Parkhaven Motel is well situated within walking distance of the town centre and opposite a pretty park. It is basic but clean and a reasonable price. We liked: free parking on site, good cold bar fridges, effective air conditioning and ceiling fan, complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits, extra chairs to sit on, a working hairdryer and a closet with coat hangers. Staff were friendly.

Nothing really. The rooms were as described, basic but affordable. However, I booked 3 rooms for ourselves and friends were travelling with. All 3 room keys opened all 3 rooms, so I expect room security is not great!

I had to Travel to Goulburn for an event and wanted accommodation that was within my budget. The motel is located about 1.3km from the centre of the CBD, but really it's only a 15 minute walk or a 3 minute drive in your car and I didn't think it was that inconvenient overall. Off street parking is also available at the motel. The rooms are basic, but with the carpeted floor they feel cosy. My room felt very clean and look to be well maintained. My stay was in the dead of winter and I was very glad to discover that, along with the air con, there was a working radiator to keep the room toasty warm and that the hot water was instantaneous from the shower, which is a nice feature on a cold -4 degree night! A special thank you to Anita at reception. I had to unexpectedly extend my stay by a few days and she was very accommodating. Even when the motel was booked out and I couldn't extend my stay, Anita very kindly organised an alternative accommodation for me. Wonderful service and much appreciated. I was very glad that I chose to stay here.

Was older in style but very well maintained and clean. Comfy clean beds and a helpful place to open my luggage. Didn't have to move the bed to get to the powerpoint so points for that. Great service - I arrived around 8.30pm and the manager checked in with me by phone when I was about an hour away. Easy to get to from the Hume. Good central heating in the room too. The room was also aired out before I got there - I really appreciated that and it was only a few minutes to heat up after I closed the windows. Even in fancy hotels I have had to put up with smelling the cologne of the previous occupants because ventilation seems to be an afterthought in most places.

Fairly minor, but there was a bit of a drain smell in the bathroom in the morning, after it had been closed up all night. I think a lot of these older buildings were not built with proper u-bends/p-traps whatever they're called, in drains in the slab. I just opened the window and aired it out and it was fine, but a bit cold because of that.

The lady on reception was exceptionally friendly and professional even calling to confirm I was still coming. The room was clean and a really good size, excellent water pressure in the shower and ability to control the water temperature. I had a microwave bought to my room and that was great. I was in room five which was a little off the walkway so very little foot traffic.

The window to the room above the bed faced onto a main street and therefore heavier Blockout curtains would be a good idea to limit light into the room

It is a good location, only 900 metres from town. The room was quaint, with a jug, toaster, cuts and plates but no knives or forks. There is ample bench space and a tight but compact bathroom—the advertised room had a microwave, but there was none. Minor note: Need to turn off the fridge when leaving the room (owner's note on fridge). It has a small couch and great a/c, and no issues with hot water: good cable TV (40") and perfect wifi connection. Good lighting and touch bedside lamps are ideal for this room. Onsite car parking is available (not undercover) but open to the street. Overall, it is a good location and room.

Of note, be careful, especially older adults, when entering the room, as there is a significant step up as the entry is not level with the outside. If you're not careful, you might trip on entry.

Bed was delightful! Felt very safe, busy street by day but no road noise at night (that I noticed) Radiator heater was nice to have on a chilly night so the air con could be turned off to sleep. An old fashioned motel sporting an 70/80's vibe but I'd certainly go back.

No a biggie. Couch was at an awkward angle to TV but it was a sofa bed. I pulled it out from the wall. Would suggest putting tv on the wall with a bracket that has a moveable arm.

No fuss, very helpful staff or owner/manager. When I couldnt work the TV remote Anita the manager attended immediately and was easy points & straight forward with her conversation.

Was a hot night so I left open the window in unit 1 (one), however it was easily accessible from outside with only fly screen to inhibit access, so some form of security screen or mesh would have lessened the vigilance.

We came at around 9am or 10am. And we didnt know the check in will be at 2pm. They heard that the other one travelled from long distance about 3 to 4 hrs to Goulburn. Then they quickly changed their plan. They cleaned first the queen room that we requested and told us to wait for about few minutes so we can checked in quickly to lie our back from a long trip of driving. They offered us drink and a place to wait. They are so kind. Thank you and you are different from the others. They let their customers wait until 2pm. No matter how far theyv been travelled but they still have to wait.

Having previously stayed at the property I knew that it was a great choice. When I arrived the room had been pre warmed which was unbelievable. Due to the fact that I was on a tight schedule the owner was happy to wait for me to arrive even though it could have been a few minutes after their normal closing time. For this extra service I was very grateful.

Had a quick stay at this hotel the room was a great size very very clean and lovely and warm when I arrived at 12am The bed was comfortable enough pillows and blankets Adequate parking I did over sleep and woke up past my check out time and they were so fine with that and didn't rush me out I had a wonderful chat to the manager the next day about life So friendly and personable A great place , amazing value for money Will definitely stay again
