We had a lovely stay here! The room was clean, comfy, and had everything one might need. The staff were friendly and very helpful, which made us feel welcome from the start. While the property itself doesn’t serve evening meals (only daytime dining until 5pm), there are several nearby pubs and restaurants offering great food and a lovely evening atmosphere. Do note that it’s a working harbour, so the town wakes up early – this didn’t bother us, but it’s good to know. Our only small suggestion would be to add a shelf or countertop in the bathroom for toiletries. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay!

The room was very comfortable and clean. Shower was amazing. Room was nice and spacious and warm. And views out our front window of the harbour were lovely. We really appreciated the 2 fresh scones that were left for us with a nice cup of tea after arriving from Galway. Our breakfast {fry]} on Saturday morning was excellent too. The girls serving breakfast were really lovely and very helpful. I would also recommend the lobster bar down the street for delicious food.

The view from our 2 side windows of a green building across the road {pic attached} which was in a bad state of repair, large pieces of paintwork peeling off all over the place. Really takes from the area and looks terrible. The roads all throughout the town and surrounding areas are really bad with bumps and dips and potholes and our car really took a beating. The town itself lacked people I think. We visited all the pubs there on Friday night which were empty and dead except for mc carthys bar where there was music. I'd say about 6 or 7 customers while we were there. I would have thought October bank holiday would be a lot busier to be honest. We done the ring of beara on sat which has breathtaking scenery worth viewing and enjoyed that immensely. It made up for the lack of nightlife.

We got a large room with a look directly into the harbor. You might want to keep in mind, that the town is characterized by the fishing industry and thus does not really boast tourist attractions.

The restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday, thus there is no breakfast served. It's not a big deal, because there is a lovely cafe right around the corner, or you could just fetch some breakfast from the supermarket.

Room was spotless. Good shower. Tea/coffee. Comfortable bed. Room had all the usual basics.

It's just a room above a cafe that closes at 5pm. So not a guesthouse or hotel. There's the option to book breakfast the night before. Otherwise, no human contact at all. If arriving after 5pm you access via a keypad. Room key in key safe, again accessed by a code. All quite efficient. An extra pillow would be good!

Exceptionally clean and nicely decorated. the staff are so friendly, Centrally Located right in the town. Breakfast is cafe downstairs is lovely.

Very noisy at night but to be expected due to its central location but be prepared for noise if staying here as all rooms are on the front on the building so there is no escaping it.

Centrally located. Really comfortable beds. Spotlessly clean. Although not included in our stay, breakfast in the cafe downstairs is excellent.

As it is located on the main square around all the pubs, it can be noisy at night time but as we stayed during the Regatta this was to be expected.

Excellent Location for my requirements attending a course at BIM College only 3 minutes walking. Breakfast was pre arranged early and was excellent. Staff were extremely helpful. My wife joined me midweek through the course and she was well looked after in my absence.

Bath towels could have been a bit bigger but these were changed daily so not really a problem.

Great location with free parking right outside. Friendly, helpful staff. Large room with comfortable bed and good en-suite. Nice view over the harbour at the front ( it’s a working harbour so it’s an industrial rather than scenic view , but that was interesting) Food in the restaurant downstairs was excellent , locally sourced and fresh, and reasonably priced.

Nothing for us

View nice from room, room very comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. Very clean and excellent parking available. Lovely touch was a welcome cookie for us in the room and the staff downstairs were helpful for our check in. Thank you for a relaxing stay.

Its location. So close to the port. The well run restaurant downstairs. Room 1 with 3 windows. The efficiency and warmth of all staff.

There was no mat in the shower. The danger of sliding and slipping in creases with age. There was nothing in the shower to hold on to or steady oneself. Just a suggestion.
