We found the hotel and the hospitality extremely good

The selection and choice of food. The owner has decided that his hotel should specialise in Mexican food with very limited option for anything else. We both enjoy spices and hot food having traveled widely. However, probably like most guests staying over night we were in transit by car with s long way to travel the following day. We therefore, decided not to have a hot spicy meal the night before. The meal provided while satisfactory did not warrant the price charged. We did not stop for breakfast.

Comfortable spacious room and bathroom. Very tasty breakfast with fresh fruit and yoghurts, cereals and cooked breakfast. Friendly, welcoming staff. Easy parking

The corridor light outside our room was very bright and on all night ( we were in ground-floor room). Light came in under and to sides of door. I found it difficult to sleep for this reason. ( We had previously stayed in an upstairs room and don't remember this being a problem.). It was a shame as otherwise this was a lovely place to stay.

Was sitting on grass at the rear looking at a beautiful starry sky but there were two powerful spotlights in the car park that kind of ruined the star gazing Possibly turn off those lights from 11pm to midnight so people who like looking at the Stars could have a better view Could be a good way of getting Star Groups to Book Like a Star Viewing Weekend

It was comfortable, clean and welcoming. The breakfast was good but a little more flexibility with charging would have been nice. My wife only has a light breakfast and the set charge was rather high for what she wanted. A small discount was given but it we felt it was still to high. A personal thing for us.

They have a Mexican restaurant with no other choices so if you don't like Mexican then you will have to seek elsewhere for an evening meal. A salad was available for my wife but that was all.

Lovely setting even though off a main road. Set up for weddings. Very well maintained both inside and out. Old buildings but nicely updated . Good shower and bathroom although in an old building. Very characterful. Staff extremely nice and friendly without overdoing it. Room Very warm, bed Very comfy, extremely clean.

Difficult to turn onto main road at times because of traffic , perhaps widen entrance or cut back plants etc so we can see .

Hot water, a shower, and a comfortable bed. Great location for a stop on the way to West Cornwall. Nice people, ample parking. Good size room. Nice lounge and bar area.

The lights outside the window came on at 4am, which were large strung decoration bulbs. Curtains were very hard to close. Privacy was an issue as it was a low building, and the road outside was close.

Friendly staff who couldn't but help for anything we wanted. Quickly dealt with check in, queried whether we wanted dinner (we had other arrangements), and got us our room key. Knowledgable about the drinks available at the bar for a nightcap.

Slight problem with our shower (the door had come off the runner), but everything else was super.

Staff were all excellent and very helpful. Hotel was lovely, as was the cat we met in the grounds. Views to the front and rear of the property were very pretty. Food was generally nice; if you like fish, try the Goan curry. Bed very comfortable. Garden and courtyard beautiful.

Bath tap broken. Shame the hotel didn't have more customers as it deserves to have more guests. Great for us, though!

Lovely 15th century Manor House now a hotel. Clean and comfortable room. Mexican food delicious and breakfast very good. Great terrace with views overlooking the countryside and the wisteria growing in the courtyard, beautiful. Staff all very friendly and welcoming.

Nothing not to like

The location was perfect, easy to find, easy parking. The bed was very comfortable and the room had everything in it that I was expecting. Super shower!

The room was very small and the double bed up against the wall made it difficult for one of us (esp. if you are elderly) to get in and out of bed.
