Just had a fantastic stay in tauton holiday inn the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you it has a fitness club connected to the hotel which you were free to use with a swimming pool which was never busy when we went. food and drinks in the hotel were very reasonably priced and of a very good standard ideally located for local attractions being right near the m5 most places are 30/ 40 min drive away would highly recommend staying here

Nothing really bit noisy from the m5 if your on that side but that was only really because it was warm and we had the windows open and the air con was playing up but we didn't report it as it didn't really bother us

The staff changed my accommodation to a ground floor room on arrival due to me having surgery and they extended check out time for free for me. The staff were ‘mainly’ all polite and helpful and the room was a decent size and clean. We didn’t eat from here but the food when walking through reception always smelled yummy.

It’s a very lively hotel, people coming and going at all hours and you can hear doors closing all the time which is quite loud. The staff on reception one of the nights I stayed were not polite and actually made me feel really uncomfortable. Like I was inconsiderate about the fact they just wanted to stand and chat to each other. The bed was quite small and forced my partner to sleep on the sofa bed. The bathroom needs attention. There’s silicone missing round the edges and the bath has wear and tear marks which makes it look and feel unclean. The price for 2 nights was very expensive and I feel overpriced. The spa pool was closed and was the main reason I booked the hotel the night before surgery as couldn’t use it the next day.

The customer service at this particular holiday inn is always great, my favourite thing has to be the breakfasts as they out do even other holiday inn with their dietary requirements, as someone on a vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free diet they go the extra mile, and felt totally safe eating the food. It's the little extras this hotel does that are sweet, even down to the doggy corner (and I don't own a dog).

The sofa bed is possibly getting near needing replacing, the main dislike was that the plug socket on the window side of the bed doesn't work at all. (Room 40) if someone wants to see if it can be fixed, I forgot to tell reception on the way out. However, there were plenty of other sockets to use.

We were a family of 8 with 4 generations and we were all catered for. Great staff all happy friendly and really approachable, Children were free to stay and ours were all under 5 so that was most helpful and ate free too amazing.. Food was really good generous portions and delicious. Play area for the children is a great touch and the pool especially after being stuck in a car for hours. Rooms were basic but clean and fresh. Location brilliant literally off the M5 so linked to everywhere. Very happy would come again.

There was nothing not to like.

Our stay was very comfortable the room was very nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good lots of variety, but some of the food could have been a bit hotter. The swimming pool was a bonus as we were able to use it and the sauna was lovely as well. All in all we would definitely use this hotel again if we are passing on a long journey or visiting surrounding areas.

The only criticism I would have is the cooked breakfast on the buffet could have been a bit hotter and some of the food (sausages) were over cooked and a bit dry.

The reception was very warm and helpful, despite it being a busy Saturday night. The room was very clean and comfortable. The TV had access to Netflix, Disney+ and Prime. I slept very well and enjoyed the breakfast the next morning - good decaff coffee and plenty of tasty options in terms of food. I didn't use the fitness facilities but it was good to know they were available.

At first, I couldn't find a parking space, but I just needed to move further into the car park and all was well. It was bigger than it first appeared!

Breakfast not quite as good as previous stays, no ham as an option and cheese a bit sweaty even at 7.40 am Rest of the breakfast great with a good choice and range Love the fact we can use the pool at this holiday Inn so this is always a plus for us as a family

Bathroom could have done with a bit of maintenance; just a minor thing as ground floor. We have stayed in the upper floor rooms which look like they have been more recently refurbished. Unfortunately we got woken by the fire alarm as did my son so it was difficult to get him back to sleep again

This hotel provided a truly wonderful experience! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the festive Christmas decorations and the grand entrance. My room, and the hotel in general, was impeccably clean, which always makes for a more comfortable stay. The staff were consistently helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to assist with any needs. But the highlight for me was definitely the exceptional swimming pool and its accompanying facilities. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and enjoyable stay with excellent amenities and top-notch service.

While my stay was largely positive, there was one minor issue worth noting. experienced some noise disturbance from dogs in a neighboring room, which required me to request a room change. While the staff handled the situation efficiently, it was a slight inconvenience that impacted my initial experience.

Good quality breakfast, nice clean room, good sized room and nice views of the garden area. Great location close to the motorway for ease of arrival and easy to find.

I'd requested a double room, so expected that's what we'd have. We had a twin room, which for a married couple is not ideal, and did have an impact on our enjoyment of the stay. They did advise we should book specific rooms to avoid disappointment next time but this was not made clear on Booking.com and I went with the cheapest option.

Lovely stay from start to finish on the whole... great swim and breakfast, comfortable room with some nice complimentary bits. Ate evening meal at nearby Harvester and highly recommend.

Staff weren't forthcoming with information.Had to ask how to access the pool for example, Also no warm welcome at breakfast, or brief show around of buffet, just told sit anywhere and left to it. One receptionist more abrupt / unwelcoming than others. Most staff struggled to smile or offer any polite passing acknowledgement. These things cost nothing and would have made the stay 'excellent'!
