Doriano and Giovanna are so warmhearted hosts, taking great care of their guests with their amiable Italian soul. It was a great pleasure to stay at their house and garden with interesting historic backgrounds and that they have refurbished with love to the details. The breakfast is prepared with fresh fruit salad, tasty local food and delicious, daily changing cake, homemade by Giovanna. They always have top tips how to travel best around Lago di Como, which is only a few minutes walk away and can be easily explored as the bus and ferry stations are close to the B&B. The combination of the mesmerizing Lago di Como scenery with this gorgeous accommodation with local Italian flair, the thoughtful conversations with the hosts and the invigorating breakfast made our holidays perfect.

The owners have restored the property sympathetically and brought back the original charm but with some modern features. The welcome was warm and friendly, parking is readily available and we were even offered the owners private drive if the parking got full (it never did). We stayed in the apartment which was extremely spacious and very clean. There is no aircon (would not be in keeping with style of property) but a fan can be provided on request. Breakfast - there is sooo much! Local produce, meats and cheese. The local yoghurt is amazing. The home made cakes add a very nice personal touch. Breakfast is normally taken in the garden but if you give notice you can eat indoors - during our stay we had issues with Mosquitoes so preferred inside but do give notice. Speak to the hosts about what you want and where. We felt a little guilty leaving so much food. The location is set back from the lake and town square but within easy walking distance especially to the Ferry and some very good local restaurants that the host recommended. The War Museum is a must - very well done. Overall a great location to explore the North of the lake. We even managed a day trip into the Alps.

The mosquitoes in summer are active morning and evenings. Nothing to do with the apartment or cleanliness just come prepared

The biggest thank you for Giovanna and Doriano for welcoming me and my friend like members of their family. They are the nicest souls, thoughtful and considerate, and this was reflected in our experience. Chilled water provided daily for the room, tea and coffee facilities replenished, spotless facilities in a building full of original charm, and every morning started with a relaxing breakfast with locally sourced and hand made treats. They provided plenty of tips and suggestions for exploring the surrounding areas, and I can honestly say I would be happy returning here anytime. Their private garden is a little oasis and lovely to return to after the bustle of the tourist hot spots.

Nothing I didn't like but more of a tip for future guests that some of the plugs are the older style European pins however there will still a couple of the modern two pins in the room.

A beautiful villa with lots of history which was explained to us. The owners were absolutely lovely, interested in our holiday and were more than happy to give recommendations. The room was clean and comfortable, we had a lovely night's sleep. Modern bathroom as well was a plus! The best for last, the breakfast was absolutely incredible both mornings, lovely jam, bread, cheese and meat spread, and tea, coffee, fresh fruit juice, fresh yoghurt and homemade cakes. Couldn't have picked a better place to stay, simply exceptional. We'd love to come back.

We stayed at a charming villa—and it was an absolute delight! The hosts were incredibly kind—they waited attentively for us even at a late check‑in, which immediately created a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The villa’s interior is beautifully styled and cozy, with everything impeccably clean and cared for down to the smallest detail. Breakfasts were a special treat: each morning we enjoyed delicious homemade pastries and a variety of tasty dishes—true inspiration for starting the day. I especially recommend this villa to anyone who values hospitality, comfort, and pristine cleanliness. If you’re looking for a place to stay where you can relax, enjoy tranquillity, and savor fresh homemade cuisine—this is exactly the place! Thank you to the hosts for such attention and atmosphere—we will definitely return and recommend it to everyone seeking a truly restful getaway.

It's an authentic place with wonderful people running it. It's family-owned, and the owners show special care and attention to detail for each guest. The building was unique, and the garden was comfortable for breakfast on a warm morning. The owners are basically local experts available to answer any questions about the region. We enjoyed it very much and could not recommend it more!

Nothing at all, except the fact that you need to adjust your expectations that you are staying in a very old building with authentic interiors (doors, windows, terracotta stones on the floor, closets, etc.)with some modern touches (bathroom, electricity, lights, TV, etc.). I think this is a bonus to experience the real house vibe of this region. However, it is still something people coming here should know and accept beforehand, to not spoil their expectations otherwise it would be different.

This renovated property is absolutely stunning! The owners have taken such care with the renovation to make the property as authentic to the time as possible. All rooms have original antique furnitures, and the ceilings are adorn with 19th century frescos, we even had a special 18th century fresco of Dongo on our wall that was uncovered during the renovation. The hosts are so lovely and attentive, and very helpful with any queries you may have and have plenty of recommendations! Breakfast is lovely with a selection of locally supplied foods. The B&B is very close to some lovely restaurants (Bumbarin was a recommendation for the hosts and the best meal we had on our trip). The town of Dongo is lovely and quiet, less touristy compared to other towns on Lake Como, but still very close to the town of Menaggio, and Villa del Balbianello which was a highlight of ours.

The owners are amazing people. Extremely friendly and very hospitable. The villa is beautiful. The breakfast is fresh, local and very tasty. The price was a great value. Everything was extremely clean. Very pet friendly. Just an amazing place to stay!

Hardly anything. It is an old villa that has been lovingly restored so some sound from other rooms, the hallway, and outside can be heard. If you are seeking something very modern then this is not the place for you.

Fabulous old villa restored with care to keep original features but provide modern comfortable beds and new bathrooms. The host and hostess are wonderful and provide a wonderful breakfast with fresh fruit, yoghurt, cheeses, meats, home made cakes and bread in the garden. Loved the central location in the old town so we could walk everywhere.

There are only a few parking spaces but there is good public parking right next door for only 5 euros a day so no issues.

One of the best accomodations we have ever experienced. Villa Rosalinda offers stunning architecture and a lovely, spacious garden. The hosts Doriano and Giovanna are doing it with so much passion and make you feel home. They can also give great recommendations on discovering the area. Breakfast is a perfect mix of high quality local products which makes you start the day with healthy food in a relaxing atmosphere. Villa Rosalinda is located in a beautitul narrow alley and a great starting point for activities in the area at Lago di Como. Beach is only 5 minutes walking distance, main place of Dongo only 2 minutes with nice dining opportunities. Free parking spaces are available directly in front of the property.
