The hotel has an amazing location and beautiful views from the front facing rooms, overlooking a gorgeous section of the Oudegracht (Old canal) in Utrecht. The room is tastefully decorated in a vintage style, with nice touches here and there. Lighting is very nice.
I didnt like that you couldn't open up the windows much at all (maybe 15cms max), so the room because a bit stuffy during the warmer days without proper ventilation. A small floor or portable fan would be a nice touch. I also didn't like that while the place provided a hot plate, and some very very basic kitchenware, it did not provide a small skillet, or pot. So the hot plate was useless, unless you bring your own cookingware or buy a cheap, disposable one.

The daily breakfast, delivered to the room was amazing (croissants, whole grain bread, cheese and ham, yogurt, fresh squeezed orange juice, and fruit). Loved the location. It's a little outside of the city centre (about 1/2 mile), but we chose that location- right on the canal, very quiet, and near a small neighborhood with restaurants and shops. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Bathroom was modern and very clean. Overall, a great hotel.
Being American, was concerned about no AC. We lucked out that the weather was very cool during our stay and the fans were more than sufficient.

Fleur and the other front desk staff were wonderful, the rooms were large and lovely, the shower was great, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast each morning was plentiful and delicious, we appreciated the nespresso coffee machine and pods in the room, the location of the hotel was good - a little walk from the train station, but at the quiet end of a canal. And we were very happy to stay in peaceful Utrecht, a quick train ride away from the hubbub of Amsterdam.
More hooks in the bathroom would be helpful. Also we left the windows open at night for air, but there are no screens and we had trouble with mosquitoes. Best to close the windows.

Perfectly situated in the heart of the city and still in a very quiet part of the main canal (Oude Gracht) Even sitting on your table with your partner and watching the canal while sharing a bottle of wine or coffee would be very much enough to live the atmosphere of Utrecht. Antique mirrors and beatiful paintings on the high ceiling walls make the room so lovely. Although we are all day walking travellers we happened to find ourselves in the room occasionally while strolling in the city :) You can pick an umbrella from the reception in rainy days, rent a bike for 10€ from the nearby train station (Vaartsche Rijn Station) and rent a canoe when you walk 50 meters to the left. (10 € per person per hour).
Pricy :)

We absolutely LOVED the museumkwartier hotel. We loved everything about it - the beautiful, colourful, quirky yet luxurious interiors, the ‘non-hotel’ vibe, the friendly and relaxed staff, the delicious and good value breakfast brought to our room at the prearranged time. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was just lovely to spend time in. The mood and aspect of the room changed considerably with the time of day and the weather - as befits a room with personality! We loved hearing the church bells and bird song on Easter Monday morning. We were in room C. We appreciated the fridge; mini kitchen we didn’t use, but imagine could be handy. We appreciated the tea and coffee making facilities. We can’t wait to return.
Nothing.

This hotel is absolutely stunning and exceeded our expectations in every way. The historic building is exceptionally charming and well cared for. Beautiful, immaculately clean, and wonderfully cozy, with all the needed amenities for a comfortable stay and more. We enjoyed a good night’s sleep in soft bedding, with a pleasant breeze blowing in through the windows and the soft, distant sounds of laughter and merriment from across the canal. We woke up to beautiful views and appreciated the convenience of being so close to shops and restaurants. Rosa was an incredibly accommodating and kind host who went out of her way to ensure we felt welcome and were well cared for throughout our stay. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking comfortable and charming accommodations near to downtown attractions.
I don’t have a single complaint — everything was thought of and lovely.

We had been on a tour. After the tour, we moved from a busy part of Utrecht to the Hotel Museumkwartier, which is in a lovely quiet and walkable part of town. The hotel is in an old house and is furnished with antiques. Our suite was at the back and overlooked trees and church spires. Our friend's room was at the front and overlooked the canal. Just beautiful. We ordered their wonderful breakfast, which was brought to our suite up the spiral staircase every morning. Upon arrival and departure, the hotel staff cheerfully carried our luggage up and down the staircase, too. This was excellent as we had thrown our backs out just prior to the trip. Although the hotel is furnished with antiques the bathrooms are delightfully modern. Everything was so clean. It was nice to have a kitchen area. The hotel is one block over from a shopping street that has an excellent grocery store, restaurants, and shopping. It was an easy walk over to the museums and the Dom. There are lovely paths along the canals. There were bicycles but only a few at a time. There are a number of pedestrians and some cars and trucks. Very peaceful even though we arrived on the King's birthday! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
We were worried about the staircase and it proved not to be an issue. There is no elevator but the staff were so helpful.

The property itself has so much character and it truly felt like an authentic Dutch stay with the winding staircases, the crown molding, chandeliers, and the beautiful canal views. The room was comfortable and also full of character with the most breathtaking view. The location could not have been better, walking distance from everything. Breakfast is served in your room, which adds just another level of personal experience. Loved it! The staff was very friendly, on our first day Sasha greeted us and wished us a happy anniversary. We also received a personalised card and flower chocolates in our room from the owner, which really made a big impact on us. So few places go that extra mile to make your stay special. And it truly did make us feel so welcome! Thank you!

This place is gorgeous - well renovated and modern but keeping the old beams, history and character, cosily decorated with lovely antique style furnishings. My wife loved the old books and read one during our stay. Right on the canal in the old town, it is a short walk to explore the beautiful surroundings. The bathroom is small but functional. The staff were great and allowed us to store a large item during our stay, and even offered to carry my wife's suitcase down as we were leaving!
The only (tiny) downside is that the stairs up to the 2 single beds are a little tricky if you need to go to the toilet in the middle of the night.

Wonderful staff! Beautiful location and view! I enjoyed having a table and chairs, coffee maker, teakettle, refrigerator, and a small area for basic cooking. The hotel is close to everything but peaceful. The bed was firmer/better than I expected. The bathroom was spacious.
Wifi was spotty. And yes, the stairs are many and steep for those with knee/mobility issues. One window was blocked by the a/c(?) and the other could only be opened a very small amount.
