The property looks very old fashioned, both the reception and the room. However, still, our room was ENORMOUS, felt elegant. The star of the show was undoubtedly the bathtub, which was supremely comfortable to just lay in and relax after a day jumping around the Lake. Breakfast in the morning was simple, but abundant - and the dan bing were actually delicious (my girlfriend is local and was quite surprised at how good they were!).

The exterior pictures will make it look more isolated than it actually is - still, the room was very quiet and we have no complaint for that. It’s still within reach of the town centre, but far away from the hustle and bustle, so all good. The view isn’t of the main lake, but rather a small ‘bay’ with a dock for rental canoes and the likes. The double bed was actually to single beds arranged together, which made it slightly less comfortable for us.

The room was super spacious. It was nice and clean. The view is ok but not great. The staff was nice and friendly. The location is close to the market and bus station. Breakfast was great and you do need it as there are not many shops around there that will open so early in the morning.

They don't have a great view of the lake. You need to access the hotel from a small street but all the taxi and Uber drivers know how to get around it.

Limited view of the lake, but it was very comfortable and it had traditional Japanese vibes. There were also a few bicycle rental shops right beside the hotel, so you could start your exploration of the lake immediately. There was a bicycle rental shop with an old lady who sold tea leaf eggs who was extremely hospitable.

I loved everything. The owner greeted me when I arrived early to simply store my luggage as I explored the area. However, she surprised me and allowed me to check into my room at that time, about 8am. I was pleasantly surprised. It didn't stop though, as I explained I was leaving at 745am the next day, so she organised my breakfast to be prepared at 7am and ready to eat on the go if I desired. The room was delightful (especially after the previous accommodation being very average), they have a lift, the bathroom was excellent (great hot shower and good pressure), big room and plenty of towels. The beds were single twins and both very comfy. The room clean, odourless, and well laid out. The whole atmosphere was welcoming and I would not hesitate to stay at this accommodation when I visit the lake again.

The only complaint I have is I didn't book this accommodation for the night before and instead stayed at a rather average guest house, but that's all on me. There was not anything to dislike about this accommodation.

The price was very reasonable, the staff was very friendly, all the basic necessities were present.

The bathroom can get a little update; the hotel location is not too far from the bus station, but the path is not straight forward as you hope - be prepare to walk a slight hill.

Thank you for the update. We had a view on the lake. 5 meters away from main cyclist road. 19 meters away from bike rental. We could not hear neighbors and there wasn’t a bad smell in the lavatory

Hotel could have some renovation. Except of that, eveyrthing was ok.

Great location, tucked down a quiet street opposite to the bus stop, with the lake in front of the hotel- perfect for long bike rides and trail walks! Lovely, accommodating staff and very friendly, too. A wonderful, peaceful stay.

Breakfast schedule is narrow (starts at 7am) and finishes early- 8.40am is last order.

The accomodation was easy to find and situated in a quiet road opposite the lake. Our room surpassed expectations, was spacious and elegant. The sunken bath an added luxury and very therapeutic after a long day cycling round the lake.

The location was fantastic! Very nicely situated near the harbour and close to cafes and restaurants as well as the bus stop onwards to Alishan. Basic rooms great for a short stay. Right near the start of the lake on a great bike path (many bike hire places in close vicinity).

It is run by a family and it has this cosy feeling. Our room was quite big with a huge bathroom. Clean, nice view.

Every day the same breakfast box, some variety would go a long way.
