The room had an en suite, a view of the garden, was quiet and with plenty of room. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. There was a TV, tea facilities, a hair dryer, iron, a spacious wardrobe and a Gideons Bible. A little rocking chair by the window was good. Breakfast could be as simple or as large as you wished with a good choice in a lovely airy room. Host Gary was very helpful. Parking right outside. Venue was within easy reach of Dorchester town, Museum and Hardy’s Max Gate. Maiden Castle was also worth a visit.

My room was on the top floor so make sure, if you have mobility problems, you mention this when booking. It was fine for me.

Just everything. Felt like going into my own home. There was no worries. I was taken to my room. I was opened mouth at how lovely it was! Nice size tv. Bathroom and good range of tea and coffee. Desk wither side. Colour changing light in the bathroom . I was so impressed I stayed in the first night. Slept well and the next morning had breakfast and gary was a pleasure to talk to. Reminds me of my dad. This hotel should be 5 star but defo worth the money and 4 star. It shouldn't be in dorch but on the seafront. I will be going again. I love the brightness and atmosphere. I stay in lots of hotels a year. This has to be one the best. Well done gary and Nicola. See you soon !

The fact I had to leave

I really liked my two nights spent here. The room had everything I needed and was very clean, comfy and cozy. Gary was lovely and made very nice breakfasts. I think it was great value for money and felt very welcoming. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Dorchester!

Honestly there wasn't really anything not to like. Maybe just that the shower/bath combo in the room I had probably needs to be unclogged as it wasn't draining properly and pooling in the tub when I showered. That's really the only (very minor) negative I experienced.

A lovely B&B, with hosts whose hospitality made it feel like staying with friends. Gary is a wonderful host. The room was cozy and pretty, clean and very functional, including the tiny attached bathroom. The breakfast setup and the food was excellent and I had wonderful conversations with co-guests.

The mattress was a bit saggy, the desk chair could have been cleaner and the bathroom was miniscule.

Received a very warm welcome on arrival. I was able to park off road right outside. My room was a good size and had an excellent ensuite. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was served in a lovely room, where guests sat at a large table which seated eight. There was a 'lazy susan' (dumbwaiter) with cereals, fruit, milk, etc on it. My cooked breakfast was lovely too. I enjoyed talking to people that were staying there and to the owner. I walked into the town centre, which wasn't far but buses are another option. I very much enjoyed my short stay at the Bay Tree House and would thoroughly recommend it. Hopefully may return. Thank you for a lovely stay.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like.

The host Gary was a helpful and obliging, flexible about check-in, willing to provide early breakfast. It was quiet and comfy. It was a 3 minute drive, 15 minute walk to the town centre so a good location. The breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty and the right amount: not too much. There was parking. Also good tea bags plus coffee etc in the room.

In the room the mattress, decor and eg curtains were a bit “tired” but we did sleep well.

Given it was very hot day- delighted how airy was bedroom. Friendliness of hosts.

* 2 large mirrors in room- but a tiny one in bathroom would’ve been appreciated. * Pity no breakfast (was aware of this when booking) @ Bay Tree-altho complimentary breakfast at hosts cafe in town was an option.

The Bay Tree House is like a home from home. The rooms are immaculately furnished and clean. Gary provides you with a friendly welcome and takes your breakfast order. The breakfast itself is excellent - whatever you want, it's there. Gary is around for some great breakfast chat too. A little tip - the parking on the street that the Bay Tree is on, is free and unlimited at the weekends from 4.30pm on Fri until 8.30am on Monday.

Nothing - look forward to my next stay.

Breakfasts were fit for a King & Queen! - Room and Bathroom were both spotless - Comfortable bed, Coffee and tea facilities were a welcome addition! Even an iron and ironing board plus a hairdryer were available too!!

THE BEDSIDE TABLE proved to be a tad difficult but only if you happened to open both drawers at the same time. When my wife did so (twice!) the whole unit tilted over and collapsed forward to send the table lamp etc; to the floor!! - Good job we didn't have tea or coffee on it at the time it occurred! May need attention!

Lovely breakfast choices. Location good.for.my purpose. Friendly host.

My own preference would be a.lighter weight duvet as it was very warm weather. I get very warm/hot in rooms and in bed..to be fair I did not.request a thinner duvet so it was my fault.
