For a 2-star motel in this area I was pleasantly surprised. Overall clean and comfortable. Vinyl wood floors (no carpet thankfully). Good water pressure and no issues with hot water. A/C worked well. Good windows shut out noise. There are complaints about pillows but I found them to be fine. Seems the city is cleaning up homeless encampments - there was only 1 guy camped out on the street. Neighborhood seemed “normal” for an urban area. Parking could be an issue, but wasn’t when I was there.

A few minor issues not worth noting.

I loved my stay at the Colony Inn. For a budget price, everything was perfect. Parking was easy and close. Elevator was perfectly placed, making things so easy. Had a couple of questions along the way and the staff was right on top of things. The room was spacious and comfortable.

There is nothing I didn't like. I would suggest a full length mirror somewhere; it's always helpful. Also a light over the desk area would be great. But really everything was super and I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The room was very much no thrills, which you should absolutely expect for the price point. The staff was very polite and accommodating. Shower had great pressure. You're right in the heart of the arts district which is a convenient location for tourists. If you just need a place to shower and rest, you can't go wrong with the value this property represents.

The beds and pillows left quite a lot to be desired, even at the price point. The walls were quite thin, to the point that you can hear people walking gently outside your room.

Fast check in, the door cards were easy to use and worked as expected. The room was clean, beds nicely made and the floor didn't have any sticky spots. Bathroom was nice and well stocked. The heater/air conditioner worked great.

I did notice one thing that I would fix if I were you in room 300. On the cabinet under the bathroom sink on the shelf near the floor there's some missing plywood layers and raw plywood showing. Maybe put a piece of plastic laminate over it or something.

I can honestly say that the entire experience with the property and its staff was amazing! The lady who checked us in was super amazing! She recommended a couple places for us to sight see. The ladies cleaning our room were super nice and helpful! And the man who checked us out was also super nice! It just seems to be the culture and I love it! The location is also great! You got a couple different food options at walking distance! Literally crossing the street! Great experience!!

Everything was good very close to sorts of places to go to even universal studios, museums, stores, restaurants. Great service and staff. I will definitely stay there again!.

The only thing bad about it was parking, there is not enough parking inside, you have to get there before 10pm to secure your spot or else you may have to park outside by the street or by the meeter its free before 8am other then that everything was perfect.

I really enjoyed the jacuzzi bath en suite--it made a real difference in my stay that night.

They were doing some updating and remodeling that could have been noisy or distracting, but the areas were clean, all work resumed at a reasonable hour as to not interfere with guests stay. This place is managed well and staff is respectful and friendly.

We arrived earlier than the check in time and ask if we can have our room and the staff said yes! It was a relief since were so tired after a long drive. The staff was nice and sweet! The room is ordinary but i tell of the things that are in there are functional and just they way it should be! I would like to ask for a microwave though! But overall we had a very good experience

Maybe the community outside, there were tents and stuff but we didnt encounter any uncomfortable circumstances.

It was clean and the bed & shower were good but I was disappointed that there was not in room coffee service. There was an ice bucket but no cups etc. And my bath towels were less than desirable (dingy & thin to be honest). But overall what I needed this stay for was perfect. Location etc was ideal for what I needed this visit. Thank you.

Very close to Universal Parks and Warner Brothers tour! We even walked to Universal on one of the days. Great location for the Hollywood sign and Beverley Hills etc. Parking on site. Rooms are a bit tired but it was immaculately clean. Great location, good price!

Nothing - was great value for money and proximity to parks was fantastic!
