Excellent room sizes in some superior rooms, came with a refrigerator and good amenities for a very reasonable price. A lot of food options for breakfast and the staff are lovely, even have a quiet room in the huge breakfast area which is needed. Fast check in/out, with free cocktail for kids.

Scandic is getting older now and really needs a refresher, barely meets the 4* room quality given the older carpets, bathroom fixtures being quite ‘used’ in a sense and the bathtub should really have been sealed so water doesn’t overflow onto the floor. Didn’t have car chargers which would have been helpful. Was hoping for some interesting summer features (climbing & jumping castle etc) like I saw before COVID for the kids but only saw a play room with a big TV and the cold pool with sauna in the basement.

Easy to get to from Oslo airport. Well located and a 10 minute walk to Hafjell ski resort, there is a shuttle bus if you don’t want to walk. They have a machine at the hotel to print your ski passes which was handy. Good breakfast and you could make up sandwiches for lunch. Dinner options slightly limited if you’re there for longer than a few days but worked with us. Room was small but had everything we needed and was clean. Restaurants and spa supermarket all in walking distance

The Scandic Hotel provided excellent value for our ski trip to Hafjell. The location couldn't be better, and having plenty of parking took away any stress about our vehicle. The staff's helpfulness enhanced our experience, and the generous breakfast spread ensured we were ready for a day of skiing. The comfortable room and convenient ski storage made our stay truly enjoyable.

The room lacked proper wardrobe.

Clean and cosy. Great room and shower. Really friendly staff. Games room and Nordic shuffleboard a hit. Breakfast delicious. Location perfect… easy walk through village to slopes. Big supermarket next door and pizza restaurant too. We stayed over Hogmanay and loved watching fireworks light up the mountain. Exceptional value for money over peak holiday time. Thank you.

Nothing! If I had to pick one thing I’d say ski boot room smaller than I’d expect. However we used lockers at foot of lifts so no need to use hotel storage.

Super super comfortable mattress and pillows! Good shower. Fun room with hanging bars and a climbing wall. There is a trampoline room downstairs! Really great variety for breakfast - my husband loved it. Friendly staff! Room was clean. 3 grocery stores close by. Very convenient. Beautiful surroundings. Quiet little ski town with great slopes. Bus for skiing stops right outside. 3 min ride to the ski resort. Oh and Hafjell is also a pretty easy train/bus ride from Oslo airport.

Poor sound proofing in the rooms but thankfully it wasn’t too much of an issue. The restaurant was unable to make modification to suit my dietary needs (obviously not a problem for most). Luckily we found out that Hafjell Hotel Restaurant, basically next door, serves clean meals so we were able to get a nutritious dinner for both of us over there. Despite a couple of negatives we still enjoyed the overall experience at Scandic Hafjell and would consider staying there again.

Good spaces to sit with friends downstairs and a great children's room which was well kitted out. Some of your staff are lovely and really helpful and a great variety of breakfast to cater for everyone's tastes and requirements.

The rooms were very cramped and there was very little storage in the rooms so we had to live out of our suitcases/snowboard bag which was not ideal/ More hooks in the bathroom would have been really useful - all our towels wouldn't fit on the rails and we had nowhere to hook our toilet bags or clothes when we were showering. No bathmat was provided so we used a hand towel.

The breakfast buffet was amazing with a great variety for everyone - children and adults. We also enjoyed swimming in the pool, and we we slept well during the night. The staff were super nice, and the kids got a special treat. Plus, we were able to train in the gym a bit in the morning - another pros in the hotel.

We did consider eating dinner, but the price was a bit expensive. The carpet in our room was sticky, and the amount of clor in the pool should be reduced, but all in all, our stay there was okay.

Superb breakfast buffet. Very nice room. Great sauna and pool. Good bar and games room. An easy 10 min walk to the lift station. Next to spar and a few restaurants. Very good value

breakfast was the best we’ve ever experienced in a chain hotel

Our room was tiny for a family of four. The hotel was dated but still stylish and comfortable. A prominent member of staff was pretty disinterested in her work. I imagine staff will already know who I’m referring too. a kettle in the room and some tea and coffee making facilities would have made the stay more comfortable that said it was a cheap room.
