The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The room was large, comfortable and very clean. The hotel had a charm to it that you don’t get in chain hotels. You can see there is a lot of history in the building. The terrace/garden was well laid out and comfortable with easy access. The location was fantastic and central for sightseeing and general tourist things.

Breakfast was lovely, staff were lovely and the place is just really cosy and comfortable with a lovely little courtyard. I felt safe, comfortable - a home from home.

Not a negative but a suggestion - I wasn't asked if I wanted to make reservations for dinner when I checked in. If I had been asked I may have booked. Missed sale

Although the hotel was, somewhat, dated with furnishings past their best I still enjoyed a comfortable stay. The bedroom was well heated, too.

One of the cupboard doors was hanging from its hinges and it was difficult to open the locks to both my bedroom door and to the outdoor security gate. These really should receive attention.

Lovely, comfortable room opening out onto the patio area so it was great to sit and enjoy a local cider after a long day. The shower was hot and the staff were friendly and helpful. Langport is a lovely town. We will definitely be going back.

We didn’t find anything to not like.

Comfortable little room in the courtyard of the pub ,good value for £50 for the night .Ensuite ,complimentary toiletries ,tea and coffee making facilities in room . Parking in free village carpark at back of pub . Fine for solo traveller for one night .

Room a bit damp smelling

Great place and staff ,stayed before food was great. Bridge was out but not a problem . Staff helped to get us in early as we had a prior meeting . Thank you

The roof is being repaired which is great . Hopefully this will be the start of needed restoration

Room was fab, I struggle with sleeping on mattresses and with decent pillows and I can tell you I slept like a baby. Attached to a great public house the staff are brilliant

Rustic very friendly locals pub in character town with 1970s decor! Large room for single person (3 small beds!) & I could store my bicycle safely in my room!

Shower old and weak. Bed ancient and very soft. But you get what you pay for.

actualy the breakfast was nicer than i expected cooked to order.

The car parking. { but i appriciate} you have no control over it. i was in a van doing a motorsport event. so was hopeing for a secure spot.

The full English breakfast was spot on. Plenty of clean towells and lovely bedding. The carvery looked good but we went elsewhere for dinner. Overall, worth the £70 for the 3 of us.

The water pressure wasnt great so the toilet didnt flush properly and the shower was much too hot, which you couldnt change. They did warn you in the blurb though. We had a front bedroom. So with the old sash windows and the property right on the road, the traffic did keep waking us up.
