The apartments are set in an idyllic spot overlooking the open sea. I felt instantly relaxed and loved the calm, homely, welcoming look and feel of this beautiful accommodation. I particularly enjoyed that feeling of being a bit of the beaten track whilst still being able to enjoy walking to the beach and pubs. Everything was spotlessly clean and it's the first holiday in a while during which I've been able to totally switch off - not easy when you're self-employed and yet totally possible in this tranquil location. We've travelled a lot and this one comes highly recommended.

Excellent location with stunning views out to sea and along Chesil Beach. It is a very short walk through the garden to join the Coast path and an easy walk to the beach and The Hive restaurant at Burton Bradstock. The apartment was everything a beach apartment should be, light and airy with very comfortable lounge/dining area and a very well equipped kitchen. The very big bed was super comfortable and we loved the luxurious bathroom and raindance shower. Easy parking and a lovely garden to enjoy for pre and post dinner drinks! It was all the little touches that made it outstanding, your attention to detail is spot on. We can't wait to come back.

I loved the big bed and the games and DVDs were a nice touch. Very clean and well equipped kitchen.

I found that the bathroom needed another shelf next to the sink so we could put our washing things on. We had to put all our bits around the sink and it was very cluttered. The shower door kept opening unless you wedged something into it and also a few more hangers in the hallway cupboard would be nice, so we could hang out coats up, or maybe some hooks. Also someone kept parking at the front, right by the welcome and reception sign, so when we arrived, we were a bit confused about where to check-in.

A truly beautiful location and the lodge itself was clean tidy and comfortable. The views are spectacular and it is only a shortish walk through the fields to the beach and a little further to the village. The beach was not that crowded and the beach cafe was really good. The village is very beautiful with a nice local shop and a lovely pub, the Three Horseshoes. The other pub, the Anchor was closed while we were there so I can't comment on that. All in all a very relaxing stay in a delightful location.

A bit more in teh way of crockery would be good. But in truth this is really only a minor quibble.

Gorgeous apartment in a great location with great views of the sea. Close to lots of great places like Charmouth and Bridport so a great location to explore the area. The apartment was very spacious, clean and had all the facilities you might need for self catering. The hosts left bottled water, fresh milk, tea, coffee and biscuits and the bathrooms had shower gel, soap and shampoo - these hosts really go over and above. The beds were comfy, there were two televisions and even a DVD library Highly recommend this for either a short break or a full holiday - simply excellent!

Nothing at all, it was perfect

I stayed in the Golden Cap apartment. It was gorgeous. There is a little entrance area beyond the entrance door, with two more doors - one leading into the kitchen/dining/living and one into the bedroom. There was an en-suite leading off from the bedroom. The views were amazing, particularly from the kitchen/living/dining. There were two large windows which looked out onto the meadow/heathland and towards the water. All rooms were decorated really well, rustic but very cosy and very clean. The kitchen looked brand new and had everything you would hope for. The cleaner was very cheerful and helpful. She said I was fine to leave the car in the car park on the day I checked out, while I went for a walk on the beach.

The floor was a little squeaky near the windows particularly, and sounds also carried through the floor and walls from the adjacent apartments. It was curious. You could hear people moving around, but no noise from TV or music.

Fabulous location with panoramic view across the bay and along Chesil Beach. Spotlessly clean, with modern bathroom and kitchen. Comfortable bed with plenty of storage space for a 5 night stay. Very quiet and peaceful, and did not hear any noise from neighbouring apartments. The separate freezer in a rental apartment was a useful addition in ensuring we always had plenty of ice available for Gin & Tonic 😁. Would be great for storing ice cream etc in summer months. Fairly easy walk across the fields to Hive Beach and pubs in Burton Bradstock - though hill is a bit steep on the way back. Excellent food and drinks in the three horseshoes. Club House at West Bexington is also walkable (just under 3 miles each way), but mostly on sand/shingle so need to be fairly energetic to walk back after a few drinks. Taxi back was £20.

Had not realised there is a separate freezer in the kitchen area, before I switched fridge off and spent some time defrosting the freezer at top of the fridge unit. (This would explain why it was completely blocked with ice). Not a problem really as we never used it after we found the separate freezer!

One of the best places we've booked on Booking.com. The apartment was spotless, a real home from home feel. We only stayed a few days but really would have loved to stay longer. The apartment is very well equipped. The location was lovely. The hosts have really thought about everything. If the weather isn't great, there are plenty of board games and DVDs to keep you entertained. We were very lucky with the weather, we were out for most of the time but it was lovely to come back to a really comfortable apartment. The bathroom is better than our en suite at home! We will definitely want to come back and we have recommended the place to all of our friends.

Going home!

Self-catering - so not applicable

I was confused about whether the front door would be locked and whether we had a key for it. I rang both numbers given, one didn’t answer and the second was the owners hotel and the receptionist didn’t know anything about the apartments. The notes also said nothing about what we should do about waste, so we separated the waste using the bags that we found for it, but did not empty the kitchen waste (because we didn’t know what to do with it). We did see bins, we assume it would be obvious where to put kitchen waste if we were staying longer (we stayed 2 nights). Odd there was nothing in the notes about waste.

We loved the view - very calming. The apartment is nicely decorated, very clean, comfortable and had everything you needed. We particularly appreciated the lovely kitchen and the bed was very comfortable. It was thoughtful to have a blind as well as curtains in the bedroom. Wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of all that the lovely apartment offered.

The bath is very deep, so getting in and out maybe difficult for some people, a handle would be useful. For personal preference, we prefer a smaller shower head to be available. But the bathroom is very nice, we are not complaining. The policies on booking.com need to be updated so dog owners know it’s £10 extra (per dog) to be paid in cash on arrival with the extra info on where dogs are allowed in the apartment. More info at time of booking is always appreciated. Would love to visit again but is quite expensive for us.
