The Bakehouse Motel has been our family’s go-to stopover for over 30 years, and it just keeps delivering the goods! It’s the perfect pit stop on any road trip — comfortable, clean, and reliably welcoming every single time. The beds? Like sleeping on a cloud after a long drive. The bathrooms? Spotless, spacious, and modern. It’s clear the team here really cares about quality and comfort. And of course there's Trapper's bakery. The BEST coffee in town and don’t even get me started on the spinach rolls… flaky, cheesy perfection. We always leave with a bag full of baked goodies and full hearts. The, I assume owners, were really lovely when I checked in after a really long day of driving. The shower was so big and roomy, which was great, and the entire bathroom was clearly pretty new and lovely. I usually hate showering at motels, but staying here I didn't have that usual dread. I liked that the TV was a good size and I could easily connect to Netflix on it. Great size room. In general it was just a great stay, even though it was only the one night. I'll definitely stay again when I'm doing my usual road trips to/from visiting my sister.

Honestly, I can't fault it. It's a great motel compared to most other motels I've stayed in.

We booked the Bakehouse Motel as a stop over on our way to Bendigo from the Mid North Coast. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean and comfortable the accommodation was and having the scrumptious Trapper's Bakehouse on-site for breakfast the following morning was next level. Loved it all, thankyou 🫶

It is located away from the main shopping area, so we had to drive to look for meal options that evening. However close to the Hume for a quick exit next morning 😊

Room 7 - two comfortable lounge chairs. Electric blankets working. Room clean. Beds comfortable. Room 4 - Room Clean. Two glasses found in refrigerator for use. Friendly staff at all times.

Room 4 Monday 7th October. Bathroom door awful hinge squeak at all times. Electric blankets there, but not working. Three hard wooden chairs to watch TV and relax. Toilet seat needs attention. Airconditioner noisy. Rollers on base of single bed need attention. Prefer Room 7. Room 7 Thursday 3rd October.......no glasses provided in room,

Super convenient, we arrived late at night and the after-hours check-in was straightforward. It was a cold night so the staff put the heater on for us ahead of our arrival. Large, clean room with everything you might need for a short stay like ours. Great bakehouse on the doorstep as the name suggests.

Im super sensitive to smells and the place was nice and very clean but smelled like strong cleaning supplies. This one's probably just me being overly sensitive.

Lovely totally new updated bathroom. Right next door to the Bakery and close to more food options. Near the Big Merino for a photo and a look in the shop.

The smell in the room was quite intolerable. We think it was a strong chemical cleaning fluid smell. The motel is used by local contract workers, who kept running into the verandah pole out the front when backing in their work vehicles.

Always one of my favourite places to stay. Ideally located just a short drive from the Highway. Close to restaurants, take-aways, service stations, and joined by an excellent bakery. Rooms are very spacious, beds are very comfortable, bathrooms are very well sized and showers always provide exceptional water pressure.

Only got to spend a short amount of time at the location, so didn't get a chance to fully enjoy all of the facilities on offer.

The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was excellent. Although the motel was near a road, we did not hear any noise from it. The motel is very close to the Hume Highway and it was very easy to continue our journey back to Victoria. The bakery next to the motel was a bonus.

Nothing. In fact Christine and Paul were very helping in arranging to post our clothes to us which we had left hanging in the wardrobe. We have nothing negative to say about our stay.

The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. It was also very warm which was super good and the rain shower was good. There is a very busy cafe right next to the motel which served good coffee and was super convenient. There's also a servo across the street which my friend went to to buy a toothbrush since he forgot his. The room also had a little fridge in it which was handy

There was a bright light outside our window that didn't turn off for a while and so it made it a little hard to go to sleep

This had been our third stop over we have tried different motels in town over the years and we still come back. Minor improvements over the years keep us coming back. Heating drafts and bathrooms have improved will be stopping over again.

Nothing to do with the motel but the bakery next door has gone downhill. The service staff grumpy and short the coffee was like dishwater the egg and bacon roll the next morning was the last straw there's alot of competition across the road.
