The staff!!! I can’t express my gratitude enough. I lost my phone on my way to the hotel, and spent my first hours at the Hotel Lido trying to locate and/or block it (while locked out of all of my emails), all in the middle of the night. All was well - the phone was, miraculously, found! - and the receptionists helped with and throughout it IMMENSELY, letting me call my family and bank, recommending me the closest shop where I could buy an extra phone and a trusted taxi I could call without access to google maps or uber, making me a coffee while I was going through it, etc. When my phone disappeared, everyone’s reaction was “…welcome to Italy”, but not only was I not robbed here, but I only met extremely kind people who helped me throughout it, starting with Lido’s receptionists. Everything else was good too, my personal crisis aside. The room was clean and well equipped, the hotel easy to reach.

the hotel was pretty nice and the personal too, everyone that i had the pleasure to talk to tried their best to speak to me in any languages. the room was very good and the bed very comfy. they gave me a two sided bed and it was a nice surprise! the breakfast is good. i really liked it. the personal is very focused on having everything good for the meal, if a bottle runs out of juice they’ll change it very very fast. i also liked the location, maybe it was very far away from the center but you could get there on the metro very fast because there’s a station in the park that is very close to the hotel. i asked to the employees so many questions about the city and for advices and they were very helpful.

i think the only think i didn’t like it was that in my room (401) the light for the bathroom was having a little issue to get on. i had to wait just for a few seconds! it okay it doesn’t really matter but in comparison to the other was this one was a bit slower hahah

I was fascinated about the staff that how much understanding and welcoming they were and eager to talk and acquainted with their guests. The day we were with my fiance was my birthday and we came for inter lazio match and we were absolutely happy about location, cleaning, staff etc. Whenever we come to milano, we will stay.

There were no lights in corridors inside of the apartment but its not that much big deal and breakfast could be improved but apart from these it was way too nice experience.

Just exactly what I was looking for, excellent location, room clean and smell nice, friendly staff and good breakfast. I even got a room upgrade free of charge. Grazie mille.

Almost everything, ultra friendly and accomodating staff, great breakfast, great apartment hotel (space), location and facilities provided.

I would prefer that the apartment itself has an Ironing equipment. Since the apartment will lock out electricity when leaving the room - I believe there is close to no potential dangers for any mishaps.

The staff was extremely polite and helpful. The breakfast was good and the room had everything we needed. There are a few reserved parking spots outside the hotel, if you're lucky enough to get one (we were).

Overall everything was good - a minor thing: the toilet seat was unscrewed, but I guess housekeeping just forgot to fix it after cleaning the bathroom as thoroughly as they did.

- The breakfast was good. - The staff was amiable and helpful, except for one man at breakfast who on the first day seemed a bit impatient to explain to me about the coffee (we have to order coffee on a desk). - It was a nice place to rest after the day and I felt good there.

- The localization is not close to the city center, it is necessary to take the metro. It is easy to do that, though. The localization is also very ugly. - The bathroom is quite small, especially the shower. I am a small person and could barely move. - The rooms have no sound isolation at all. I could hear everything. I was lucky because the other guests remained silent during the night, but on the first night, there was a noisy guy in the room close to me and looked like he was in my room. - The room was smelling mould.

The staff member who welcomed me was very welcoming and inviting. The hotel staff was very kind: I got the room ahead of check in time, since I had already arrived early morning with my flight.

the toilet drain in the room bathroom was very loud. all night long I could hear water flowing through the pipes, even when I lay in bed. It interrupted my sleep.

Hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Paola, the manager, was always helping, she was always present at the front desk in the mornings and ready to answer questions or help you with directions etc. They have breakfast (boiled egg, sausage, scrambled egg, bacon, cheese, juice, milk, cake etc and a choice of espresso or cappuccino every morning). It's from 7 to 9:30am but I was late the first day and called the front desk at 9:30am and Paola kept the breakfast going for me to use until 10 am that day! Also Maurizio which was the night person was very helpful and nice, gave me address to a pizza place nearby and gave me helpful tips navigating Milano. They also kept my luggage after checkout for me to pick up at a later time in the day. Also very close like 4mins walk to the metro station and bus stop. And remember that there is bus to and from malpensa airport from the same station close to the hotel, for around 10 euros. Overall I am very happy with the hotel and will stay there again if I go back to Milano.

The water pressure in the shower was low but I guess that is related to the showerhead, you know, to decrease the water usage the install special showerheads. Because the water pressure in the sink was excellent. Other than that, everything was perfect.

You may find more modern hotels but, you will not find any that have the level of service as Hotel Lido. The hotel itself is clean, has pretty much all the amenities you need (except coffee/tea in the room), and is well located to get around Milan easily. However, what sets this hotel head and shoulders above others is its customer service. The staff treat you like family, tending to all your needs with care, speed and a smile. On a scale of 1-to-10, where 10 is exceptional, the service was 1,000. Paola and Luca were truly magnificent.
