For those visiting Blue Lagoon or the Golden Circle this is a great location to stay. Comfortable cabins for two people, may be a bit tight for 4 people.

Great staff, attentive and helpful. Beautiful location in abamdoned town, and driving through fresh lava to get here was amazing, even for somebody living just 30 m away. So clean and perfect, amazing view and easy to get in side with keyebox on every cottage. Housekeeping and towels available up on request, and staff super kind and helpful. Highly recommended, both to fellow Icelanders and guests coming from farther away. Exceeded all expectations. Seems to be suitable also for pple recovering from mold illness, cir mcs and those sensitive to emf , you know who you are :)

Wather... but... it's hard to fix!

Loved the cabin layout, location, and views. Really cozy and comfortable stay. Everything was clean and ready for us to drop in, relax, refresh and figure out where we wanted to explore next. The radiant heated floors and towel heater were especially nice. Great location too, secluded enough to not be swarming with people, but close enough for a short drive to all kinds of Icelandic highlights, and a quick drive from the airport to unwind from travelling.

I really only wish there were some built-in speakers or even a portable bluetooth speaker or some way to easily play some relaxing tunes. We didn't really investigate the tv, so maybe there was an option there, but we were more interested in making some tea to sit and read or enjoy the scenery. Also, the bedroom reading lighting was a bit harsh.

We loved everything about this place. Great space, nice location for the airport, extremely clean, and very nicely decorated. Would definitely stay here again if I want to be close to the Blue Lagoon and the airport!

I asked the owners/managers a question through the booking link concerning the recent volcanic activity and never did receive a response. Fortunately the town was open again and I could go, but it would have been nice for them to confirm my questions.

We haven’t seen any personnel, as all was organised in a way you just get in and out without any need for assistance. Parked at midnight, got to cabin, crashed to sleep, with under ten minutes from parking to sleeping. We stayed through the start of volcanic activity, one hundred tremors/earthquakes at 3.5 magnitude and slept really well - these cabins are very well designed, even for a country where floor is lava:), designed to withstand even heavy earthquakes.kids loved it!

I was under impression that it is too remote/ getting to nice restaurants late in evenings will be tough and we will be stuck with pizza delivery. I was wrong. We discovered lots of local ‘catch of a day’ lovely places to eat late.

Nice accomodation. It was surprisingly warm inside despite being early February. Nice big sofa and the bed was soft. Very clean, and comfortable. Internet was fast.

A lot of shops and restaurants are still closed because of the volcano eruption, and Papa's Pizza is probably the only place you can eat as that was still open. It was almost like a ghost town in February.

Quiet and secluded. Great value. Loved this place. Shower is great. Linens and blankets were cozy and soft. I loved waking up to the view of the harbour every morning. Close to the Blue Lagoon.

The town of Grindevik is charming. I wish I could have experienced it when it was full of life. It is sad all the empty homes and businesses. I did however feel safe staying in the town.

Location to the harbour was directly outside your window. Spacious sleeping area with door. Kitchen area came with hot plate and pots to be used. WiFi router in each cottage. Black out shades for midnight sun. Free parking.

Would have liked outdoor furniture. Location wise the town is dead. Food opens at late times (5-10pm).

Very nice cabin, had everything we needed, induction stove, utensils, fridge, living room, bedroom, bathroom. It was like a mini apartment. Everything was as expected. Photos on booking.com shows the appearance of brand-new, but in reality the property looks a bit aged, although its not a deal-breaker. Very close to the active volcanoes.

- a lot of fishy smell everywhere, probably because its close to the docks - we got some pizza and fish n chips takeout from Papas' Restaurant, pizza was fully burnt, fish n chips had excess oil, please don't go there - lacks of good restaurants nearby

The cottage was very cute and clean and close to the airport. Easy to park my car. I loved the view and watching all the birds outside my window.

I had trouble unlocking the door and then was not ever sure it locked from the inside. Since I was alone and had trouble unlocking it, I did not want to go outside and try it in case I was locked out. When I contacted the manager by phone call, no one answered but they quickly responded to my message. However, I don't know if there was a language barrier but what they told me about how to lock the door from the inside didn't make sense. This would be better if there were just a code and auto lock on the door itself. Since I am a female traveling alone, it's important to me to feel safe in my person and belongings so this made me feel a little insecure, although the area seemed very safe.
