Outstanding hotel. Beautiful facilities with much attention to detail and a fantastic comfortable ambiance. Excellent gourmet restaurant. Outstanding staff that tries to anticipate your every wish. Very comfortable rooms. Beautiful garden, fantastic spa. I found this hotel by chance using booking.com because I needed a place to stay for one night during a long road trip. What a pleasant surprise and a place to remember and perhaps revisit in the future.

The service at the dinner in the restaurant did not live up to my expectations. The dinner and the waiters seemed rushed and that influenced the atmosphere.

A true Northern gem! The hotel is beautifully situated on Flensburg Fjord. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed dinner in the Brasserie and had the first “Spageln” of the season. We stayed in a Maisonette Suite and it was spacious, clean and had views overlooking the Fjord. Very nice. You can hire bikes and cycle to the picturesque Glücksburg Schloss and treat yourself to a coffee in one of the cafes. Flensburg is good for shopping and the harbour promenade is nice for an evening stroll. The old part of town is also very nice and has many great little cafes and boutiques. My husband and I had a lovely break and will certainly be back.

The restaurant was much better than a couple of years ago.

You should stick to classics German sauna policy.

Spa, especially that you can use it the whole day after check out. Fabulous breakfast (of course we got tired of it after 5 days, but the first days it was something to look forward to). The 5 star experience - that’s what we came for Nice surroundings - perfect for the outdoor walks. You don’t have to go to Flensburg, there is plenty to do around. The lobby bar is the place to be - super tasty cocktails and a friendly bar tender. We booked a room without sea view, but there was still a small sea view from our window :)

No coffee or tea maker in the room. Every morning we were asked if we need a reservation for the Brasserie restaurant, but nobody warned us that the Dirk-Luther had to be booked in advance, so when we came it was too late and we missed a chance to eat there :( Brasserie was not impressive and the service there was pretty average too. I wouldn’t pick it again.
