Chalet style rooms with large bathrooms fresh bedding ,towels toiletries and well stocked tea and coffee tray provided. Rooms are accessed by a front door onto the car park which made unloading really easy. Rooms are well decorated clean and a good size. We spent the evening after check in in Lyme Regis for fish n chips on the cob. And the next day in Sidmouth before moving onto Weymouth bay haven. The accommodation at a35 pit stop was a better standard than our Bronze static caravan there. A35 pit stop rooms are positioned behind the subway and Greggs restaurant. You get to it on the right hand side of the building via a single track road.
A small fridge would have been a bonus.

Great location for us for visiting family in Axminster. Basic Motel style fine for us, obs near A35 but 'round the back' and also, walls were solid so noise limited. Clean bathroom and towels plus free wifi. The bed was much comfier than it looks and bedding super; 2 great nights' sleep. With a Greggs, a Subway and Londis fine for snacks. Kilmington lovely village and pleasant walk to New Inn for bar snacks. Bright lights(!) of Axminster 5 min drive. Great price with booking.com
Struggled with shower and perhaps needed a touch of Dettol green bottle mould killer on sealant! Nothing else but we're not of the 'I'm horrified I found a spider's web' mob (not that I did come across one actually)

Everything you need around you, petrol, shop, gregs and subway. Room was okay, very basic but just what we needed for the night.
Shower had just a screen with a dodgy seal so leaked through whrn used a bit, needs a shower curtain really. No tea bags - only coffee in the room. No signs, only a b&b sign - had to ask gregs staff to help me and they were very informative. The texaco garage are the ones u need to talk to to get the keys

It was all clean & fresh looking with plenty of space. It was also good that it was on a site of a Greggs where we enjoyed our breakfast. There was also a Subway & shop at petrol station. It was quiet being round the back.
I just wish the directions had said it was near Greggs & Subway so we knew in advance the facilities that were available & would have made it easier to find.

The layout of the property was awesome it reminded me of a American motel but with amazing facilities. Location is great and easy to get to with a car or 30 mins walk from the train station. There is also a Greggs and a subway on the side of the property and a forecourt garage across the carpark. Price was incredible 😄 😄 😄 😄 Will be coming back again and thank you.
Main road is hard to cross on foot but it is durable.

Everything you need for an overnight stay. Tea/coffee making facility. Shower/ bathroom (with complementary shampoos) was spotlessly clean as was remainder of room. Small but adequate TV. Good night's sleep. We were very pleased with the price. Would definitely book again. Convenient safe parking
Far exceeded our expectations considering the price charged. Maybe a good idea to leave WiFi password by tv.

Room big & clean. Bed comfy. Could park car outside room. Restaurant next door to have breakfast.
No reception or staff to book into room. Had to ask in restaurant then I was sent over to petrol station. They didn't know about room key collection either. In the end a member of staff phoned & collected key for me. I didn't know where to drop key off & handed it to a restaurant staff member.

It was a budget room so wasn't expecting the ritz. Ticked all the boxes it needed to, large comfortable room, clean towels and bedding, small TV with Freeview channels, parking right outside the room, and right next to a Greggs and Subway.
Nothing to really complain about, it's close to a busy road but couldn't really hear any traffic noise inside.

The room and the bathroom were very clean. the beds were very comfortable and the bedding was fresh and clean.
The choice of food was more snack type. A proper cooked meal was not available, which after travelling for hours is something I would have liked.

I was looking for somewhere to stay on my way home to Portsmouth from Exeter that was simple to access, clean, warm and cheap and Pitstop met all those criteria. The room was spotless, warm and comfortable. It was a little noisy backing straight on to the A35 but I knew that, that was part of its attraction in a way, I was not looking for a holiday but convenience. The room was great value. I have paid twice as much before for scruffier, dirtier rooms. I had no idea the price included breakfast too. Please don't put the price up as a result of this comment! £39 for warm, comfy, clean room with breakfast - epic. The staff were friendly on the phone and face-to-face. I make a couple of observations about Room 4 (not complaints) - I could not tune the TV to reliably watch BBC or a number of other channels - it kept pixcelating and freezing. Also I could not make the mixer tap divert to shower from bath. Also it felt a bit weird being the only person on site at night. No staff or other guests and slightly dark entrance around the back. It didn't bother me but it might bother some. A light in the corridor to rooms 3 and 4 would be nice too. I would definitely use again. Our daughter is at Uni at Exeter and this will be a perfect, straightforward over-nighter. This facility would not be everybody's cup of tea. But if you are looking for a simple, cheap, clean and friendly over night stop with super easy access to the main routes - look no further!
