Any place on the Westmann Islands is a bystander to its setting. This is a well-maintained home on a pleasant estate above the town. It is an 11-minute uphill walk from the port, passing the bakery that makes a good place for breakfast. Everything is walkable here, including the traces of the volcano damage from 1973, so no need to bring the car. The town's brewery and taphouse is one of the best in Iceland and there are good restaurants too. After I left my keys in my door, the owner went out of his way to get them back to me urgently via the ferry operators - thank you.

The rooms are a bit pinched in parts, as is the shared bathroom, but it works. Nothing not to like.

View from the room was nice, enough space in common area to sit relaxt and the beds were very comfy! Host was nice. We came for the puffins to the island, and we luckily managed to see some close to the guesthouse because of are patience and good camera :)

We were next to the family room and we heard the children late in the evening talking loudly, luckily they went quiet at midnight. And there was only one bathroom which we had to share with the family next to us.

A good option for a night on Vestmannaeyjar.

My room was not the one that they told me about, but another one, under a living room or a balcony with a table and chairs. The next day, very early in the morning, a group of tourists was sitting there, talking and moving the chairs, so it was a very very noisy morning for me. If you don't have a car and you have to carry the suitcase, the walking is around 15 minutes. Maybe 20, if you search for the address. It is an uphill road.

It was a neat and cozy room. Cozy seating area for guests and information about excursions and restaurants on the island. Handsome owner

There was a magnet from St. Petersburg on the refrigerator. We threw it away, but it was unpleasant to see it.

Very comfortable, and large shared facilities. The host was very friendly, and we had a long chat with some of the guests i the beautiful dining area. It had windows on all sides including the ceiling, so it was really enjoyable.

Nothing. Everything was excellent.

The location was excellent. We easily walked into town. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The host greeted us and was friendly and responsive when we had questions. He recommended several nice hikes that we enjoyed.

The place is super organized. The kitchen is publicly used, but every guest can feel it is own kitchen, very convinient and clean. When finish usage, every guest clean it and put it back as beginning. This because the manager request all guests to do so. Good idea, well done.

The location was excellent, a short walk from Elephant Rock in one direction and downtown Vestmannaeyjabær in the other. The proprietor went out of his way to make us feel welcome- we enjoyed a nice breakfast before boarding the morning ferry back to the mainland.

Everything was great with our stay.

Spacious enough in the family room. Nice garden. Free and convenient parking.

Only 1 shower amongst ~10 people (1 more shared by the basement rooms). Not enough hooks around the room to hang things.

We found the room to be very comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom were well equipped. The neighborhood is quiet and it is easy to park.

It is a bit long of a walk to restaurants.
