Coffee and tea available morning and throughout the day was a blessing; being able to have a place to do laundry and even purchase soap or drinks without having to go out was also convenient; The room being cleaned and replenished with toilet paper and our sheets being changed weekly and request for a change when there were accidental spills was also quiet nice. The owner took time when she could to talk with us, informative, kind and hospitable. The staff was available for questions, information, as well as helpful in getting things done right away like when one of our team's room key broke, it was done within a day. And when one of our team members accidentally left something, they held it for our team member to pick up after coming back from Maesot for nearly two weeks. there were storage places where we can put things in to lock up and keep safe. And the curtains gave our group alone time and space in a dormitory style room that was tiny. Having a common area to lounge in outside of our small room, hangout, eat, have our team times was also something we liked about Varada.

I think our stay there would have been perfect if we were able to cook for example eggs or make pancakes/crepes for breakfast because we stayed there for a almost a month. Because we were on a budget toasts for breakfast, oatmeal and, yogurt and fruits got repetitive but we made due with what we had access to. Our team loved the cats but a few snuck into our rooms, we had a few people in our group allergic to cats.

I know location well,it was a temporary stay of a month, and perfect for me. I will be renting a studio or 1bedroom and this was Varada was a great, inexpensive clean room, staff very friendly. If your looking for luxury hotel with pool gym restaurant this is not for you.But if looking for safe no frills clean room.Perfect

Conveniently located a short walk from the old town. Friendly, helpful staff, clean rooms, laundry available for a good price, free espresso machine, free drinking water, and resident cats. Very affordable.

There's not much to complain about, really. If you're not a sound sleeper, maybe ask for a room whose window does not face the street, but the back of the building.

I was pleasantly surprised with the location - I didn't realize it was such a busy street! Lots of cafes and options to grab breakfast from.

More of a warning than a complaint - if you have any allergies or problems with cats, you should know there are several (very cute and playful) cats who have the run of the first floor and common area.

The hostel is super clean, the common spaces are very nice, the beds are comfortable (the blanket is the best)!

The location isn’t the most convenient you can find in Chiang Mai.

Varada Place is clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The owner and staff (and their cats!) were fantastic. They were very kind and went above and beyond helping with anything their guests needed. They also provide water and coffee daily. This is truly a wonderful place to stay.

Very helpful staff. One night we stayed was very loud from the bar next door. The other 2 nights were quiet. Clean, comfortable and good value.

Safety, super clean and friendly staff. Beside that great location between Nimman, Maya and old town. Forth time I stayed here, I like the mattresses.
