led us questioning if the door was actually shutting completely. The only sink in the room was clogged. The TV in the room had terrible picture quality due to a dark screen. There was no way to fix it even with a remote control.

The rooms were updated and nice and clean. We loved the location and the fact that the water sports were included was a major plus. The playground was great, especially being on the beach level so the kids could run back-and-forth to play without having to move all of our stuff from the beach.

I wish they had fire pits to make s’mores at night like the other hotels nearby offer. Would love if there was speakers playing music by the pool.

The room was clean and comfortable. Our car was also parked near our room. My kids enjoyed the pool even though weather wasn’t great and it was a cold day. The pool was great for them and lots of towels.

The access to pool from where we were was a bit out the way but that’s nothing. Everything was fine. I booked day of and am grateful because the room was surprisingly clean and comfortable! Love the bathroom! Check in staff is very helpful and good. Unfortunately we only stayed one night. Really appreciate the complimentary canoe rental on the lake. You guys are amazing.

Facilities were immaculate, room as well as the parking lot to the beach. Perfect location. Plenty of things to do. Walking distance to all. House keeping was efficient and friendly. Really loved this place, our first trip here.

Had to call front desk twice for the smoke alarm. Kept us up for 2 nights. First time was to change battery, then had to replace the entire unit. Also, the noisy neighbors. Talking loudly, kids screaming, slamming doors. Should try to enforce quiet time. Perhaps between 11pm -7 am? Need more parking.

Liked the Cabana Bar restaurant, very convenient and had great drinks (Miami Vice was my favorite). Loved the water sports available on premises, and close proximity to village.

We never got to eat at the Hamilton because it was closed for various reasons during our stay. The parking situation could be better, the off site parking lot was so far away with no means of getting back to the resort. A second car should be allowed for 2-bedroom units, can’t keep shuttling people back and forth when the lot is 1.9 miles away.

Great location and beach area. Good parking. Clean, comfortable, quiet room. Kayaks available to guests for free. Picnic area.

Some advertised perks were apparently no longer available. Room binders should be updated as discounts advertised there no longer exist. Not a deal breaker, but it's misleading. Continental breakfast offered is not included ... It's an additional charge.

when I checked in they couldn't find reservation, ( new person on ) the mgr looked she coudn't find it either, told me to step aside while they handled other guests as she had to look in the back. Retook my info address, phone number etc in front of other guests( when she had time to finally help me) I didn't appreciate giving this info out, and then she find my reservation when she looked in the pile again. Did not like being treated like this. so non professional.
