The location was perfect, very classy design that stand out differently from the rest of the hotel and stay in the area. The owner (host) of the stay (Mr and Mrs Wang and Wang Ma Ma) were very friendly and helpful to ensure that our needs were met. We observed that they did not serve same breakfast, so some good choices of variety day to day. The stay offered a 5 am sunrise cycling tour around the south of the lake free (just pay for your own bicycle rental), where there are some nice scenic spot to take picture of the tranquility of the lake which looks different. Mr Wang will personally lead the tour, and he explained and told stories of the lake that my family enjoyed. He will also help to take very beautiful picture for the for the family. There is no parking lot at the hotel, but the host will paid your vehicle parking for a nearby car park for the stay which we were grateful. There are some house rules, and love the rules so that everyone can be considerate and have a pleasant stay. The room are very interestingly designed and well maintained. We enjoyed the comfy stay and yet felt at home.

We stayed in six different hotels during our 7-day trip to Taiwan, and this one easily ranks #1. The facilities are new and well-maintained, and the location near the lake is perfect. Breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. What really made our stay exceptional was the host. Absolutely 100/10! He was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. He even offered a bike tour, which gave us a deeper appreciation of Sun Moon Lake, and shared so many helpful recommendations for other places to visit in Taiwan. We truly felt special staying here. Highly recommend!

All aspects! All staff were incredibly accommodating and informative. Gave plenty of itinerary suggestions (both touristy and less touristy options) as well as restaurants. The owner takes you on an incredible bike ride before the sunrise to get the best views of the true sun moon lake. As well as information on different locations on the bike trail. This is a must if you come here! Wide selection of foods for the morning breakfast and the entire Villa is both tasteful and comforting. (This is my only 10/10 rating on booking.com to date)

The room and bathroom are spacious and very well thought out. It was clean and has a.small balcony where you can see Sun Moon Lake. The staff was very helpful and provided us with information on some of the places where we should definitely go visit. Breakfast. Is also good and we also liked that we were able to store our bags for an hour or two after checking out so we can still explore the area. The location of Laurel Villa B&B, we think is perfect, it's near places to eat and to the harbor so very convenient if you want to take the boat, the bus stop is not too far either. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautifully renovated and very clean. Great location across the street from Shuishe pier and a short walk from the main bus station. Breakfast was plentiful and had good variety. But the best thing about this place is the staff. The owner leads a wonderful sunrise bike tour of Sun Moon Lake in both Mandarin and English. Definitely worth getting up early for it! Also, the staff helped us book a paddleboard lake tour that turned out to be my kids' favorite part of our 2-week trip around Taiwan. The staff was very attentive and had great lunch/dinner recommendations.

The breakfast is adequate enough to last till early dinner time. The location is convenient and short walk from the bus stop. Likewise, catching the express bus to Taipei bus station. The lady owner was very helpful and recommended us 2 nice restaurants for dinner and the ferry ride as well as the cultural center. The ferry that cruise Sun Moon Lake is right across the street. You can just buy your ticket before boarding the ferry.

My friend and I would have been very disappointed with Sun, Moon, Lake if not because we stayed in Laurel Villa B&B. Wayne from Laurel Villa B&B provided an excellent service for me and my friend by taking us on a 4km bicycle ride from 5.25am before the break of dawn. We saw a very different side of Sun, Moon, Lake early in the morning with no crowd at all, with fresh air and amazing scenary and sun rise. We feel at home staying in Laurel Villa B&B. The room is beautiful and very comfortable, though a chair and a few more hooks in the toilet would be good. The breakfast is yummy and we miss the dog, 长毛！

This B&B was our favorite accomodation on the Taiwan trip. Before our stay began, we were already messaged and explained how to take the bus to arrive at the right bus station at SunMoonLake. Great and thoughtful service. The location is super close to the lake, without a direct view. We enjoyed our room. The breakfast was wonderful. On one early morning, we joined a bike tour to witness the sunrise. The guide (and his dog friends) were wonderful and turned it into one of our favorite activities in Taiwan. This sunrise biking tour is greatly recommended!

The staff at this hotel are amazing. Our hostess gave us great advice for visiting the main attractions and Wayne, our host, must be an institution at Sun Moon lake as every morning he takes guests to a beautiful short cycling tour. We truly appreciated their commitment and the guidance they provided. Breakfast was authentic and good. The central location was easy to find and easy to reach.

Minor things, but some guests might not like the rooms that don't have windows except in the bathroom and limited space for storage.

We love the morning tour with the boss where he shares the lovely views and history of the lake with us on bicycle. It is a must to do even though it is very early in the morning. We love the room too. It is so comfortable and homely. Beds are very comfortable and the view from the room is nice as well. The breakfast is super good too, nice home cooked taiwanese fare that is cooked simply to capture the goodness of the food.
