I had veggie breakfast which was very good. Also lots of continental options, granola and yoghurt were superb. We were part of a large group and were late for pre-booked dinner due to flight delay. Contacted hotel who were very accommodating and put a hold on dinner until we arrived. Dinner was served promptly, food was great and very good value.

I had to blow dry my hair with a small hand mirror I had brought but then discovered there was a large mirror with a stand in the wardrobe that can be put on the table - would be good to highlight this somewhere if possible as I wasn’t the only one in our group who missed it.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hollies on a motorbiking long-weekend over the bank holiday, and would definitely stay here again! There were 8 of us, so we had one of the cottages and one room in the hotel to accommodate everybody. The food and service in the restaurant was absolutely outstanding - and we were more than happy to eat there every evening. The accommodation was smart and clean. The cottage we had does have two bathrooms as advertised, but one is actually an en-suite, which might not be practical for some groups of sharers. On the whole though - a lovely place to stay and eat - highly recommended!

The walk between the cottage and the main building/restaurant was a pain in the rain (some umbrellas to borrow would be great).

We were a big wedding party so we were all accommodated across the cottages and hotel which was great. Large, comfortable bedrooms. Easy parking. Bikes for rent. Wish we could have enjoyed the property a bit more but we were out for most of the day. Thank you for posting the items we left behind; we really appreciate it.

The property feels like a high end property when you look at the prices we paid but this was not reflected in the small details. Eg; no cafetiere, not particularly well equipped kitchen, some questionable artwork! The small details you’d expect at a high end property were missing. However, we would stay here again and it hasn’t put us off.

Great location, lots of parking, clean rooms , but the most outstanding part or our stay has to be the staff. Could not fault anyone, great service from the moment we arrived, cleaners, bar staff, chefs and owners were fantastic. Not often you stay somewhere and the employees are genuinely positive and enthusiastic about their jobs and the people they work with/for. I’ve stayed in 5 star London hotels that don’t come close . Great value for money. Would definitely recommend and will be back .

Air con would be nice but this wouldn’t put me off staying again

Our favourite retreat in Somerset. We stay here when visiting our daughter. The rooms are just lovely, the bed is very comfortable and they even have a ceiling fan. There is everything you need in your room. Microwave, kettle, mini bar - same prices as the restaurant , sofa, patio with garden furniture and brolly We usually book the restaurant for dinner. And the dinner is exceptional. We eat out a lot and who ever the chef is, is amazing. Who would think that tuna and peppercorn sauce would work so well together. The curry was also exceptional The staff in the hotel and restaurant are just lovely. I would recommend you stay here if you are in the area, you will not be disappointed

Just one small thing would be to supply two big towels if two guests are staying - quite happy to swap the smaller towel in favour of a big towel, just nicer dying off with a nice big towel after a shower

Lovely location, cottage modern and in good condition with nice outside space. Comfortable beds. Restaurant meal was very good. Character of main bar and restaurant was lovely. Parking was good.

A couple of things were missed in cleaning. Kettle was old and lid was broken. Could do with a toaster and printed out instructions for quite complicated oven to avoid finding manual on line.

The fan above the bed was a bonus as it was an extremely warm night. Had our evening meal in restaurant - plenty of choice and good value. staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent - plenty of choice again. Used this Hotel as it was near relatives we were visiting. Would do so again if the need arose.

Nothing - everything perfect

Breakfast was good, the location was good. Nice and quiet and comfortable.

Coffee, tea etc. in a cupboard but no where to plug in the kettle so had to move everything. In a luxury room would expect a coffee maker or coffee bags and milk in the fridge. Only plug point on one side of the bed. Shower a bit awkward, situated on a side wall not in front, head needed descaling. Usually have have shower gel etc in large containers in the shower not small pots.

EV charger, easy access from car park to receptoin, easy check in, nice rooms, love the patio from the room, nice surroundings, ceiling fan great for this weather, gym useful, restaurant service great, great selection of food, good price, nothing to complain about, check out easy and had company address on invoice, will def stay again. Good selection of minibar if needed.

I think there was a towel on the side of the bath when I checked in, wasnt sure if it was used or not or forgotten about after the room was cleaned before I arrived, not a big deal. Couldnt find a plug socket for the kettle near a table so had to put kettle on the floor. Cups could be bigger (i.e. mugs).

Very friendly, and quick check in. Only serve food until 8pm on a Sunday, so we phoned in advance as we were hoping to arrive by about 7.45, having driven from Heathrow, and they arranged to have our order ready at 8pm, very considerate of them. Room comfortable, the ceiling fan was a bonus as it had been a warm day. Secure parking in the large car park behind the main building, electric chargers if you need one. Excellent breakfast, continental or a large full English. Hope to stay again when next in the area.

A plug near a mirror for the hairdryer might be useful. Quilt on bed perhaps a bit heavy for a summer stay, but that's being a bit fussy!!
