Close proximity to the tourist area.

Room was very small and almost impossible with two cases. The lift only takes 4 people and there is only one. Tea and coffee in rooms but no plain tea and no spoon to stir.

The hotel is very centrally located and was very welcoming and clean. The young lady on reception was particularly helpful ; taking time to explain where to park as well as recommendations for eating. The room was comfortable and very clean.

The lack of electrical sockets in the room. To charge devices, we had to firstly bend down and remove the plugs for the mini fridge or light so as to charge our devices. Only one plug point on one side of the bed which you had to remove the bedside light to use. Might seem a minor point but in this day and age where most people have phones, laptops, watches that all require charging it becomes a great inconvenience.

The hotel is magnificent.. beautiful modern and the location is top everything is around the hotel shops , restaurant, coffee shops and the mall 5 minutes across the street...the views absolutely gorgeous The lounge areas were so comfortable one night we decided to order take out we eat there watching F1 from Canada .. nobody bother us and we felt at home . Marcos the hotel manager and his teams were extremely helpful..we had 2 beautiful rooms ..the breakfast was excellent .the whole experience and we will certainly recommend to our friends and we are coming back for sure

This was a return visit to the Hotel following a few days in Aveiro in preparation for our return flight. Our use of the facilities was very limited, but the staff were friendly,

The booking in system could be improved There was a general statement that the rooms would not be ready until 3pm, but there was no offer of an early check in; this resulted in significant queues to check in as everyone returned at 3pm (or just after). There were also some issues with the lift which did not respond well to the call button: this lead to undue anxiety when trying to get off to the airport on departure day.

Great central location close to all attractions. Staff very welcoming & helpful throughout our stay. Parking €10 per day at shopping centre across the road. Very clean room & public areas. Varied & plentiful breakfast. Tea & coffee making facilities as well as complimentary water in room

Just a small niggle for us ladies who like to use hair appliances with a mirror - no plug sockets near the mirror in the room or the bathroom. I used the tv screen to sort of see my reflection!

We chose this hotel because of it's location at the heart of Aveiro. It is centrally located, literally right across from a busy roundabout. Being a historical property we knew that this was likely going to be a renovated older property. The property itself was really nice, you could see that back in the day there was a grand staircase that connected all the floors. Currently, there is a small elevator that takes you up to the floors. The staff were very helpful. Our room, despite not having a view, was quite spacious (even larger than North American standards) with a comfortable bed and well-equipped bathroom. Parking is available at the mall across the street; it is underground parking and there is a small 10 euro daily charge for it; including in/out privileges. The hotel gives you a passcard for the parking. Many restaurants and gift shops are right close to the hotel. We ate at the shopping centre across the street where our car was parked. We left the car in place for the duration of our stay since the hotel being central, allowed us to walk the area. Tour boats are literally right outside the hotel so you can go for a quick canal tour without having to venture too far. Breakfast was really nice with an excellent selection of cheeses, bread, cereal, yogurt, etc. There is a sitting area next to the breakfast area with several couches where you can just sit, read, catch up on email or just relax. There is an area for unloading your luggage right in front of the hotel. It's a single lane, so watch out for taxis honking you to get out of the way as they drop off hotel guests. I was told by the hotel staff not to panic about the pushy taxi drivers; to take my time unloading.

The tricky air conditioning/heating initially drove us nuts. The aircon remote was on the wall and no matter what setting we programmed it, it would not change. We explained the issue to the room cleaner and the front desk. We eventually called the front desk and they remotely shut it off for us. However, we soon realized we had to remove the remote from the wall and point it at the unit for it to work properly. I wish the hotel staff would have pointed out our mistake.

No room safe which is a must in a hotel like this. Houseroom make-up staff was poor. Day two came to do room at 3.30 when we had been out since 11 oc and had just returned. Next day did room early but did not restock tea tray , so no milk, sugar for next morning. Room lack bedside drawers and the door had no closing spring so it did not close unless you pushed it. Small things but at the price these should not be issues.

The hotel location on one of the main canals really put you into he mood & history of Aveiro. Our room was comfortable with a view of the middle of town yet surprisingly quiet. The desk manager (I think his name was Jaime) helped with all the hotel details: parking, discount boat tour tickets; maps & meal suggestions. He really gave us the layout of the town. The tiled hotel breakfast room was magnificent and the breakfast matched. Serving staff was great. The abundant common office space was amazing in size and comfort. We parked the car and walked to everything. Great meals nearby. One of our favorite stops on the tour.

The location is absolutely perfect – right in the center of the city, making it incredibly convenient to explore all the attractions and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. From the hotel, I could easily walk to many of Aveiro’s iconic sites, charming canals, and beautiful Art Nouveau buildings. The proximity to excellent restaurants, cafes, and shops added to the convenience, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the local culture. The hotel itself was clean and well-maintained, with friendly and attentive staff who were always ready to assist. My room was comfortable and well-equipped, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing.

One aspect that I felt could be improved was the breakfast. While the quality was good, there was a noticeable lack of variety. A more diverse selection of breakfast items would have made the mornings even more enjoyable.

The room was lovely! We really enjoyed the neighbourhood with all the little shops, restaurants and the overall atmosphere. The parking was convient. The front desk staff were helpful with suggestions on places to go etc. Our suite looked out towards the canal which was pretty.

What we didn’t expect was the foot traffic noise all night long! Young adults intoxicated and continually yelling. It would not discourage us from staying again but I strongly recommend ear plugs.
