Overall I am content with this hotel, it is located just beside the Toyama station and Toyama dentetsu station, about 3 min walk, making it easy for you to get around and visit the Tateyama Kurobe area. I Iike the boy who helped me checked in, he is handsome, polite, attentive and ready to help, the checkin and checkout process are smooth and quick, rooms are equipped with all the amenities you need. There is an open public bath at 5th floor, you may enjoy it after long day hiking. By the way, the hotel is actually at 5-10 floors in a shopping mall called MAROOT, where you can find multiple stores, shops, restaurants between 1-4 floors, I think it is very convenient for those tourists who want to make the trip as easy as possible:) Last but not least, you may enjoy a spectacular view from the hallway windows in higher floors (see attached photos).

I don’t have much to complain about, the room is a bit small, it can only fit an open suitcase, but you know small room is commonplace in Japan, which you should aware of before visiting this country :)

The super convenient location (close proximity to trains & busses, is atop a shopping mall and near convenience stores), awesome soundproofing despite the proximity to the Toyama station and bus terminal, modern aesthetics with lobby music, friendly & helpful staff who can understand English. Rooms have a TV that can indicate how busy the public bath & washing machines are, which saves you a trip downstairs to find out. USB charging points are provided. There is a section at the lobby that talks about the things to see and do in Toyama.

There are 3x multi-function washing machines for the whole hotel to share, but drying + washing can be quite long (it can be over 100 minutes long). They provide a system for you to know when a machine is free, but many people queue for it at night. I suggest using the washing machines during the off-peak hours.

The staff and service was incredible, above and beyond what we expected even for Japan. The breakfast was really good as well - a variety of Japanese food including local dishes, but also a selection of western breakfast food.

In hindsight I would have ensured our room had a view of the mountains before booking.

Very near to the train station. Great as a place for stay before embarking on Tateyama Alpine Route. Has a public bath and free coffee from machine.

Toyama is currently advertising the city by providing 2 tram rides to each international tourist for free and you were suppose to get them from the hotel staff. But the reception staff didn’t mention anything about this to us. We only found out from a brochure outside the hotel and asked them before they gave them to us.. there were also free snacks available at the counter during check-in/out and it wasn’t pointed out to us too and the instructions were all in Japanese so we couldn’t have known until we saw someone else taking them.. basically they kinda lacked initiative a little? But it wasn’t too bad overall.

The room was comparatively spacious, with a well-designed bathroom where the toilet is separate from the shower and bath. It even had a large shower cubicle in addition to the bathtub, which is a rare find in Japan. The room was cleverly designed with plenty of ledges to place items on, and it included a bench in addition to the beds. The heat pump/air conditioning worked well, and the TV allowed for easy mirroring from mobile devices, which was a great feature. The mattress and pillows were also very comfortable.

This hotel is priced slightly higher than a more basic option, but the quality and amenities make it well worth the extra cost.

The location - just in front of a railway station and above a department store, with food courts, was a huge plus. Despite the imminent proximity to the railway station, it was quiet and cosy in the rooms. Also the fact that the facility had a little onsen.

The dark coloured lobby felt a bit gloomy and a bit austere. Also it would call for some refreshing. The coffee station in the common space was not so clean. The payment policy - though we stayed there at the end of our visit to Japan, the payment was due earliest.

The hotel is on the top floor of a cozy shopping mall Maroot that is right next to Toyama Station, the tram station and everything else. Maroot has my favourite Muji along with other shops, restaurants and sake bar that are just nice for us to enjoy our 5 nights stay in Toyama. I particularly chose this hotel because it has the public bath which I could have a soak every night after a long day walk. The hotel also has washing machines and dryers that we could wash our clothes almost everyday. The business lounge also provides water refill and coffee tea and snacks and a place for you to work or read. Overall I am very happy with my stay here. Highly recommend people to stay here if you want the convenience.

if your plan is to reach toyama by train, this hotel is right in front of the toyama station. very convenient to connect many interesting places around toyama. room size is bigger than average for this price. good quality bed and pillow. the building itself contain restaurants and a supermarket on its lower floors. a sake testing bar is on its ground floor providing local produced sake which tastes very good. the hotel public bath is a big plus, with a little sauna inside the facility as well. the tv in the room informs how many people using the public bath. the hotel provides a common room containing a microwave, coffee machine, ice maker, drinking water, tea and working /dinning table for guests to use at will. highly recommended.

Location of hotel is convenient and great. The lift access to ground floor helps when you have to struggle with heavy or bulky luggages. Added security with room key tapping at restricted zone past reception area. Complimentary use of lounge, beverages and snacks. Design of room space and facilities were well thought of and very functional. Staffs are generally friendly and helpful.

Choice of original pillows provided in the room could be improved - way to flat and kind of small to our likings. We have to ask for additional pillows which helped to improve our sleep.

The hotel is very conveniently located above a shopping mall, with lovely staff and nice toiletries. The onsen is beautiful, and the breakfast is varied and delicious. The only slightly frustrating thing is the buffet breakfast is done out of a slightly small restaurant so at times we were waiting 10-15mins to be seated for breakfast. Rooms were clean and good sized. Great stay!
