I pretty much stay at the Dunes Lodge any time I am out that side of town. Whether I play golf there, or anywhere around the area. Mostly because I am familiar with the property. But is always clean and tidy, it has stunning views and a very relaxing surroundings. I feel safer there as well, because the security is very good with the coded gates and also, the price per night is usually pretty good for the quality of accommodation. The staff are also amazingly wonderful!! I usually arrive after hours, and they keep in contact with me every time before they close up for the night to ensure I have everything I need to check myself in for the night. The food is also very good.

Links Lodge is situated at The Dunes Golf Links, one of Australia's top public golf courses. The lodging is located on the Mornington Peninsula, where several high quality public golf courses are located. I started playing golf at The Dunes in 2007 on my first trip to Australia and have regularly played there on many trips. The stylish rooms offer good space and have modern shower and plumbing fixtures. The nearby clubhouse offers a menu with good breakfast and lunch. Golf tee times can be reserved, unless the stay is booked at times when course is closed to public play, such as when large multiday tournaments are held. I've found it possible on most trips to the area to get tee times at The Dunes. I usually stay at a small cottage nearby but this time it was unavailable part of my stay. I would consider the Links Lodge at The Dunes for another stay on future visits. There are in room safes offer an extra layer of security for those concerned about safeguarding travel documents. The lodging is fairly new and opened in the last few years. It is separated from the main clubhouse by a short distance and each unit has parking which is separate from common parking areas. My room was a two minute walk to the restaurant and clubhouse.

The breakfast was brunch style and was very tasty. I was able to get both a hot drink and a juice. The room was very big, spacious and private. Each cabin came with its own parking space at the front. Entire unit was very clean and the bathroom was spacious with good shower products. Very close to the two main hot springs.
The internet went out, but the staff apologised and explained the circumstances. Seems like it was a one off incident due to a change in their infrastructure. Not much to do at the lodge if you do not golf. It would be nice to have a gym/ pool or other activities. However, noting that it is a golf course first and foremost, we were very satisfied with our stay overall.

The hotel is in a great location, close to two hot springs. The overall environment is also very beautiful. I think it has enough private space and is suitable for vacation. The hotel staff were very welcoming. I met a very cute sister (I forgot to ask her name) who took us to the peninsula hot springs. Her son is handsome too~😊 I am very grateful to them!
Not very friendly to guests without a car, need to walk a distance. And guests should be reminded before check-in that the hotel does not provide toiletries.

The quiet serenity once you’re tucked away into your private cabin also how clean and modern it was.
The only flaw would be around dusk time we found a couple of foxes around our balcony area apparently they are friendly as guests continue to feed them. With regards to breakfast although not a wide selection it was of a good standard only drawback the price only covers the. basics if you want a coffee then you have to pay for a juice I suppose they have to cover their staffing costs these are minor things still a great place.

The natural beauty of the area was blissful. I loved that you provided mugs and cups for tea (both) and coffee. This is so much nicer than the normal small, miserable cups provided in other hotels.
There was really only on things that would have made this a little better for the spouse. 1. facilities for exercise for people who don't play golf like partners (this could just be a designated running or walking track that is SAFE and reaches the route to Blairgowrie and heads towards the coastline) - or a gym.

Staff are lovely and sweet. Thanks Meg for organising a late check-in due to traffic. Perfect chic room for a getaway with amazing views. Room had great coffee and tea options. Minibar was stocked with lots of options. Room had option 24 hours prior to checking in for in-room service for dinner. Bed and pillows are super comfy. Clubhouse is great with amazing view; fireplace was on keeping all warm and toasty. Breakfast was delicious.
Unfortunately being Melbourne and winter; we arrived when it was cold and raining. Ducted heating didn't work as we tried turning the heater up; grateful there was an electric wall heater in the room for some warmth. We used the blanket supplied in the room while we slept. NB: Cleaner missed a spot on the outside toilet bowl from the previous occupants...

We didn't dine in the cafe just a coffee in the morning before we set off for the day. The coffee was good and the view magnificent of the surrounding countryside.
The menu was mediocre but having said that, we weren't there to dine so we can't comment on the quality of the meals. It would be great if the cafe had a bigger menu to choose from as it was not extensive at all. If you just wnt a quick bite before or after a game of golf then possibly ok for a quick snack.

The property is easy to find and the bungalows have a beautiful view over the golf course. Staff was lovely and facilitated our late check in. Room were very clean and amenities complete. Great breakfast options at the Clubhouse where agin the staff was lovely.
We were put in a handicap room. Great that they have such practical rooms for people in wheelchairs:-) but it made the bathroom super uncomfortable as you literally have nowhere to put down a toiletries bag or some clothes, not even a lid on the toilets. Surely a little shelve could fit. It sounds minor but it was very annoying. The beds were also oddly made, I had to undo it all to be fully covered.
