Google says 2-star and Booking.com says 3-star, whichever one it is, it’s alot better than some of the 3-star I have been to in the UK. The hotel is well situated for my intended trip. It was clean, the staff were friendly. My room was clean, spacious and stocked very well with towels. The bed was super comfortable. The lamps were well spaced and bright. Desk with chair, fridge, microwave, arm chair. The dining area had halloween decor which was simple and not over-done. There was one kitchen staff that was there everyday and kept the dining area clean. Breakfast was hot and refilled promptly. Bread, bagels, muffins were always filled. Yoghurt, boiled eggs, butter, cream cheese and milk was readily available. Plastic spoons, forks, knives, paper plates, plastic cups were always stocked also. Waffle machine to make your own waffles. Juice machine. Hot water for tea and coffee. There was mini arcade, where the enclosed pool is also situated. There was also a change machine (bills up to $20 in and quarters out). For someone that does not like travelling back with dirty clothes - the washer and dryer was my favourite. I will definitely stay at Country Inn Muskegon again.

I wish they had a variety when it came to the hot breakfast. Eggs and sausages were an everyday thing, I got sick of it by the end of my trip. I stayed there over a week and they only had bacon ONCE. And the bacon was so good. So yeah I was annoyed at that LOL The vent in the bathroom was ridiculously loud every time you put the light on to use the bathroom. The heating is a little outdated but did the job. For a Oct/November trip, I kept my room on the cool setting (that’s just my preference though). Walmart, ROSS, Dollar Tree, Sam’s Club, D&D, restaurants, fast food restaurants all nearby. You can walk to the restaurants and shops but if you can drive.. do get a car!

The pools were great. I liked that they had a indoor and outdoor one. The hot tub was also awesome but seemed like the jets only on one side were working.

There wasn't much I didn't like. We noticed the drain in the shower wasn't draining correctly however we decided not to say anything till we were leaving and on Sunday when I took my last shower it flooded the bathroom. The other times it didn't do that.

Nice sized room, lots of vanity/counter space in bathroom. Larger sized mini frig with a freezer. Room was sound proofed. Good pillows on bed. Towels were really nice and ample supply. Desk Staff was friendly. Lots of Parking.

Beds were a bit uncomfortable, not supportive/firm enough. Fan in bathroom was noisy. Breakfast was minimal but enough if not needing a full meal. Property was clean but needs a little TLC.

Love the location! The breakfast had a good variety. The bed was comfy.

The bathroom wasn’t cleaned very well. There was still hair from previous guests and dust and dirt in the corners. The floor drain cover was leaning against the wall in the shower. I had to put it in place. The shower door wouldn’t stay closed and there were no hooks to hang towels on in the bathroom!

The location. It was very convenient to get around. Everything you need is right there.

No one really pays attention in the pool room. Door was constantly propped open with towels. We were required to wear a wrist band but it seems we were the only ones. No one else in the pool or breakfast area seemed to have a bracelet

The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful, we even had Amazon packages delivered to the hotel and they kept them for us until we checked in. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

The breakfast was a bit lackluster. To start, the waffle batter was slow to come out of the machine, the juice machine wasn't working at all, and the coffee machine made coffee so thick you couldn't drink it. The attendant advised that I mix half coffee with half hot water and that seemed to help.

The price, price kept changing, no receipt either time I have stayed, worried about price scamming, drug trafficking, bed bugs, confusion of ordering on website. Staff was very confused on pricing and promo codes. Will hopefully use a cheaper place to stay next time.

we liked everything else...the breakfast, the indoor pool, the quiet room, the location (right off Highway 31)

the only thing I didn't like was that the curtains didn't close all the way, leaving a one inch gap which let the street light in at night and the sunlight in at dawn

You can add something to breakfast, even just some sliced tomatoes and cucumbers or a bit of greens — nothing expensive, but there are no vegetables to make a sandwich. Otherwise, everything is fine

The one lady that worked during check out was rude as heck, and the had homeless drug addicts coming in and out for breakfast. There was a guy running around with a mask on trying to rob people, he was in the pool area and everything.
