The location and the layout. The view was of the mountains however that spectacular view of the lake I was able to have at breakfast every morning. That was a nice way to start my day. The staff at breakfast, the cleaning lady and the girls at the check in desk where all so nice. I had hoped for a room in the main building, as I had one another time when I stayed there, however there was a wedding (funny enough the same last name but not related) in the rooms at the main hotel.

It took me awhile to get used to the room. I was a little nervous being alone for the first time in a long time. So I heard everything and had to get use to the door sounding like some was trying to get in but by Friday night I was ok with that. I know no one was trying to get in. It was the wind or the vibrations from other doors closing in my area.

Location, Staff, Room Amenities I’ve been visiting Lake George for 50 years and finally stayed at the Fort William Henry Hotel and WoW, it did not disappoint!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From the start, when Marissa had to modify my reservation, to Andrew, checking me in on 11/24 and upgrading my room 🤩, and Colleen in housekeeping, ALL took exceptional care of my needs and concerns during my stay!! 👏🙌 I will be back!! 💯 The location of this hotel cannot be beat! Spectacular Lakefront views! Walk to everything in the village! I stayed in the two-story, Carriage House building, overlooking the outdoor pool and lake. I was upgraded from a mountain view room to the second floor, lakeside, 2 queen beds room, with newly installed microwave and refrigerator. 😊 The bathroom seemed newly renovated, the shower was spacious and water was very hot. The TV was a good size, it swiveled to all areas of the room, and had many channels to choose from. Coffeemaker & hair dryer in room. I like this type of room location because you’re able to sit outside your room on the balcony and take in the views. I met some nice people sitting on the balcony from NH over the Thanksgiving weekend. Each room has two chairs outside their room door. There is plenty of free parking at this hotel. There are several types of room accommodations, in various buildings of the hotel. The restaurant was open but I didn’t partake, there is no room service. You can place a to-go order & walk over to get it & bring it back to your room. You can also make reservations for up to six people to sit outside at a fire pit, $15+ per person. They have attendants who take care of the fire and you can order drinks and food to eat at the fire pit as well, all while looking at majestic Lake George, the Queen of America’s Lakes! 👑

Nothing… It was marvelous! Andrew made my stay a wonderful experience! I was very happy and felt safe and secure with the personal attention I received, as I am a solo female disabled traveler. ☺️

Loved the area, walkability, the many amenities and the staff treated us very well when they found out that it was our anniversary.

There were a few things in our room that were needing repair, like the toilet paper holder. The room was not sound proofed at all. Could hear people talking both outside of our room and in the next room.

Great location and beautiful views! All of the staff were friendly and helpful. They were Restaurant food and bar were very good too.

We were put in the old section of the hotel despite it not being that busy. Rooms are not that great but they were clean. We would have preferred to have been in the more modern section.

We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant due to lack of vegan choices otherwise our stay was what we were looking for.

Thursday evening parking was a disservice to the paid hotel visitors. We went out for dinner and came back to having to park too far away for what we paid for the room. I feel the hotel should make sure the visitors have a closer parking than the people coming to see the fireworks.

It was super convenient being in the heart of the town where most things to do were in walking distance. The view from the property was exceptional. I also liked being able to have breakfast there with a lake view.

It was a lot of money for our stay for only two nights in our particular room choice. I know that price was pretty much standard almost wherever you went. Originally I wanted to book a lake view room but I couldn’t justify the price being over versus other locations so we changed room types because of it.

Great location in the center of town. Clean rooms. Nice big bed with a couch too! Beautiful hotel. Pool & hot tub were awesome. Breakfast buffet & bar/restaurant were perfect. Great stay. Will stay again. The museum fort was incredible too!

The price during the Americade bike week was a little steep compared to surrounding hotels. Almost $1000 more for the week. But yiu get what you pay for as well. I also feel like if your already staying at the hotel, the breakfast & museum should be complementary.

Booking site, false advertise the room we were going to get. The Fort William Has 3 sections, when we booked we thought we were getting ahead hotel room not a Motel room. They explained to us when we checked in. It’s also very confusing a Mountain View vs lake view.

location was great! staff was wonderful! Grounds were beautiful. Restaurants were reasonably priced and food was fresh and delicious

we were on the mountain view side of the outside hotel, (because we wanted to be) i felt deprived that everyone inside outside and poolside rooms all had comfortable seating (chairs) and outside our rooms there were very uncomfortable weak benches! put some adirondack chairs out there even if you do look at the parking lot, we deserved comfortable seating too!

Most of the staff was great! Rooms are clean and spacious, just need a little updating. Great place just to sit around with friends and family and relax. Location is great! Chrissy, great job on our room!

The bar closes at 10pm on a fri/sat night. Rooms need to be updated. One particular staff member at the front desk needs to be a little more friendly. Ate at the restaraunt for breakfast, a little un organized. Couldn't even give a good tip, you don't do tip on CC, and I didn't have small bills. When asked a server and hostess they couldn't be bothered and said they had no change.
