I was truly amazed by the genuine kindness and welcoming spirit of Cara and Steve. From the moment I arrived, they went far beyond simple hospitality, offering thoughtful gestures that felt sincere and deeply personal. Their attention and warmth made me feel incredibly valued. The room itself was a little gem — beautifully arranged, full of thoughtful details that made me feel comfortable and pampered in every way. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, with delicious options that exceeded my expectations, and the cleanliness was impeccable, setting a standard well above what I usually experience. It was a stay that genuinely touched me and will remain a cherished memory. Thank you Cara and Steve.

Met Cara and Steve on arrival. They were both very warm and welcoming and so were their 2 gorgeous dogs! We explained that we were down south for a skydive experience and asked if we could checkout a little earlier to make the experience. Both Cara and Steve were very accommodating and even suggested that they make us our breakfast sandwiches to takeaway instead of eat in, which we didn’t expect at all given that we were checking out early. Facilities and room were exceptional. You can clearly see the attention to detail and thought that has been put into the rooms and it has some beautiful homely touches. Beautifully decorated, amazing water pressure. Probably the best I’ve experienced from a B&B before, had a fantastic morning shower. 10/10 experience, would highly recommend and return to the area to jump again we wouldn’t think twice about booking this location, we’d be booking in a hurry! Such good rates with such good service. We’ll be back at some stage in the future! Thank you Cara and Steve for welcoming us and hosting us at your beautiful premises! ☺️

Monkton Court House B&B is delightful. The rooms have been renovated to an exceptionally high standard and contain all (and more) that you need for a most enjoyable and relaxing stay. Cara and Steve, the owners of Moncton Court, are friendly, knowledgeable about the area and a real joy to chat with. Our breakfast was truly superb and we sat outside with some stunning views to hand.

The B&B is near the road, but there is no noise from the road when inside. However, the nearness to the road was an advantage for us as it meant the overnight stay was a perfect location to break our journey and accessible to the route we were driving.

Hotel booked at random as close to a wedding event It was an excellent choice, a gem of a stay. We had Courtyard room Super king-size very comfortable bed. En suite excellent and breakfast full filled (in all aspects ha ha). Cara & Steve very friendly and informative. Enjoyed our short stay, would definitely stay there again. Decor of rooms good and clean. Super towels in en suite Courtyard very pleasant. Various coffee options provided eg caffitierre as well as tea and instant. Recharge emergency torch in room. WiFi very good

This is our seventh stay at this property as it is near my wife's auntie in Sidmouth where we visit regularly. It is the best place we have ever stayed in the area. You have your room, with your own front door. Breakfast is delivered to your room at a time specified by you, and there is a wide variety of breakfast to order. We had the smaller room this visit but is more than adequate. Cara or Steve are on hand when you arrive to show you to your room Larger rooms are available and are all great. Highly recomended

We were made to feel extremely welcome, and having breakfast brought to our room was a lovely touch. Breakfast was also exceptional! Very comfortable bed, and great shower with plenty of hot water and pressure! Our hosts were very flexible and allowed our doggo to stay with us on our first night at the last minute due to our dog sitter's plans changing - which we very much appreciated.

The room was a little on the warm side, but then a fan was provided and we had brought our own because of the heatwave we were experiencing.

Very clean, comfortable and well decorated room with good tea and coffee facilities and crockery if eating in. Excellent breakfast brought to the door. Literally just off the A30 so very convenient for breaking a long journey up or down to West Country. This made for a bit of road traffic noise but with trusty earplugs in, it did not disturb me (especially in the winter months) Could park car very close to the unit for ease of access and sense of security Excellent value for money for a solo traveller Highly recommend it

The room was lovely it was warm and the shower worked well. The extras like milk, tea, coffee, biscuits, and orange juice were very much appreciated and such good value. The hearty breakfast was exceptional, all piping hot, and the eggs benedict were fantastic. We had a wonderful good value meal at the Sidmouth Arms in Upottery as recommended by the hosts at the B&B. Hosts Cara and Steve were very friendly, helpful, and always on hand. Plenty of parking and great value for dogs at only £6 each extra charge when we stayed for one night Just a few things that didn't bother us but may bother others, there is nowhere to walk from the door. Our dogs are not fussy and happy to do their business on the gravel drive, so not a problem for us. A short drive away is NT Dumpdon Hill Fort, which is a great walk with stunning views over the surrounding area and great for furry friends. The property is right on the A30 which is very convenient, the road noise didn't keep us from sleeping, but if you feel it will, this may not be the place for you. The traffic noise was much less at night. Would highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay again with or without the dogs.

Handy location for a wedding we were attending. Cara kindly allowed us to check in early to accommodate this. Bedroom fully equipped and the cooked breakfast brought to our room was delicious!! A quirky place with character. Such welcoming people who looked after us a well. I could be picky about a couple of things but to be honest, it was such a great experience, I don’t even want to mention them! Thank you Cara and Steve.

Cara and Steve are exceptional hosts and the breakfast was amazing! A brilliant selection to choose from, served piping hot and beautifully presented. Despite being alongside the road there was no noise issues and perfect for accessing surrounding areas. Room was clean and warm despite the sudden change of weather, bed was comfortable and lots of tea and coffee supplied. We will definitely be staying again!
