Great location, super cool vibe, nice selection of snacks and drinks of all sorts, SUPER awesome staff! Our room was supposed to be on the third floor but there was painting taking place and the smell from that was VERY strong and nauseating. When we asked the staff if we could move they allowed us to do that and were so super nice about it. The room we moved into was actually better than the room we initially booked as well; it had direct access to the outside sitting area. The hotel was great but I really think the staff is a HUGE reason for that as well.

Wouldn’t say didn’t like - because there was nothing I didn’t like about it at all. One thing I would mention is that the cleaning staff seemed to only refresh the bathroom which was great, but I guess I was thinking that the bed would be renewed as well and it really wasn’t. The sheets were pulled up and KIND of made but not really “crisped” up. That being said, I don’t know what the expectation is either. I was really glad they did come in and freshen up the bathroom.

the location was very convenient to downtown. the bedrooms and sitting area and kitchenette and bathroom were all very comfortable. the beds were especially luxurious.

the second bedroom was away from the bathroom and would have been awkward if it wasn't a close friend or family member who was staying with you and sharing that bathroom. the 26 stairs up to the first floor and more up to the other floors were hard on my knees. no elevator.

The location was very good. It was close enough to shops, restaurants and harbor, and yet quiet enough for a pleasant evening to rest. The staff was also helpful and informative.

The hotel is historic and there were many stairs to climb to get to our room. We did have a minor concern about safety and braced a chair against the door, as there was only a deadbolt without a second lock for security. Also, the mattress and pillows could be replaced.

I didn't receive any breakfast like I used to get in oast years

There was no ombience or decor. My room was bare and very minimal . In the past I was treated to wall decorations, fancy bedspreads that were reproductions of antiques.Exposed brick... all the things you would expect from a vintage hotel that I experienced in past years. I understand things change, but I was really disappointed 😞

Lovely building (no elevator..,,,(not a big deal for us, but may preclude others). Clean and large rooms. Not much in the way of storage, but to be expected. Freindly and helpful staff. Only one blanket on the bed...grew cold at night. No soap in the cabinet under sink, so washing dishes difficult. Overall, will defintitely stay at the Bishop again.

The beds were incredible. The fireplace that was connected to a thermostat. It was nice to wake up to a nice fire. The antiques were beautiful. Location was awesome. Outside patio was a real bonus.

The stairs! We are seniors. 44 steep steps that you won't be taking two at a time. Thanks to staff for taking our luggage up but hotel really needs a lift of some kind. Parking fee should be included in the daily charge. We thought the lobby would be more like a little bar but didn't have much atmosphere. Pretty high prices for snacks.

Quality interactions with staff at front desk. I watched a young women (from PDX :) ) She worked with a pushy, rude customer with attentiveness and calm solving customers, complaint? concern?

Crickey $ 10.00 for parking. 350.00 a night not enough for you? Ah yes it's only 10 bucks.....it's damaging to you. People might your cheap.

The location couldn’t be beat.

I couldn’t locate my room, #19. It was in the third floor while most of the other rooms with numbers starting with 1 were on the 2nd floor. A sign near the staircase to indicate that a few of the unexpected numbers were on the upper floor would have helped enormously.

We didn't have breakfast at the Hotel, but a fantastic lunch in one of the small restaurants ("Admiralty"?) with a view of the water. The next day we bought scones and coffee for breakfast in the small bakery on the side street off the upper street.

The furnishings in our room seemed a little "tired" and it took forever to get hot water in the shower,

Great location, very comfortable room.

There are 44 steps to the third floor. We didn’t realize that on booking, so that was a bit of a challenge. Staff is unavailable before 9 or after 8.
