Food was good, and breakfast generous. Room was a decent size and bed was comfortable. Plenty of easy parking

Pillows were all rather thin and hard. My room was over the bar so noisy until closing time, also overlooked the road, though traffic was not plentiful. Shower in the bathroom badly needed mould removed from tiles - very unsightly. My welcome message from the property said check in was from 3, but when I arrived at 3.30 it was locked up. As instructed I rang the bell at the back and was met by a member of staff/manager who told me I was lucky to find him there as check in was normally from 5 pm. He was not very welcoming.

We were greeted by very friendly staff and shown to our rooms straight away. The rooms were very clean although the showers could do with a re-grout and could be more powerful but actually it was sufficient enough. We booked a meal in the pub that night and the food was good honest pub food, both my husband and I enjoyed the food immensely. We then with the rest of our party then made a night of it in the pub, which we all felt extremely welcomed and nothing was too much trouble. We slept extremely well and the bed was soo comfy. The next morning we went for breakfast which was really good, cereal, orange juice, unlimited tea and coffee and a full breakfast. We ate like kings, which was good as we had booked for a wedding! That evening we returned and again welcomed back and then again slept like a baby to then be greeted by another lovely breakfast spread in the morning again. Superb value for money and would highly recommend!

The bathrooms could do with updating, especially the showers, which were quite poor (the pressure was not very powerful and it trickled out rather than pumping out) and the tiling was black in some areas.

Breakfasts were amazing with freshly prepared coffee, along with orange juice, toast, preserves, cereals and the traditional full English . Food was fantastic and home made with a good choice of dishes and most generous portions and excellent value and the desserts were to die for. Rooms were comfortable and well equipped, it was very hot during our stay, but a small fan was provided in our room which was a nice thought. Will definitely come back again when visiting the area. Ample parking. All in all a very enjoyable stay.

Nothing of note.

All good.. my arrival was late in the evening and I had no problem checking into the room quickly. Well appointed room was a tad noisy for a short while ( to be expected given the room above the bar ) but soon quietened down after closing time. All room facilities in GWO and I slept well. Excellent greeting in the morning from staff and breakfast was very good and tasty though had to wolf it down as needed to leave quite quickly ( will allow more time to enjoy it next time ). Settling accounts was straightforward and allowed me to get on my way as quickly as possible .

All went extremely well. However just a personal thing I am a ' big unit' of a man and I did find the shower area a bit restrictive for my size .. though was adequate for a quick shower.

We loved the location. The staff were very friendly and obliging. They even offered to make us a sandwich as we arrived at 8.30p.m when the restaurant had officially stopped serving food. The breakfast was lovely and there was plenty of it!The room was nicely decorated too.

Really we couldn't fault the place. If anything we found the mattress wasn't overly comfortable. However this did stop us having a good night's sleep. We thought that the accommodation was excellent value for money and hope to stay again when we travel down to Cornwall.

Room was just right for our needs

There was a mix-up regarding payment. When the proprietor did not request payment both on check-in and at check-out, I thought that the payment had been previously taken via Booking.com. On this occasion it had not, however, this was later resolved following a call from the proprietor to notify me of the mistake. To save the confusion, it may be prudent for the staff to have better check-in arrangements when clients book through booking.com

This was a marvellous stay! I am absolutely unable to fault them! Marvellous location, lovely quiet village. The pub itself is old and beautiful. The facilities are spot on, everything is clean. The beds are great. And as for the food - out of this world! We took our evening meal there on the day of arrival and the main course was very good. Then we came to the dessert - this was home made and so good that we all wished that we had room for a second helping. I would particularly recommend the bread and butter pudding with mincemeat - I wish that I could have sneaked a peek at the recipe! We'll just have to go back there the next time that we are in the U.K.! In other words, highly recommended and we have already marked it on our list of the best places to stay!

There was nothing not to like, we loved it all.

This is a lovely family run hotel/pub in Wadebridge a village outside of Chard. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and we had a fabulous full English breakfast the first morning and two lovely meals in the evenings. The owners and staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. For us it was a quiet base to explore the local countryside with the bonus of a pint of ale to relax with at the end of the day without having to worry about driving.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Carrie and Jason were the perfect hosts, as were all their team. We had our dog with us and they couldn't have made us all feel more welcome. They set us a place aside for our evening meal and breakfast so our dog could stay with us at mealtimes and it was so lovely to have a chat with them both. Especially about the resident ghosts!...the room was fantastic too...we can't wait to visit again!

This pub and inn is run by very kind and friendly hosts and staff. The pub serves delicious traditional British food in a very nice atmosphere, and breakfast was lovely and ample. Our room was very clean and included all the facilities, including tea & coffee (and biscuits ;)) and all the necessary toiletries. Definitely great value for money.
