The hosts Liz & Graeme are very warm and welcoming . They have an excellent knowledge of the local area and are very happy to have a social chat with you. Private parking on site is available. Our room was perfect ,very well equipped and comfortable and the garden is beautiful. The full English breakfast was excellent & tasty along with cereals , fresh fruit and yoghurts . Will definitely be staying at Liongate House again and can highly recommend to anyone !

Absolutely nothing not to like about Liongate House !

The location was very convenient and nicely located in the village walking distance to restaurants. The owners have a beautiful home and our room was beautifully decorated and well stocked with anything we needed for a wonderful night stay. We relaxed in the evening on the back patio and enjoyed wonderful conversation with the owners. We could have talked all evening with them. We awoke the next morning and had a delicious breakfast cooked to order. We were pleasantly surprised with how the stay exceeded our expectations. We just booked one night since it was a nice stop on our journey but in the end we both felt that we would have loved to make our stay here longer.

The only thing that could be considered a "negative" would be the bed was too firm for our liking but that is a personal preference and I do not consider that a negative mark on the property.

Stayed one night. Very welcoming hosts, comfy room and a great breakfast. They really had thought of all those little details, such as a bedside clock and a magnifying mirror. And there was even a bidet in the shower room. The full English breakfast included locally produced bacon and sausages. To start, there was the option of a fresh fruit mixture (including strawberries and blueberries) with plain or fruit yogurt, as well as healthy cereals and seeds. Home made jam and marmalade was on offer, as well as home made wholemeal bread. It wasn't quite warm enough to have breakfast outside in their lovely courtyard with its ancient stone wall, but we enjoyed sitting there in the evening near their pond.

The central location was good and free parking is useful. Recommendation for local restaurants was excellent. Accommodation was so good and comfortable. Real milk in the fridge for hot drinks in your room as well as water and beer. Breakfast was superb. Liz can certainly cook and Graeme's breadmaking skills gave us lovely toast. Homemade jams and marmalade topped it off. Lovely people doing a great job. Top of our list of places to stay in that area in the future.

Liz & Graeme are supper friendly, the B&B was a sea change for them and they run it fantastically. Nothing is too much trouble, from tea and cake in the garden and the most delicious breakfast. It was a true pleasure to stay there. Bedroom was supper comfy and everything you needed, inc little touches like "make up, face clothes" fan provided in the mini heat wave the UK was having. It's in a lovely village location, with a really great pub where the food was excellent. We stayed here on the off chance as our plans changed but would definitely stay here again, but for a couple of nights next time. There is also parking

The hosts were friendly and hospitable. It was our daughter birthday and they made a little celebration at breakfast which was lovely. We stayed in the family suite. It has 2 separate rooms which is very convenient when with children as you can enjoy watching tv without disturbing their sleep. Rooms were very clean with all the facilities. The beds were very comfortable. Beautiful garden and we were encouraged to enjoy it. We particularly appreciated the attention to detail in every aspect of our stay. Very good wi-fi connection. Overall a fantastic experience and the best BandB we ever stayed in. We will definitely go back!

Nothing, all was very good.

Wonderfully welcoming hosts able to share good knowledge of the local area. A warm and comfortable bedroom with all creature comforts; real attention to detail (fresh milk and complimentary beers and soft drinks in the guests fridge) and spotlessly clean. Breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choice. Although Ilchester is a small town with limited facilities we took our hosts advice and ate at very good Italian restaurant minutes walk away. Although just off the main road we heard no traffic noise and slept soundly. Thank you Liz and Graeme.

Nothing to dislike

Sadly we were only with there for one night, it is very comfortable, clean and everything you'd hope for with the added bonus of an amazing breakfast in the beautiful garden. All the bread, jam, marmalade, granola etc are home made and the other produce, bacon, sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms are locally sourced from growers and producers. We could not have been made more welcome or comfortable and really enjoyed our stay.

We have stayed at many locations during the last two years. Liongate House has been the best by a country mile. The communication from the moment we booked to the minute we left was excellent. Liz and Graeme made us feel very welcome after our long journey and we were welcomed with a chocolate treat. Clean, safe and lovely accommodation. We will definitely go out of our way to book this location again in the future .. a real gem in a beautiful Somerset village. thank you x

A wonderful, warm welcome from Liz and Graeme, who couldn't do enough for us. The room was immaculate, the welcome drinks and homemade brownies were a wonderful surprise. It was a perfect place to stop over both on our way to and from Cornwall. Liz and Graeme are full of knowledge about the area (and indeed both about where we travelled from, and our final destination!), which was lovely. Finally, the breakfast was amazing - fresh and delicious.
