This was the only guest house that we stayed in throughout our trip to Japan and thus we found it a refreshing change compared to our other hotels. First off, it runs like an airbnb where the staff is mostly running things unseen. You enter in both the main entrance and your own unit using a keycode so no more cards/keys to lose, yay! Just note that there are instructions to follow when leaving your individual unit or else you could be leaving all your valuables unlocked. Second, the unit is massive. Our unit with a twin and double bed had an expansive floorplan with a ton of floor space (unheard of!) in addition to separate bath/toilet rooms and an additional kitchenette with cooktop (and plates/utensils/pots/pans) and sink. Also included was a microwave and generous fridge to try out all the 7-11 prepackaged meals! Also an added bonus - the laundry units are free to use as long as you provide your own detergent - 100 yen capsules are sold if you don't want to bring your own. Finally, while Teradacho is a relatively quiet area, the guesthouse is very close to the station south entrance so you're just a quick ride away from wherever you want to go. The station location is very nice too since you can go North on the loop to Tsuruhashi for an easy connection to Nara or South/West to Tennouji or Shin-imamiya with plenty of connections to other lines. It is still also very convenient with you standard convenience stores all within a few blocks as well as a local Don Quijote, which has some nice grocery discounts if you visit at night.

Do be aware of a few things. One - like airbnbs, you will by default be using your towels/provided toiletries for the duration of your stay. Two - the property requests that you take off your shoes and switch to indoor slippers at the front entryway (communal slippers provided). The second one may be off-putting for some though it was manageable for us. Three - for tall people, note that everything is pretty close to the ground so you may need to bend a bit to access the bed/low table, etc.

absolutely everything was amazing and clean. super close to a train station, don quiote, 7/11. toilet was in a separate little area from the shower which is amazing in small spaces. had own little kitchenette and closet. very friendly staff who always said Hi when we left our room in the morning!

the door never opened the first time u entered the code correctly but worked the second time. was annoying but other than that nothing!

The room we stayed in the Guest House was quite comfortable and exceptionally clean. The shower room was very nice and clean although a bit small to host toiletries for 3 different people. Kitchen was quite equipped as well. The location was okay, very close to a train station which was quite comfortable for transportation. Towels were abundant and the sheets were very clean.

The neighborhood looked a bit sketchy, especially during the night time. Also, the common space and lobby did not seem very clean and the slippers offered to the guests at the entrance were not disinfected after use which is not so sanitary.

The apartment-style room I stayed in reminded me of the apartment I lived in in Tokyo for a year, except bigger, and so did the neighbourhood - located in a calm residential street just one stop away from one of the city's major train stations, with restaurants and shops galore in walking distance. I took advantage of the laundry room too, where you can use washing machine and dryer for a very small fee. I could only stay in Osaka for two nights but I need to come back to the city, and I need to come back to Laule'a Tennoji!

Guest House Laule'a Tennoji is conveniently located near a train station on the city loop which made it really easy to see the sights in Osaka. Even though it is really close to the train station (only a one-minute walk), it is surprisingly quiet. It is very clean, comfortable and very well organised with the use of secure codes for entry to the building and the room. There is a 7-11 and a pharmacy close by which was very convenient. We found a delightful, cozy, family-owned coffee shop (down the street and around the corner) where we were very warmly welcomed by a lovely elderly couple who have lived in Osaka for 60 years. This was a highlight of our holiday and we hope to return to visit this lovely couple again!

The apartment is very spacious compared to different options in Japan and you won't find anything better for this price. The whole house is nicely decorated and there are even some recommendations for restaurants and stores. The area is very quiet and nice. You can also do your laundry free of charge. You only need to buy detergent which you can either buy at the store or even in the laundry room. The hallways and the room were very clean. The staff was very friendly. So far, the best accommodation I have had here in Japan and if I'm ever back in Osaka, I'll come here again.

The mattresses would use some upgrade. I could feel the springs on my hips. That is all I can think of. Maybe just that my room was a little too dark because my window was facing the wall of the neighboring house. But since I was mostly out anyway, it's not a great deal.

This is the second time we have stayed at Laule'a. It is literally a two minute walk to Teradacho Station and 10 minutes from Tennoji Station. The rooms are relatively spacious and the common areas, including the laundry, are very well maintained.

The mattresses need attention as there is insufficient padding meaning that the bed springs can and will disturb your sleep.

Perfect place to stay during your trip to Osaka...Very close to Teradacho and Tennoji train stations...The lady in the reception was very friendly and catered to all our needs...You can store your baggage without any additional cost after your check-out and retrieve them whenever you need (check out time is 10:00 a.m. and we retrieved our baggage at 10:00 p.m)...Will definitely visit again! Highly recommended!!!

I think the check-out time is a bit early...it would have been ideal if the check was around 12 p.m.

An excellent, surprisingly large room in a very convenient location. The bathroom was large enough to actually dry yourself without banging into walls and the toilet is separate to the bath/shower room. Overall, I definitely rate this as the best accomodation I have experienced in Japan during two trips. My one negative is that the mattresses are TOO firm - and that from someone who likes a firm mattress!

The overly firm mattress but that is a minor negative.
