The location and view from the room was simply amazing! The staff made us feel at home and they were always there to help us with questions and sorted a driver for us to get to the mountains. Huge thank you to Bayu, Nadiya and Suci - they are the best! 👏💛

Fantastic accomodation in Sembalun with a serene atmosphere, nested in a peaceful scenery, away from the main busy street. Bayu and his colleagues are amazingly warm people, very, very friendly and helpful. Be sure to stay here

Sembalun is very cold at night, just ask for a second blanket.

Great location, only walking distance from the picturesque Sembalun fields of crops. Great start point for Rinjani and Anak Dara. Free breakfast. Quick to organise a scooter at a good price. Great view of Anak Dara and nice garden area. Cool concept of the rooms being an entire chalet. Lovely staff.

We stayed here for two nights, in two different rooms due to booking last minute. The only difference between the regular and deluxe rooms were AC (not needed) and a koi pond in the latter. Both rooms were comfortable and had good bathrooms. The verandas outside the rooms have great views over the valley below. Also, the pancakes for breakfast come with strawberries which was nice.

The host guy just felt a bit off. He tried to charge us 100k per day for a poorly running scooter but dropped to 75k when we were paying, not sure why. For context, you could rent them in the center of town for 60k. The place was far out of town too so we had to go with his scooter or not at all. He also was unhelpful when we asked about bemos/buses to Mataram. He would only offer a private car for what seemed like an extortionate amount compared to others. We found there are bemos available in the end. Also the mie goreng for breakfast was not fried but just packet noodles drained of stock.

I like the garden and the view. It's really calming and refreshing. The place is clean and it's quite cold there. The breakfast also good. You can place order the night before and double confirm with the staf next morning. The room is good, suit with the price. You can park your car in front of the cottage if you drive there. The road up there was a bit bumpy with hole, just be careful. If you stay here, don't forget to go to Kebon Kupi Sembalun as it is just a few mins away, the food and view there are so good.

Overall our stay here was really pleasant. The place is beautiful and bungalows are surroudned by well maintained garden. The breakfast is good enough with huge selection (eggs, rice, noodles). Liked the spacious bathroom where you don't shower over toilet. Also staff was really friendly.

The water is warm enough not to feel unpleasant but certainly not hot. The mosques in the valley are crazy loud but there's probably no place around where you can't hear them. The room is not very spacious and would appreciate some bedside tables. No hangers provided. Wifi not so good sometimes.

Amazing to wake up through the large window across the valley to the hills. A short (but steep) walk up to the lookout restaurant Kebon Kopi for great views and also a short walk along the main road (not so busy) to a local restaurant Tepi Sawah for nice local food looking over the valley. Very nice local breakfast of nasi goreng, mee goreng and local coffee. Not located near shops or ATM so recommend hiring scooter or getting a ride into town.

My stay at Sembalun Kita Cottage was one of the highlights of my entire trip. I met fellow travellers here who had done Rinjani, and as a solo traveller it is always a good sign if the accommodation is able to facilitate contact between guests. The room itself was gorgeous, waking up every morning with the view from the balcony really put me in the right headpsace for the day ahead. The real highlight at this accomodation was the staff - each staff member was friendly and did everything they could to meet the needs of the customer, day or night. The food that I had at the hostel was really excellent,and this is important considering most of the local places close at about 7pm, so if you want to eat a bit later in the evening, it's important that the hostel provides good quality food, which was the case at Sembalun Kita Cottages. The surrounding area is so incredivle I ended up extending my stay, and I organised a tour guide for Pergasingan Hill for sunrise which was truly epic! Can't rate Sembalun Kita Cottage highly enough, and Sembalun is a must for everyone visiting Lombok

The hosts were super nice and accommodating and we had fantastic views from our cottage. Wonderfully hot shower, great food for breakfast and dinner, comfortable chairs on our little porch. Thank you very much for looking after us so well, for the extra blanket and the hot water for my insanely early morning coffee. The two Sembulans are connected by a couple of dirt roads away from the mad traffic with additional paths across the fields. The little residential roads in the villages were fun to explore and people were very friendly everywhere.
