Stunning building and location Our room was right next to the pool. Enjoyed sitting out on the balcony. Gorgeous room. Lots of dining and bar options in the hotel

Too noisey we stayed on the weekend. The bars and Asian restaurant were closed on the Sunday afternoon/ evening. Only the public bar open and dining area we had already dined at on Satd. Room service menu was far too basic. In peak times guests are paying $450 upward for a room. V slow service Satd evening. Our bottle of wine did not arrive. Staff did not appear to have sections. Main courses on the menu were sub standard in comparison to the entrees and did not reflect the wine list selection We found the morning staff lovely And pool guys. Breakfast Sund was well cooked. Monday not so good.

If you are looking for a luxury short stay with Mediterranean vibe this is the place for you. Ideal for couples, girls weekend or spoiling someone special. The accomodation is sensational - recently upgraded and rooms are gorgeous with views of beach and stunning Sorento. Seriously I have not come across such genuine staff that love their jobs and proud of the place they work! Nikita made us feel so welcome on arrival - and Ellieh made our trip memorable for all right reasons. The vibe of Sorrento Hotel is remarkable, It offers a truelly relaxing experience , peaceful and exceptionally clean and well appointed rooms, gorgeous pool with afternoon cocktails, a lively bar if you are in party mood and cosmopolitan restaurants. This is a fabulous stay, where you will made to feel extremely welcome and everyone treated as a special guest !

Our room backed onto the kitchen vent which was quite loud, however we were given the heads up about this before our stay so can't complain.

Location the staff were efficient and professional

On the last night which was a Saturday The bar was excessively crowded with a disco. A group of us did not want to go in there in fact it was too crowded and I believe it was dangerous with drink and overcrowded. We were told there was no other placeand the staff were Barry matter of fact. We asked to see a supervisor and we were given a table but at 11 pm we were told that area was closed and we were being rushed out it is a pity because the 3 days stay in general was very very good but this tainted it. Unfortunately, this could stop us booking that hotel in the future which is a shame because everything else was impressive.

It was beautiful! Clean. The interior was classy and stylish. The hotel is absolutely beautiful! The pool is so dreamy! The massage spa is so great. The rooftop bar was fantastic. The food was fantastic. Oysters were fresh and so good. Prawn pizza was so delicious. The dessert was fantastic in the restaurant. And the food. The staff were so lovely.

I feel bad faulting the property as I just loved this place so much. However, personal preference, I found the bed uncomfortable and lumpy, and not soft and dreamy like I would imagine for such a beautiful hotel.

The moment we got there we were greeted with smiling helpful staff. We ate dinner in the restaurant both nights and thoroughly enjoyed our meals - excellent portions. There is a 10% surcharge on a Sunday - which I don't like but everywhere seems to do that now. Our breakfast was included which is A 'La carte - which I thought was a great idea instead of the buffet type breakfast - so much nicer. It was so refreshing to see plenty of helpful, smiling staff around!

Sorrento is a lovely place to enjoy the Mornington Peninsula. Hotel Sorrento is in a great location with everything you need to make the most of it. The pool is lovely and the rooms are beautiful.

Some of the days we stayed were over the weekend, which meant they were extra noisy/busy. I would avoid the weekend if you want full access to all the hotel’s facilities and you’re looking for peace. I would also have preferred the music at the pool to be a bit more peaceful. A bit too much of a party vibe for me.

Great location. The studio rooms were beautiful and had their own car parks. Loved the bed !!! Well stocked fridge / nibbles too.

The construction is a bit of a mess right now. Couch looks great but very low and not very comfortable. Toilet is low too. But it all looked beautiful.

Excellent location otherwise let down by huge apartment block built directly between hotel and the sea and insufficient accessible parking for house guests. Sometimes the only guest parking available is 100 metres or so away from the hotel grounds and on the side of the street.

Fabulous mid-week getaway at the newly refurbished Hotel Sorrento! The new pool and bar were outstanding, staff extremely friendly and helpful, amenities top notch. Breakfast, which was included, was generous and delicious. Whilst the room was comfortable (Poolside) the furnishing was quite sparse and cold. There were two extremely uncomfortable metal outdoor chairs on the balcony but no table? There also seemed to be a colony of spiders living on the balcony… ugh! Inside there was a lovely sofa but no coffee table, instead a round ottoman… Overall a great experience but a little lack lustre interior wise. Thank you to the amazing team that looked after us, in particular Leah (guest services) and James (Poolside). We will definitely be back.
