I wanted someplace near Vik and this was the most reasonably priced option, even though it was still an hour away. The room was comfortable and the twin beds can be separated for some space. Ample parking and breakfast was good. Also appreciated that the check-out times were later than at most places. It’s in a really pretty area and I could see how they host weddings there.

I don’t think anything could’ve been done but there was a fly in our room when we arrived. The shower was also laid out poorly so if you adjust the shower head, you pretty much run the risk of soaking the entire bathroom as there’s no shower door and the drain is right under the head instead of in the back.

At first glance, this place doesn't stand out or look like anything fancy, but it ended up being one of the favorite places we stayed. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but the property itself is amazing. There are ponds and they rent fishing rods which my son loved. There are plenty of places to walk and explore and you'll run into some friendly sheep along the way. The restaurant was good... we enjoyed dinner more than breakfast, but overall it exceeded expectations. Everyone was so nice and accommodating.

We didn't enjoy the breakfast here as much as we did at other places we stayed.

It was perfect! Beautiful accommodation, spotlessly clean and so comfortable. Exactly as it was shown in the photos. High-quality bed linen and towels, facecloths, hairdryer, and toiletries also provided. We ate in the restaurant and had a delicious meal served by friendly staff, great quality food and reasonably priced. Fabulous location, excellent for seeing the Northern Lights, and we woke up to a beautiful snowscape. Breakfast was superb, good choice of cereal, fruit and yoghurt, breads and cakes, continental and hot choices.

Everything was perfect!

The location is very good - it is close to Thorsmork and surrounding attractions. Buffet breakfast is great. There is a very nice restaurant on site with extensive menu and helpful staff. It works late, so you can still get dinner after doing one of the day tours nearby. Rooms are in a separate building that is well accessible.

Golf course is expensive and kind of meh - not spectacular in any way. The shower in the room is almost impossible to use without having the whole bathroom floor fill with water. It's the type of shower that does not have a divider/barrier, and the floor is just not sloped properly for drainage. So instead of draining the water leaks all over.

The locations is very convenience from Selfoss and head to Vik attractions. TV can access YouTube worth enough. I can enjoy watching a video Iceland Volcano. Super BF, tasty bacons & morning sausages, many kinds of coffee etc , worth enough to eat inside and ready some take out box and cups have a pack lunch permits. The most special thing is that the hotel's restaurant is very considerate and does not close after 5 o'clock. We were very tired after returning to the hotel from the tourist attractions, but we were still able to enjoy the smiling reception of the two male staff in the Restaurant who served us the hot soup we ordered. So considerate!

Only the shower design has water problem

It is a very nice location and calm as well, with very good breakfast and restaurant. The views from the hotel are amazing and we saw northern lights from there. It was very clean and and bathroom is very well equipped.

The room could be a little bit bigger, the sound insulation could be improved and it could be nice to be a little bit more modern. However, it did not had impact in our stay because it was good enough for one night.

The hotel is in a very good location for access the golden circle area, the south coast (including Westman island), and the Thorsmork area. The room was clean and comfortable, I would stay here again. The free breakfast is excellent.

The walls are quite thin so make sure you bring earplugs for birds and other guests if you want to sleep in late.

It was very nice and very quiet place with beautiful view to the country. We liked the breakfast. The beds were comfortable and large enough. Also the bathroom was large and comfortable. The were dark curtains that was very helpful during the summer time, so we can have the darkness for the quiet night sleep in the room.

The breakfast was like for one or two nights stay. Maybe they change it everyday, otherwise it would still be the same.

Beautiful location

Coach blocked the parking overnight despite a huge empty car park by the top building, frustrating as I have limited mobility. Felt the breakfast finished very early so we ended up skipping it. Room overlooked a trailer park which was a shame given the beautiful location. Staff were not very friendly at check in or check out.

Lovely location for viewing the night sky & fingers crossed the Aurora. The hotel staff are friendly & welcoming & the whole place has a chilled vibe. You also get a lovely breakfast if you choose.

One slight niggle, the restaurant is a slight walk from the rooms so if it's icy you need to take care. But hey this is Iceland not the Bahamas. Beware though any kind of cooking in the rooms, even preparation of 'pot noodle' style snacks is not permitted.
