The property was clean and well maintained.

I requested an early check in (2:00pm). The hotel indicated they’d do their best to accommodate. I arrived at 3:00pm, the scheduled check in time, and was told the room wasn’t ready. My family and I had to wait in the lobby for 45-minutes, which put us behind schedule for the wedding we were in town to attend. We decided to start getting dressed in the restroom on the ground floor. The receptionist offered no apologies for the late check in or the inconvenience. In fact, we were treated as though she was doing us a favor rather than a disservice due to the breeched agreement. The experience at checkout was no different……The same receptionist, with poor customer service.

Conveniently located off the highway and the hotel was in walking distance of the U of Albany (we were attending a sporting event there). When it was raining, we were able to drive up a side street and park closer to the field as well. Breakfast was excellent. Waffles, various breads, yogurt, eggs, sausage or bacon, potatoes, cereal, fruit, oatmeal, juices, etc.. The staff was friendly. Rooms were clean and updated. Plenty of outlets for devices. Convenient to several restaurants, stores, and gas.

The mattress seemed slightly sunk in the middle. I have seen this at a number of hotels though. It was not uncomfortable and was only minorly noticeable. There was not a lot of drawer space for clothes. Only one small cupboard with sliding drawer racks. Both of the above are barely worth mentioning though. They did not really negatively impact our stay. Also, the weather stunk.

The room, lobby, gym, pool and breakfast area was clean and spacious. I have been to Albany several times and this hotel is my choice. For the cost, it includes a big hot and cold breakfast that has everything a family would want. Coffee and tea are available all the time with cookies There is a small convenience store that sells snacks drinks and adult drinks too. Also if you forgot something and it’s too cold or late to run out to the store, it’s right in the lobby. If you wanted to work in the breakfast area during the day it was perfect because it was clean and spacious away from people checking in. The gym and pool are complete with towels and water dispenser. The equipment like elliptical, bikes and treadmills are all updated and new peletons. They have nice bench and weights plus a nice pull system. The room is very clean and beds and sheets are very comfortable.

The only thing I noticed was when the heat went on it was very loud, but I didn’t have the room too warm at all, so it rarely came on.

Convenient, clean and comfy. The staff were professional, but several of them seemed stressed, as if over worked. The room was fine and I like the breakfast.

On arrival, I had to park in the back of the property. The back door wouldn’t open without a key and as I hadn’t checked in, I didn’t have a key. The resulting schlep to the front desk was taxing, as I have balance issues. Then, in my ground floor room (110), I discovered that the gauzy curtains wouldn’t close all the way, allowing a distinct gap. I got the impression that the curtains were old and worn and probably should be replaced. Also gauze curtains on a ground floor room seems problematic vis a vie privacy. I felt very much “on display.”

Loved that there was breakfast and that it was good. Plenty of options and food. We went an hour before the end and they were still refilling foods. I've been to many places that stop refilling within the hour and didn't have warm food. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean bathroom and it smelled good in the room. Staff was friendly. Hotel is close to so many things. We had a concert at MVP Arena and it was 14 minutes away (without traffic). (If you're going for a concert or other event leave with at least an hour as traffic is horrible near the arena. )

Everything was fantastic. I was travelling alone and had not planned to spend a night in a hotel while heading home, but I was fatigued and decided to stop for the afternoon and night. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, both the shift when I arrived and when I left. Breakfast featured actual real prepared food not just processed stuff in bags and they even had "to go" bags set up for people in a hurry. The room was super clean and comfortable. I had not trouble controlling the temp which is important to me because I like to sleep in a cold room. I would absolutely stay there a second time.

If I had to choose ONE thing, it would be that I would like to have had more than two pillows on the king bed. That is all.

It was clean and cozy, and the staff were very professional. They responded promptly and helpfully to my inquiries and requests after booking.

The room and building appeared old, even though they were clean and in good condition. One example is that I could hear a "watering" noise—possibly coming from the air conditioner or from a bathroom in another room. The first night was completely quiet, but on the second night, the watering noise disturbed my sleep.

The room was fine, and supplies were fine. The breakfast was great. The staff was lovely. Anytime I have to make a trip to albany, this location is usually my first and only choice. I appreciate the offer to be able to login to Netflix and Amazon video because in past visits I don't recall having that offer. I also appreciated the mini waffle addition.

Not so much I didn't like, but just a preference as the pillows are too too soft. There's no sufficient neck support so sleeping is often uncomfortable for me.

Breakfast was quite typical, well served within the category of such breakfasts in the Hampton Inn

In general, all the breakfasts in all the Hampton Inns that I visited are average, not outstanding. Many items contain too much sugar or too much of corn syrup. The oatmeal is usually watery. Eggs are prepared as some sort of pancakes that or OK but could be better. Breads are of the cheap sliced bread variety.

Rooms were a bit smaller than expected but they were still comfortable. Beds were comfy and well made. Breakfast was excellent 👌 (they have a waffle maker with two types of waffle batters). The other hot breakfast items available for my stay were a cheese omelette, veggie patties (which tasted just like regular sausage patties), smoked maple sausage, and Yukon gold potatoes (home fries), which were well seasoned and served hot.

The hotel seemed a little older than the usual Hampton Inn and other conventional midrange hotels.
