Beautiful old characteristic Hotel. Great helpful and caring staff, breakfast is excellent Thai /Asian food with noodle and omelette section. Gym room has only 3 equipments, could do with some Yoga mats. Located end of the alley way, quiet from main road traffic and safe for an evening stroll.

I stayed longer than most visitors, got brown water from the hot tap twice during my stay and water pooled in the shower room, giving off some musty smell. I would say Plumbing and WiFi could do with an update.

Unique eclectic architectural style throughout, 'Faux' on steroids...but only ten years old according to staff. Excellent undercover/ outdoor swimming pool and deck area, excellent asian breakfast - select this option when you book. Short 100m+ walk off the busy main Huay Kaew road, so very little traffic noise - important when living in the city!

Areas throughout hotel need minor maintenance eg, light fittings (some redundant?) and globes, wallpaper peeling in elevator (first impressions are lasting!), floor tiles missing, pot plants surrounding pool need TLC, basin particle board cupboards in our bathroom need replacing, mouldy exposed concrete surfaces around pool area need cleaning. None of these items require a lot of effort but together detract from the otherwise overall quality of the building.

The breakfast had a huge variety of food to choose from. The hotel is near Maya and has many shops, spas and salons within walking distance. Even though it is right downtown it is surrounded by trees so you feel like you are in the jungle while swimming. Amazing 👏

We didn't have hot water in the evenings. Reception was friendly but not really attentive. They didnt acknowledge me while I patiently waited at the counter and forgot to tell us they checked our room when checking out so we just sat there and waited for no reason. The pool was sooo cold. Refreshing but we couldn't stay in thw water for more than a couple minutes. The aircon worked well in most of our suite but not in one of the rooms so we had to sleep with the door open to get ac from the living room.

The wonderful smiley and helpful staff. Especially FERN, she was a delight and so helpful. 😁 The decor is fabulous, a mix of Thai and English shabby chic. In its day it would have been fabulous., The swimming pool area looks lovely and is a nice place to sit, but the pool is so freezing cold, no one used it all the time we were there. Breakfast is mainly Thai food, very little for European taste.

The lack of maintenance. Taps leak, tiles need regrouting and the old furniture is very rickety, drawers don’t close easily and wardrobes creak and groan when you open or shut the doors. There is no soap for washing your hands. No tea bags available. So you have pretty China cups and saucers. but no tea to put in them.,Very limited amounts of coffee sachets and powder creamer, just enough for two cups. They did have one box of English tea bags at the counter where they serve coffee and orange juice, but the staff were not allowed to give me a couple for the room! Worst of all, the beds are as hard as rock. When we had the twin beds, they put some toppers on for us, but couldn’t do so on the double bed. I had to sleep,on top of the duvet.,pillows are either very hard or soft and floppy.

What a fantastic find! Tucked away on a back-street, well away from the main road, so nice and quiet. We had a lovely double room to the rear of the hotel. It's positioned almost exactly between the old town and Nimman, so an easy walk to both (10-15 mins). Buffet breakfasts were generous, and coffee can be made to order. All the staff were very helpful. You walk past 'Friend Massage' on the way to the hotel, which is also recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is ideally situated, just far enough from the main street to ensure a peaceful environment, yet conveniently close to shops for easy access. Our room was exceptionally clean and featured a spacious bathroom. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options to suit different preferences. The balcony provided a tranquil atmosphere, with trees and birds creating a feeling that you’re not in the city. Additionally, the staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and approachable, enhancing the overall experience.

Beautifully decorated hotel. Impeccable staff, no request was too much. Our room was cleaned and sheets changed every day. Coffee at breakfast was delicious with the best latte art! Complimentary biscuits in reception are a nice touch. Great location, close to Nimmanhaemin which has lots of cool cafes and restaurants. Also close enough to easily walk into the old town.

Breakfast was not suited to Western taste. Very limited options for non-pork eaters, however the staff were very happy to fill my request for hot scrambled egg. You can hear chairs being scraped in rooms above/below. This could be easily fixed by adding pads under the chair legs :)

Beautiful hotel and pool area, lovely comfortable rooms. One new member of staff very pleasant and helpful.

Wrong pin on hotel location therefore taxis went to wrong place and difficult to locate. Huge breakfast choice for meat eaters, very little choice for vegetarians and minimal fresh fruit. Tour information in hotel misleading and requires updating as we booked and paid for trips which weren’t as advertised and had disappointed children! Pool looked gorgeous though very cold.

We booked three rooms for one week and were happy with our choice. The place is charming and beautifully decorated and gives you what you need. It is a super quiet area 200 yards from the main road. Fabolous Breakfast buffet, attentive service, just 5 5-minute walk to restaurants, Massage, and a big Mall nearby.

We would readily return. The view from our room overlooked the pool that was beautiful. We had booked 2 rooms and we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite that was very comfortable. The hotel is in a very quiet location that is unusual for Chiang Mai. The furnishings are reminiscent of the past but are very comfortable. We all loved our stay
