My stay at the White Heart Hotel was excellent. From the moment I arrived, we were greeted by the warm and friendly staff, who genuinely seemed to enjoy their work. Their attentiveness and natural hospitality made us feel instantly welcome. One of the standout aspects of this hotel is the personal touch - it's clear that the owners are actively involved in the day-to-day running of the place, which adds a lovely family-oriented feel. The hotel itself is full of charm, offering a cosy and inviting atmosphere. We also had the pleasure of enjoying a gorgeous dinner in the evening. The food was exceptional - beautifully prepared and very reasonably priced given the quality. Overall, the White Heart Hotel is a perfect blend of warmth, charm, and excellent service.

We were delayed getting to the hotel because of our luggage at Heathrow. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to our situation and super flexible with late a check-in and checkout. The pub and restaurant were a nice bonus to end and start our day. The English breakfast was superb. The location of the hotel is very central to Martock, with a lovely local and traditional feel to it. In addition, I left my clothes in a drawer by accident, and the staff sent them back to me promptly. Very thoughtful and kind.

The in-room facilities were a little basic. Tap and light in our room didn't work properly.

We recently stayed at this charming hotel with our family of 10, including three children, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The hotel itself has a bit of an old-world charm, which only added to the overall experience. It had a very traditional English feel that we absolutely loved. The location is beautiful, offering a picturesque setting that was perfect for our family. Despite the hotel's age, it was extremely comfortable, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. The rooms were well-stocked with plenty of toiletries and tea/coffee, and they were cleaned meticulously each day without us even having to ask. In short, our stay was nothing short of perfect, and we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming, and authentically English experience.

Everything was clean, the windows freshly painted, heating was good and it had a cosy feel. The owners and all the staff were very friendly. We had a cooked breakfast which was great and the evening meal was outstanding. The choice and quality far exceeded our expectations. The bar was full of locals and had a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The decor in the room was dated but it didn't matter given all the positives.

Breakfast was very good, staff were very friendly and very helpful. Room was good, nice warm shower and very good bed. A really nice experience, good for pets - very welcoming. Decor a little dated, but its well priced, warm and welcoming. Have not slept as well in a hotel in many years.

Decor in a few places needs an update-mainly in rooms - but its all clean and it this is a small issue given overall experience.

The pub itself is wonderful, run by amazing people. We arrived at lunchtime for a 1 night stay meeting up with friends during the day, they also came over for food there that evening. The food was delicious and the village of Martock was so pretty. Thank you for the wonderful stay, we will be back again!

The owners were so lovely and made me feel very welcome, at ease and safe as a solo female traveller. The room was very comfortable, lots of hot water, and the breakfast was delicious and great value. Martock was in a good position for visiting various national trust properties.

I thought Martock was a bit dull and not very pretty, apart from the lovely church, but that's just how it is.

Terrific family-run, historic, boutique hotel. The staff were all very warm and welcoming, and breakfasts included with my room were great. The hotel also sports a nice little bar/lounge where locals and guests gather to exchange news and views. Great experience!

The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was exceptional, and the staff even made the beds for us while we were out. This was unexpected, but very welcome. Overall, we had a wonderful weekend and would thoroughly recommend The White Hart. We would definitely stay again.

The stairs, but there is nothing that can be done about that. We liked everything about our stay.

Given a very warm welcome at this Country pub hotel in the pretty village of Martock. Large comfortable bedroom, pet friendly and an excellent menu in the bar/restaurant. Free parking in carpark or on street. A short drive from the A303.
