We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grey hound inn, we ate dinner there every evening and enjoyed every meal. The Deluxe rooms were beautiful, although could get noisy late at night and early mornings with deliveries as the car park was directly outside our room. This however didn’t ruin our stay and I would definitely recommend here for anyone staying in the area. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs, which made our stay pleasant. There were plenty of choice on the menu and every meal we have was delicious, so credit to the chefs.
There was nothing we really didn’t like about our stay,.

Such a beautiful inn with beautifully appointed rooms. We were tired from travelling so didn't venture into the pub for dinner but did enjoy a couple of drinks in the courtyard in the afternoon. The room was quiet during the evening while we rested. We were welcomed in to the dining area in the morning for a wonderful breakfast which was included. We were able to choose individual items to make up a hot breakfast for our 4 year old without any problem. Staff were so lovely and accommodating. Inside the inn itself is just so beautiful. We're from Australia and it is such a treat to stay in such a beautiful building.

Well run pub, with very efficient welcoming staff. Good range of food at both breakfast and dinner. Having recently had a hip replacement I was delighted at the "easy access" toilets in the pub - and what a great name. Room very comfortable - loved the mattress. We stayed in the Pitch room in the former skittles alley which was only up 4 or 5 steps. We'd love to go back if we need somewhere to stay on the way to the west country.
Not really, but if picky, I'd like instructions on how to use the shower - it had two different shower heads, plus a shelf or the equivalent to put toiletries on.

Spacious and well appointed room in a lovely atmospheric property close to the Taunton Racecourse we were attending.. Attentive, smiley and helpful Manager and staff. Well cooked and well presented food from a varied and good value menu. Well kept Badger Ales and good choice of wines and spirits. Magnificent full English breakfast with all the right accompaniments. Can't praise it too much in case it is fully booked the next time we want to stay!
Small criticism: 5 of us put on a small table for breakfast. Elbows in each others plates! although Staff did try to help by regularly clearing dishes etc. All unnecessary when plenty of larger tables close by.

Our stay was the best. Staff were super friendly, helpful, and cheerful! Nothing seemed too much trouble. Our room was large, clean, and super comfortable. Very comfortable bed. A couple of comfy armchairs by the tea/coffee facilities. My children were very excited to find complimentary chocolate wafer biscuits and water in the fridge - a great touch! The bathroom was clean. Lovely shower with a wall attachment and ceiling rose. Plus, large, soft, bath sheets! There was plenty of choice for breakfast. Continental or cooked, the choice was yours! We also ate dinner at the pub. Once we made to booking The Greyhound emailed to see if we wanted to book for dinner, which i liked. The food was delicious. The childrens portions were a very good size! Plenty even for older children. The pub was busy, but you couldn't hear a thing in our room. A beautiful, peaceful stay! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone! Top marks from both my children & I!
Absolutely nothing!!!

The Greyhound inn is your perfect countryside pub and hotel located just outside Taunton. The room is spacious and clean and the facilities are well maintained. The pub downstairs is a proper English country pub and serves delicious home made food made from high quality ingredients and cooked to high standards and served in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. All the staff was very welcoming and had attention to details. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back !
Nothing.

A beautiful pub that has been sympathetically renovated. Our room was really spacious (as was the bathroom - we had a bath and overhead shower). The breakfast was just what we needed/wanted having spent the previous evening at a wedding - a selection of cereals and juices plus the option to order a hot dish from the menu together with freshly made coffee and tea. The staff were great.
The pub is a located about 10 minutes south of Taunton, which we knew when we booked. There are no other pubs or restaurants within walking distance so - depending on your reason for staying - you may need a car. We were also a little disappointed that the pub wanted £20 for us to check in early (midday) and, instead, drove back from the wedding we were at in order to check-in mid-afternoon (on the basis that we knew it would be too late for us to check-in post-wedding).

Comfortable country pub/hotel with 7 rooms serving excellent evening meals and superb individually cooked breakfast (cold options available). One real ale on pump. plenty of free parking available for our 5 night stay while attending Cricket festival.
Room 4 above kitchen subject to some fan noise. Secondary glazing rendered this acceptable.

The room was exceptional for a country pub. The Inn is a fascinating warren of sitting and dining areas, abuzz with chatter and good humour. The food menu is extensive and simple, well cooked, presented and swiftly served. The staff are all friendly and helpful.
Only one tiny whinge: the over-bath shower in Room 4 was only just warm enough. Reported to landlord who did his best.

The room we had the first night was very cold as the structure of o get cold and although the radiator was hot it couldn't warm the room that first night. Fortunately the management was able to upgrade us to a room in the main building which was fine. Breakfast staff were very friendly, chatty and helpful. A great asset to the Greyhound pub.
The first room, Lane I think, was very cold but the room otherwise was fine.
