The hosts were helpful & accommodating. Cabin was clean. Located out of the way, but good location for exploring surrounding areas. The food was very good.
We were aware it was on a hill, but slopes & steps were very steep. Could be a problem if you have mobility restrictions. Was not made aware when booking that the pub isn't open on Monday & Tuesdays. We stayed Mon-thurs. The nearest place to get some food was about a 10-minute drive away. A very remote location.

It was unusually quirky but very comfortable. The absence of television was not even noticed. Two very minor problems in the room were rectified immediately. The welcome we received on arrival was exceptionally friendly and the freshly cooked breakfasts were second to none. The “free range guinea pigs” were charming, if a little shy. Full marks to Will who is obviously making a great effort to make a success of this business.
There was nothing to dislike in our opinion.

Was made to feel at home immediately . Evening meal freshly made and tasty. We were asked if we would like to take part in the quiz and this was a lovely start to our weekend. All the staff were very friendly and down to earth.
The steps and steep slope to the cabins, this is not mentioned in the information. Although we did take the car up the slope on the second night and this took away that issue . Maybe a mention would take away the issue for people with mobility issues .

This place is an absolute gem! My cabin was wonderfully decorated and full of nice little touches here and there. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into the rooms and making your stay pleasant and comfortable. I had a wonderful night sleep in my double bed. They provided added little complementary shampoo and conditioners, with coffee sachets and milk sachets in the room also. Outside each room, they have given everyone their own little table and chairs to take in the wonderful view with a little drink. There is a small little rose garden and lots of pretty flowers around the location also which was a nice touch. I adored the eclectic vintage vibe of the interior.. Even the bathroom was a delight to use 😄 The breakfast was lovely! Genuinely the best egg I've ever had, which is a bold statement (haha).... just enough to set you up right for the day. Hosts were wonderful, nicest bunch of people I've met in a long time, and did everything to make you feel right at home. Perfectly situated if you are visiting the Bovington tank museum. (Only a 20 minute drive away.) To top it all off- prices are also hugely reasonable. Wonderful place! 5 star 🌟 🤩 ✨️
Nothing.

We had a lovely stay at The Rivers Arms, it’s in such a peaceful location but not far to explore the area by car. Our cabin was cosy, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a short break. We didn’t miss having a TV, it’s nice to have a break from it actually. The hosts were so friendly and hospitable and are working hard to please their guests. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and the property has a homely feel, cosy bar area and breakfast area and lounge with lovely vintage furnishings and china.
There was nothing at all that we didn’t like (except the weather!)

The staff where great, the location is very rural and quiet, the breakfast was excellent and cooked fresh to order. The pub bar when open (not open on a Monday & Tuesday evening) was very reasonably priced and the evening meals at the pub where also excellent.
We stayed in June and it was a very warm / hot week, Air con in the chalet-cabins would have helped but even a mini fridge would have made all the difference.

It was nice and comfortable the chalets are well laid out and comfy.a lot of attention has been paid to customer comfort. The pub area was nice and the top terrace was lovely for an evening drink 🍸 do not understand why unhappy face has appeared on this comment .I was 😊 😃 😀 😄
If you are looking for a noisier holiday and you have limited body movement, then not for you.if however you would love peace, quiet, tranquillity with good walking ability in a country setting this is your place.plus awesome guinea pigs .....

The place is very calm. The cabins although small are comfortable, cosy and well-decorated. The owners are very welcoming, available and helpful. The food is simple but tasty and the meals are prepared promptly.
Not being used to drive on the left hand-side of the road, the journey to get there can be a bit challenging on narrow roads.

Good friendly welcome lovely cabin that was warm and clean. Comfortable bed .Good location to see Dorset.
Our only criticism would be that the cooked breakfast was small, especially for my husband. Consisted of one sausage one egg one slice of bacon a small pot of beans and one slice of toast! He could of eaten 2 or 3 😁 . For the price, we expected a little more, although I don't think this would stop us returning but if you like a big hearty breakfast with all the trimmings, you won't get that here. Also no fresh fruit on the continental and pastries were minimal and shop bought packaged items.

Great little place away from the madding crowds in Dorset, due to its more isolated rural location away from the coast. Nice little bar / restaurant. Clean, adequate chalets (but quite small). There is no TV so if you rely on this to amuse yourselves at night, you might want to think again. Not an issue for us though as we are big readers. Very quiet. Nice friendly staff. Nice breakfast (Cereal, fruit, yogurt, juice and a cooked breakfast with tea/coffee)
Only issue was that it wasn't open on the day we arrived and we had hoped to get dinner there as it is a rural location. There are a couple of good pubs a few miles down the road (but these are farmers tracks / narrow lanes) and was not keen to drive at night. If you don't like the smell of the great outdoors (ie strong manure smell at times from neighbouring farmer's fields) then you could struggle. Otherwise, great little place.
