Beach is easily accessible, wide spread breakfast, and nice pools. Staff super efficient and friendly!

Bed was TOO SOFT, it killed my back. I asked to change the bed the next day and they said they can flip the mattress only which helped slightly. Hotel seemed quite old but they are renovating currently... Also, couldn't get a seat at Prego at 7pm even when they were empty? Staff said they go by timeslot and the next seating was 930pm. We were travelling with kids and a baby and eating at 930pm was not feasible.

The main restaurant had some gluten free options and the Italian restaurant had gluten free pasta which was great even though this wasn't advertised on the menu, we had to ask. We were told the steak couldn't be done gluten free so I assume some of the staff need some training in food allergies. The breakfast buffet had gluten free bread but not a GF toaster and also didn't have food allergies labeled for the other buffet items. The room was great, felt fairly new, awesome bed and great shower and bath and so on. The spa was also really nice and we had one of the best massages ever.

One pool was being rebuilt so the remaining pool was busy and it was advised against swimming in the ocean due to jellyfish but I think that is seasonal.

Rooms were very clean, pool was beautiful and well maintained. Good size gym with several equipments. Breakfast was very good and had a variety of western choices and it was open until 11am. Staff was very helpful and friendly. My daughter was celebrating her birthday and they left a small slice of cake, balloons and decorated our room. The trim was made available prior to check in time.

Western food choices in the hotel restaurant by the pool was limited, but the restaurant accommodated our needs when we ordered a special kids meal. Hotel food prices are very steep and there are not that many choices besides the hotel restaurants nearby.

First of all i was very impressed by how welcoming, warm, nice and attentive all of the staff at Westin was. They were very kind, as I experienced this from the very first day of my arrival at the resort. One staff name 'Cece' attended us for check in, she handled it so well and smooth and assist us on getting the best room we wished for. Another staff name 'Aqiela' was so kind that she's willing to make another birthday deco for our new room. She is so friendly too. Lastly, not to forget another staff name 'Jan', he assisted us from the very beginning of our check in too. Breakfast was excellent! There were variety of food ranging from Malay, Chinese, Indian, American breakfast and a lot more. Spent MYR3.3k for 3D2N, definitely worth it and planning my next stay here!

Just a suggestion to extend the dining hall if possible, because it was quite a long line during breakfast and peak hour. 9 - 10am (busiest). But the lane was fast, hence not a big deal as for now.

Wonderful location where you can get direct access to beach. Facilities are great and well maintained. Housekeeping cleaning was fantastic! Our rooms and bathrooms were spotless everyday! Breakfast was wonderful with a wide variety of cuisine. Beds were comfy and bedlinens were just amazing, down feathered pillows were too soft for us but they provided us with firmer contour pillows when asked for them. We self drove to resort and going in/out of resort carpark was seamless as they automatically register our car at check-in.

There was a queue for breakfast for 2 of the mornings ..... I feel that this could have been managed better.

The staffs were exceptionally friendly and they are such a delight to meet every single time..

The staffs made the difference. Everyone of them I met, greet with a smile. They are always willing to go the extra miles. The reservation team notify me that they will put up a decorations with balloon for our anniversary. On top of that, there was a cake. Check in was flawless. Willing to extend our check out time. The concierge try calling the restaurant as they provide free pick up. The staff at the Bicycles station was trying his best to make sure all guests get to ride. During our breakfast, all staffs were busy clearing up tables, topping up essential, napkins , cutlery .... Appreciate all staff of Westin Desaru Coast Resort. You all are Awesome.

Just have to take note, the mattress is soft.

1. room and view are beautiful (sea view) 2. food is good 3. service is generally quite good 4. parking is easy 5. the whole resort generally feels quite new and well maintain 6. short walk to beach

1. somehow room floor is wet and watery after opening the window door to balcony even just after a short while (I have a feeling that aircon is not good at drying the room, so washed clothes don't quite well as well) 2. The level 1 swimming pool is not so clean (there is another clean and beautiful pool at level 2, but the sun is too bright at the time); this is likely due to guests walking back from the beach and step into the pool with their sandy feet)

Love the very spacious room, big n clean toilet, even the bathtub is big. The view from my room is soo gorgeous with the view of the pool n the beach. Friendly staff, i love it.

The bed is a liitle too soft for me, when i sleep it realy sink me in, unless ure the petite size, hehe, my mom n sil love it tho. The deposit for the hotel should charge for only one night (like any other hotel i stayed b4) instead of the nights we stayed in. Can't imagined when someone who gonna spend for 1 week there. Wasted for us we dun hve credit card, coz we cant spend anything since all the money in cash deposited in the hotel.
