Lovely clean room. Very comfy bed and great shower with a lovely full english breakfast made with local ingredients and home cooked bread. Given that it clearly states that this is a no frills b and b, we were both impressed and would have no hesitation staying here again when in the area. We also took advantage of the seasonal dinner menu and had a lovely relaxed evening eating in the garden overlooking the countryside with a stunning sunset. Sadly, we didn't get to meet Claire as she was away but her son, Alex, looked after us very well. Alex, who is also a chef cooked us a lovely breakfast and it was nice to eat in the kitchen and talk to him while he cooked and we were also able to meet the other guests. We had a good sized twin room and the beds were extremely comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful. Our two night stay was so reasonably priced and it suited our needs perfectly. Thank you for having us.

The dogs did keep us awake the first night as they were missing Claire but the following night we heard nothing and had a really good sleep.

Everything about this No frills B&B was excellent. Claire our host was very accomodating one of the best places I've stayed at. Hearing how the B&B started and seeing in a picture book of how a derelict barn with no water or electricity become a lovely place to stay.

If I could change anything it would be the roads as some are narrow but nothing that the Pleck Barn B&B can control. There is nothing I would change for this Quaint B&B and I look forward to staying again.

Gorgeous rural location away with everything. The grounds and countryside around were beautiful. So very peaceful. Silver room was gorgeous . Claire was super welcoming and cooks a super breakfast! Her dogs are adorable. My Cockapoo adored being able to run freely outside . Claire set up a table and chairs for us to have our picnic outside for supper and we couldn’t have had a more perfect night watching the sunset.

Not a thing. It exceeded expectations having being described on the site as “no frills… two star”. This is Claire’s lovely home which needs to be respected.. and her incredibly low costs reflects this. It is such good value for those wanting to be away from it all

Fantastic Host booked late 8.30pm Got a nice message we're making up your room and a call to confirm. The room so clean and the decor is amazing Self Check in perfect touch WiFi is really good TV has a firestick so so much to watch The Room is huge too Just an easy friendly service from booking to leaving the next day Really nice touch is on the corridor there's a fridge and microwave for guests to use along with glasses of you want to take a drink of wine or something with you I will be stopping here again no doubt

There's nothing I did not like

I thought the cooked breakfast that I had on first day was a little under cooked for my liking but didn't like to seem ungrateful so refrained from saying anything so did not have cooked breakfast for the rest of my stay. The room was comfortable and adequate facilities and I had the best 3 nights sleep I had had in a long time.

Can't say there was anything I didn't like though I did find the property hard to find.

Spacious bedroom with a comfortable bed. Nice shower room and toilet area. Lovely peaceful location. Outstanding breakfasts. No traffic or aircraft noise but you will hear the sounds of the countryside. Local lanes are well maintained.

This is not a hotel destination, but if you like staying on a working equestrian farm and you like dogs and a splendid cooked breakfast then this is great.

Location Is great, a beautiful house in the middle of Dorset countryside, surrounded by horses, cows, hens and 3 lovely lovely dogs! Great place where to stay if you are visiting Dorset and want to enjoy even more the peace and quiet :) the little window on the sealing of our room made us enjoy every night the starry sky and the moon, clearly visible in the pitch black of the night :)

The location was great. Pleck was dated with basic facilities in keeping with price and rustic appeal.. Bed very comfy. Very quiet. Owners were obviously trying hard to provide a country B & B as an alternative to normal cooperate run enterprises. When we visit the fair lady of the establishment was recovering from a major operation and to her credit still maintained a service to her guests.

Claire was a fab host. We sat and chatted with her over a nice breakfast in her cosy kitchen. The silver room was comfortable and the shower was better than the one at home 😂 It is what it says, a no frills b&b but it’s all you need if you just want to get your head down and have a breakfast. We were very respectful of the rules as we were very aware that we were in someone’s house and not a hotel. Excellent value for money. The Fox inn is just a few minutes drive away and is very friendly with great food. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend to our friends
