Very nice and clean facilities. Lovely and delicious breakfast options. Very welcoming and smiling staff are always helpful. Comfortable rooms with private pools.

Lunch and dinner menu does not have a lot of options for a 5 star hotel. But still all of them are very tasty and well made. People can come to pool and hotel beach from outside and they reserve sunbeds for that purpose. We were not warned to reserve a sunbed therefore next day we could not find one. Hotel guests should be prioritized on this.

Nice facilities, clean, good location. Breakfast was also decent but certainly not at a 5-star level.

Check-in / Check-out could be faster (too much paperwork to sign - in most hotels you only need one signature, here they need about three each time) and housekeeping should be standard without you having to ask for it. I also can’t understand this new trend with showers having no doors but just a glass panel that makes it almost impossible to take a shower without messing up half of the bathroom. Aircondition makes strange noises even when switched off and the TV turns on automatically every time you enter the room which can sometimes be quite scary as it takes some time till the sound starts playing. Last but not least, minibars used to be standard in 5-star properties while in this place you only get a fridge with one bottle of water.

The reception and bar staff were great, and nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble, working with me to book our onward transport to our next destination and taxis to take us the 2 miles into the local town; so grateful. We stayed in a suite with a private pool. Our unit also had a secluded garden and 2 comfortable loungers. The suite was spacious and had everything we needed. Breakfast was well supplied although I would have preferred the hot element to be freshly prepared rather than most mornings having to wait for refills (or what was available had passed its best when we ate), which were available, but sometimes took a short while to arrive. We tried 3 local restaurants; not too keen on the nearest (mostly fish) as it was way to greasy for our palettes, but the others were local Greek and very good. Occasional food at the Elysian, was mostly good, ‘what I call’, well prepared Pub style food and the size of the burger extraordinarily large. Overall, recommended.

Located by the sea, but with the beach being shingle and not really suitable for my disabled wife and her wheelchair. The pool was fine, but rarely other guests using whilst we were there, so very comfortable loungers easily available. There were limited umbrellas and shade, when we wanted it, was from trees which, was pretty effective although not quite as versatile as umbrellas would have been. Surprisingly, fresh barista coffee at breakfast, although available, was limited to just one cup (filter was freely available); an unnecessary economy for a 4* hotel, methinks.

We had a lovely stay at Alyssum Hotel & Spa in Kalamata. The room was a good size, very comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The amenities were great, and the staff were warm and welcoming throughout our stay. The setting is beautiful—peaceful and relaxing, with a nice atmosphere all around. The only downside was the gym, which could use a bit of love and attention. Otherwise, a wonderful place to unwind!

While the stay at Alyssum Hotel & Spa was comfortable and the setting beautiful, the gym was disappointing—with outdated equipment, no matching free weights, broken machines, and a lack of functional training gear like yoga mats or Swiss balls.

Extremely friendly reception & service staff, housekeeping very thorough and nice - 10/10. Also it seems that a fully booked Hotel would still mean a relaxed atmosphere with enough space at breakfast, enough sunbeds at the pool etc. etc. Hotel restaurant surprisingly good.

Nothing to complain about - the overall score is 9/10, but the rooms, although spacious and clean, feel not as luxurious as they should at the price. Also, the beach itself, although nice, is a little bit subpar for Peloponnese standards, and you need a car or taxi to access the city of Kalamata (but we knew that before).

Very helpful and friendly staff who are always cheerful and happy to help with anything you may need. The rooms are in separate buildings to the main building of the hotel which could be an issue if you are there when it is raining.

The additional cost of the sauna is ridiculous, so we did not use it. There was a lack of vibration isolation of the condensing unit which is on the roof of the bedroom. This means that there was an intermittent buzzing noise in the

Amazing, amazing, amazing! We were transported into a beauty oasis in Kalamata. Close to the Sea but who needed the beach when we had this incredible pool with very attentive staff. The breakfast had everything your heart and stomach could desire -- specialty coffees, fresh juices, Deples!!! The rooms were private and very comfortable. The bar even had soccer games on for us. Highly recommend!

Nothing comes to mind. You do need a car unless you want to walk aways into town. But perfect vacation. We'll be back.

The hotel is exceptionally good value for money for Greek standards. Staff were very friendly, the rooms were spacious and clean with quiet green balconies. Sports facilities and pools were huge. It's outside of the city and parking in the city is difficult, so the location is isn't perfect. But you have super easy access to a pebble beach just across the road. Only drawback - the beds were not super comfortable, with hard mattresses and super high pillows.

Beautiful resort - we really enjoyed our stay and would return without hesitation. We loved relaxing by the pool. There were plenty of seating options, including loungers, cabanas, and even spots to sit in the pool to read. The beach (just across the street) was also nice. It was rocky and very close to the harbor, so didn't seem too appealing at first, but the water was very clear and it was great to be able to walk back and forth between the our room, the pool, and the beach. The staff was very professional and always friendly and willing to assist. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, and the large lobby area was a nice place to sit. Our room was very spacious, nicely decorated, A/C worked great, big bathroom - very comfortable! Staying here was a nice treat after being on the road the previous week, and staying in smaller hotels.

The pool was not open until 11am, even for lap swimming. According to the front desk, the lifeguard needed to be on duty, even for lap swimming. It was a short drive into town (and nothing nearby to walk to

The Elysian Luxury Hotel and Spa in Kalamata, Greece, was an amazing stay for us! We thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas Eve dinner, which offered excellent choices and was very tasty. The hotel had a cozy atmosphere with beautiful holiday decorations. The staff were exceptionally polite, and the Spa services were outstanding. Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel for a luxurious and festive experience!
