Really clean, bathroom appeared fairly new, comfortable bed. The staff on reception were very polite and friendly and were able to let us into our room early. The key code system for rooms is a great idea too.

The description of the property on booking says “a few steps from the airport” which is completely untrue. It’s about a ten minute taxi journey, which is not cheap in Iceland. Fortunately we had realised this before our stay so had managed to make plans accordingly, but it made the hotel seem very expensive for such a basic hotel. I had assumed the price was so high because it was so conveniently located to walk into the airport.

Not far from the airport value for money

There is no one there at midnight and there's late flights. I saw literally three people who couldn't get into the room because the instructions are not very clear so someone should either be available at Night Shift or someone should be there till about 3 o'clock or something I literally had to take someone back to her room to the third floor. She couldn't carry them old lady and she's crying. She couldn't get in her room and we had the same problem. Then we found the email and we found our way, but it is not very clear so maybe work on that otherwise there's no issues

The location and proximity to Keflavik Airport was great. The person working the front desk was very helpful and kind. The family room we were given was huge!

The floor was not super clean, the air intake in the bathroom was covered in dust bunnies, and the run in the room should be thrown out. The hotel is not at all soundproof, so we could hear doors opening and closing and people in the hallway all night, but it is an old military barracks, so this may not be fixable. An airport shuttle would be a great addition - or maybe work with the hotel Konvin for this purpose.

This was a last minute booking due to a flight cancellation. The hotel was affordable, close to KEF and the room was clean. As a bonus, the shower had lots of hot water to help recover from a day of delays. Check-in was also very fast, with a PIN code sent via email. The shuttle back to the airport the next morning was on-time and worked as advertised.

I know that this a 3-star hotel, but lugging heavy bags up several flights of stairs was not a lot of fun.

The bed was very comfortable, private bathroom, everything was clean and the room was super spacious. 10min drive from the airport Keflavik. Waterboiler, tea and cups / glasses on the room. With closed windows, we couldn't hear the nearby airport, it was very calm and we had a relaxing sleep. Nice to stay at before or after a flight!

We couldn't find an elevator to get upstairs - so we're not sure how barrier free the hotel might be - if you'd need an elevator, ask beforehand. (We did not need one, it was just something we noticed.)

The hotel room met my expectations. The room was well equipped for a short stay. Easy check in.

Please can you put signs up for the shuttle pick up. I arrived in the dark by taxi the previous night. I waited outside from 5:20am for my 5:30am shuttle transfer to the airport only to see it drive away as I was standing in the wrong “big parking lot” I did not realise there was another entrance on the other side of the building. This caused some unnecessary delays in getting to the airport and 3 times the price for a taxi.

I wanted an overnight stay close to the airport after two weeks on the road around Iceland in a camper van, and the ABC Hotel was a perfect choice for me. Easily found, with good signage and well-located with two fine restaurants around the corner, it was ideal for a relaxing last night in Iceland. I was also delighted with the fast responses to minor queries from the team (in particular, Gabor) and for organising a taxi for me to the airport too.

The hotel was exactly as described and the facilities were just as I expected, so there were no issues at all.

A good choice for a night before or after a Keflavik flight and, when I booked, cheaper than most of the other airport hotels. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. It is near the Keilir stop on bus service 55 between Keflavik airport and BSI in Reykjavík. There is a small shuttle bus to the airport every half hour from 4.30am but it gets booked up. You can reserve seats online in advance. There isn’t any provision for food but Hotel Konvin next door has a Bistro which gets very busy, so booking is advisable.

The shuttle was not clearly advertised on booking.com and we had to ring the hotel to find out if there was one. It may be “steps away from the airport” as the crow flies but it is certainly not walkable! The staff are very helpful. There is no lift to the upper floors, which is clearly stated in the details, so I requested a ground floor room as we had heavy luggage.

It's close to the airport which was the initial reason we booked the place for our first night of the trip. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, showers and toilet modern and clean as well. It's not a place we'd book for more than a night due to its location but for what we needed, it was very good.

Unfortunately, there's no breakfast option. The fact that there's no elevator in the building might be an issue for some people with heavy luggage.

Small but clean room, near the airport. Has towels, water kettle with tea and coffee. Bed was comfortable and the self check-in process is seamless and easy (especially if you have a late night flight). Good value for money.

The only thing that isn't clearly specified is that you need a car to get there from the airport, you can't walk on the road and it's a little too far to walk (one hour at least).
