It was the third time we have stayed there. We recently purchased a home in Gate City, Va. just six miles away. So the Red Roof Inn has been our base of operations so to speak. A shout out to Bobbi who prepares the wonderful continental breakfast during the week. She has a tremendous work ethic and does a wonderful job on the excellent breakfast.

We spent the day out at our new home getting things done for our move in end of the month. Tired from a long day, we returned to the hotel at around 4pm and house keeping had not cleaned our room. Not that big of a deal, we survived realizing some times things get missed.

The staff was friendly, polite and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

The shower only worked on the massage setting. The toilet would continue to run if the handle was not moved back up. Had to obtain new room keys on two separate days of a five day stay.

It was a nice enough room. There was a huge race in town. So we were lucky that we got a room at all. They only had 2 double beds in the room. We are use to a queen size bed. So it was a little uncomfortable. But other than that everything else was good.

Breakfast was fine. Shower was great. Water in the show drained nicely.

I made a reservation for non-smoking (as I always do). Check-in person said I made it for smoking and was all sold out. My receipt had smoking with a no-smoking icon next to it. She claimed this was for smoking. Wasn't able to get the key working after two different resets. Counter person tried with a key, but still couldn't get in either. She assigned me another smoking room - claiming she could not make a change because the reservation came from Booking.com. Never saw more than a 10-15 cars in the parking lot - so much for "all sold out." Also, the hotel would only provide room service after three days. I believe the hotel was probably severely understaffed.

Good location. Great value. Our room was clean and smelled great. Big comfortable king bed with good pillows. Water pressure in the shower was great. Good complimentary breakfast and nice staff.

We have no complaints.

the convenient location is the intersection of two busy thoroughfares, so ambient noise level was somewhat high; prices were higher during NASCAR race weekend but still relatively better value than other motels or hotels in the area at that time.

Convenient location for our needs, wish there was some rooms with kitchenettes but really easy to get food nearby.

The bathroom needs updating. I like to take baths and the bathtub was very uncomfortable.

It was close to the interstate for easy access.

the refrigerator didn’t work, couldn’t find any ice machine that worked, and the seal around the entrance door was defective or non-existent which allowed cold air to enter the room all night long. Also, the desk chair armrests were all worn out and unsanitary.

Breakfast was good, but out of biscuits Saturday at 8:30.

A lot of loud talking and activity throughout the night and until daylight. We only had 1 towel on Sunday morning. They did not bring any towels at all. Phone in the room did not work.

Everything was very clean and comfortable. My room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. The pool was cold but very clean and enjoyable.

I didn't like were the motel was located but it was safe
