My brothers and I stayed in Purbeck lodge for a couple of evenings for a trip to monkey world and we were blown away by how good the accommodation was. It was clean and functional, while also feeling homely. The facilities were excellent, everyone could have their own bed and bathroom. The sauna was wonderful for relaxing. The balcony meant we could have breakfast in the fresh air - nice and quiet with lovely birdsong. The location is wonderful for just nipping into the picturesque town of Wareham and more than close enough to monkey world for a day out with the primates, with plenty of parking. We have already discussed making it an annual trip and bringing our partners next time because we had such a great stay. Excellent value-for-money, thank you!

This is a really lovely spot. We stayed in the 4 bedroom house, right next to the golf course. The house is very large, all the bedrooms are big, all have en suites, the kitchen is enormous, has everything you need and more. Separate utility room and toilet downstairs. The lounge upstairs is really comfortable with a log burner and balcony overlooking the golf course. We didn't use any of the onsite facilities, so I can't comment on them. But we really enjoyed our stay here, very good value for money.

We wasn't told in advance that we had to book our evening meal on our arrival day by 1pm. We didn't arrive until 4pm , wasn't told by staff, until we read the information sheet given at check-in. There was a takeaway, no menu in our unit though and was limited to three meals.

The check-in and checkout process was smooth.

I called the receptionist to check about the amenities as we didn’t wanted to bring plastic plates. The receptionist told us that they don’t know if the house has cutlery set. The house had everything except the washing soap but was not a big deal as we bought from store.

Excellent location , cottage cosy.

Receptionist not very welcoming gave no information to the cottage or facilities. On departure a member of staff was more interested in talking to another staff member than myself. Left keys with a member of staff on computer and left. No conversation with any staff. Did not like public walking through the garden and leaving the gate open as we had small children.

Property had everything you needed making it a really pleasant stay, like home from home. Kitchen was fully equipped, nice open plan living space with plenty of sofas and large TV for the children in the group. Loved sitting on the balcony watching the birds and squirrels. Beds really comfy and bonus each bedroom having an en-suite. Added bonus was the sauna, nice way to end the day after exploring.

The sofas were old and dirty, the kitchen and lounge area smelt of old cooking oil The fridge wasn’t cooling properly, maybe should be turned on few hours before guests arrival, one of the toilets weren’t flushing, again this should be checked before guests arrival

The real bonus was finding an EV charging point on the resort.....would would be ideal is electric charging next to the lodge to have the convenience of the car next to the accommodation. Otherwise brilliant!

The sauna was a fantastic touch to the property. The location was quiet and serene. All the mod cons provided. I would definitely stay again. I'm already missing it

Nothing. But if I'm nit picking, then a separate washer dryer would have been perfect
